Thanks for the warm welcome all:)

Tammie~ Yes I'm a night owl. My sister lives in CO and her boyfriend cracks up at her "MN accent" Ladies tea sounds delightful. Mom and I always do tea at the GF when at WDW so tea on the magic sounds splendid:cloud9:

Kimberly~ Glad to see I won't be the only one with my mom in tow.

Erica~ I have noted 6080 (party room party: )

Do we have an official listing of everyone anywhere I would love to add our info. It doesn't look like the OP has been updated in sometime.

I will try to work on that this weekend. On our last cruise, we had a website for checking in and posting pics of ourselves and profile info - we could get to know each other better. We kept our lists there - lbgraves was the OP - she had us PM her and then she would email us the website - any thoughts? :confused3

Wow! Just found this thread!!! Haven't read all the pages yet. I'll have to have some time to read everything:lmao:

Just wanted to have you count us in!!!:cool1:

We're three rooms - six adults

6099 - Me and my Mom (we've cruised on the Wonder twice before - love CC so this is the pick for us)

6101 - My DS (DBK1029) and his DG (thedisneygirl02) - My DS's first cruise and her first Magic cruise (she cruised previously on the big red boat)

6103 - My DS and his DG - first time cruisers!

SOOOO looking forward to two days at CC:cheer2:

Looking at the list of characters, there's going to be some great trip reports!!!

Welcome, welcome MagicMe and Company!!! Sounds like it will be a wonderful opportunity for all of you to bond! ;)

Woo hoo...I think the ship must be nearly filled by now! :rotfl2:

NO way! I was Gibbs C/O '93

maiden name was Macchia:cool2:

How cool! My friend Jen (Parker, if you know her...but she also went to Seminole) and I used to skip and go over to one of her friends' houses (who went to Gibbs...actually I remember going right on campus during school to pick her up....I don't remember the friend's name though....lonly that she lived in the neighborhoods off Park Street and she had a little brother named David that used to run around the neighborhood pulling his pants down....:confused3 :goodvibes

Glad to be cruising with you!

hi gang, just dropping in to check in. I am still booked for room 7636 !!!! Love that room.

I am going on a 3 night DCL-Wonder in a few weeks (June), then a 7 night this Sept. So today I got together all the clothes for June, put them in one spot in closest. Then went ahead and worked on clothes taking for Sept 07.

Can we say I am in obessed with organization? LOL.

For the Sept 07 cruise I put together a website. If you look in my signature it says Magical Memory Tour 07, click on that to gain access to website.

If we don't have anything like this, and ppl want a website, I will be happy to put something together. Just would need someone to provide me a list of ppl going (Dis user name, those joining them, celebration, dining, room/deck etc..) If look at what I am doing for this Sept will give idea if we want one like that one. If not its ok. Or if someone else has already started a website, keeping a list etc.... could someone please forward that info to me?

Thanks

Whew!!! I was finally able to go back through the pages and read everything.

Party in 6080 - great:banana:

Fish extenders with secret gifts sounds like fun!

High Tea - I'd love to try it. We've been on two 4-night cruises (me and my Mom) and have never been to Palo some I'm looking to try something there!

Looking forward to everything!!!

Hi Everyone!

MagicMe! Welcome aboard! Sounds like a group like ours! :dance3:

Marsha: Thanks! it would be great if you would do the website - I am swamped! I thought it would be fun, but I am swamped:scared1: We leave for WDW in a week, and I still have a graduation party, father's day, a family picnic and a baby shower to plan before I leave - as well as catch up on both of my jobs.

The first page here was updated in March, I think, so we have several new families who have joined. As far as a list of activities, I think we just have the various running DIS conversations we have had. I can look back and make a list of those, if you want. If you want to PM me, I will help.

I think it would help to have a website, especially if we are ordering T-shirts, fish thingys, etc.

**Has everyone seen the new pirate: movie yet? We went last night - awesome! I didn't like the 2nd one, but this one was great - no spoilers, but stay until way after all of the credits have played - it's worth it!:3dglasses **

Have a great memorial day everyone!

Hi Everyone!

~~HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL OUR AMERICAN CRUISERS OUT THERE, AND ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY!~~

Marsha, I did send you a PM yesterday about the website as well. Thanks again!

Count me in to help go back through the pages for rollcall consolidation and other ideas put out there. Perhaps we can break up the pages to review. :confused3

As far as suggested organized activities go, I had written down a few things as I initially read through this thread begining to end. Those inlcuded the following:

  • DIS Meets (possibly at 3:00 pm EDT 9.27.08 before Muster Drill; maybe everyone can wear a lime green lei)
  • A mini Mission project to provide a Costa Maya school with supplies :teacher: (btw, I've found that Dollar Store has 10 packs of Disney pencils for, of course, $1!)
  • Fish Extender "Secret Pirate" Gift Giving :fish:
  • Brunch at Palo
  • High Tea at Palo :coffee: (sounds like men would love to come, too!)
  • On-line meets for tweeners and teens to meet new friends before the cruise
  • Last but not least, a wine and cheese party in room 6080 :rotfl:

I'm sure there were others, but that's what I had written down and/or remember reading. Furthermore, once Jen (Nenner1) gets through her technical difficulties to make a logo, that can be our branding for the site, too! :yay:

We're so fortunate to have so many talented people with us!!

:rotfl: :rotfl2: Technical difficulties!!!:lmao:

Looks like I am just going to have to live with it!! I gave the Dell dude remote access to my laptop and even though he experienced the "slowness" he can't find anything wrong..... GRRRRRR....:furious:

But I re-downloaded photoshop last night, I will just have to install it and then brush up on it and try to figure out the layers. Also opened and read the manual for the Disney Magic Artist software and will get on that also. I *really* hope to get it done in the next two weeks....:artist:

Thank goodness we have plenty of time.!!

Marsha, I checked out your website, that would be awesome! Great idea!!

Off to work on this, guys...back atcha later. HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY EVERYONE!

That sounds good so far! We could also do something like "Mochaccino Day" at the Cove Cafe, and meet up for some of the theme parties in the dance club. Or Martini tastings! Wine Tastings! Beer Tastings!

(do you sense a theme here???) :rolleyes1

We could just designate someone as "roll call" person, and everyone email their info. That's what we did for our last cruise. Every so often we emailed an update to everyone complete with room numbers and activities. It was fun getting those emails! Just an idea. I'm down for whatever!

My friends just got back from Barcelona, they called today to say that someone had come up to them at the bar and told them their hedgehog was doing fine :rotfl: they were like :confused3

Classic.
:lmao:

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

:lmao:
Erica, I was thinking just today about the hedgehog wondering if he survived! That IS classic...very funny!! I hope they had a fantastic time.

The beverage theme idea sounds great. I'm sure my mom would enjoy meeting up with some new friends for coffee, too.

On a related topic, I saw a picture of the martinis lined up in a row on someone's TR, and I knew I was going to be in on that one! When I told one of my friends, he said "so now you have a problem of finding someone to drag you by your toes back to your room". (He knows I'm a lightweight!) I assured him that there would be someone capable of returning me as long as I safety pin my room number to my chest! :rotfl2:

Hey! Mochaccino and Ginger Chews Day could be the next morning. ;)

Welcome to all the new cruisers.

**Has everyone seen the new pirate: movie yet? We went last night - awesome! I didn't like the 2nd one, but this one was great - no spoilers, but stay until way after all of the credits have played - it's worth it!:3dglasses **

We saw POC3 yesterday. Thought it was great. The 2 previous movies had something at the end of them as well, as my DS reminded me, so we stayed until the end of the credits - there are a lot of them. We were the only ones left in the theatre.

Guys I'm so excited for this cruise...I have had dreams about the cruise that pas few nights and it is how far away:rotfl: Call me crazy, but I feel like I can't soak up enough information about cruising and I'm already trying to plan excursions for the trip. I saw that on Thursday night the travel channel is running the Disney Cruise Line show so I'm going to tape it and share it with my mom when I surprise her with the trip. I like the idea of a website for our group...Marsha your site looks awesome!

Tammie I saw Pirates on Thursday night and it was awesome way better than the 2nd installment IMHO too.

Kimberly thanks for compiling the activities list for possible meets. My mom also really enjoys coffee (too bad they don't have coffee tastings...she would be all over that!).

Jen if you need help with the design let me know. I have Photoshop Elements and have made a few t-shirt designs for past trips and I would totally be willing to help ya.

Erica count me in for the martini tastings:drinking1 I'm sure my mom would enjoy the wine tastings. Also I like the e-mail idea as well to keep everyone in the loop.

I am all in for the missions and the martini and any other party you all are planning :)

I think the email idea would be great - some way to stay organized - we have alot of great ideas! I would be game to help - just need to get back from WDW before I start cruisin' :woohoo:

Hello, fellow cruisers! I have volunteered to be the Cast Roll Call owner and the go-to person to for updates and additions to our cruisers list. Here's some good info on that as well as other items that will be of interest to many joining us on our Disney Double Dip Delight Cruise!

:thumbsup2 Cast Roll Call List Submission
At this time, I've included the following datafields in our cruise database, which will have some content uploaded to the website:

  • DIS Name:
  • Real Name:
  • Fellow Passengers/Cabin Mates & ages of kids:
  • Celebrations:
  • Dining Seating (Main or Late):
  • Stateroom:
  • Home Country/State/City:
  • Going to WDW prior to the Cruise?
  • Friday Night Pre-Cruise Hotel Choice:
  • Doing a Back-to-Back cruise from 10/4-11?
  • Various Interests for the Cruise:
[For example: '80s Party, Kid's On-Line Pre-Meets, Costa Maya Mission (see pg 16, post 233), Palo Brunch, Palo High Tea, Adult Beverage Tastings (including coffee, beer, wine, beer, and martinis), Fish Extender Fun (page 29, posts 427 & 429 and for basic dimensions go to page 56, posts 830, 832, 833, & 837), Games (like Pictionary and bingo), Secret Mickey gift exchange (page 52, post 779), pin trading, etc.]
If you desire, please send any of the info above to DoubleDip09-2008@hotmail.com. Obviously no one would be obligated to provide all or any of this info, but if you already had it out there on this thread, I've added it to the spreadsheet. If you have not yet posted any of this info about yourself and would like to do so, feel free to PM me with the scoop or see my signature block for the email addy to submit your info. I do want to make it clear that if you email me at the Hotmail account, your personal email addy will be kept private. It will not be posted to the website! As newbies join us, I'll get them added to the Cast Roll Call List and welcome them to our cruise so they know I captured what they submitted! :grouphug:

:surfweb: Our Own DDD Website!

Brandie's (Fizzgig) DH, Jeremy, has graciously volunteered to create our own DIS Double Dip website!! Jeremy, Brandie, and I will work together to periodically get the updates onto the site. This website contains some chat threads related to specific topics, a group and personal calendar, and so much more! You can also include pictures of yourself or your family in your profile so we know who to run to in the Disney Cruise Terminal! So please sign up to get access to the site, and check it out!!

To establish an account on the website http://www.disdoubledip.com, at the home page you will see a portlet to allow you to log in. Just below the empty fields, there is a link where it says "Don't have an account yet? Sign up as a New User". Click on "New User", fill out the required fields, and it will send an email to the site administrator and automatically email you back. Go into the email that you received (you may need to check your Junk Folder), and select the link within the message to activate your account. Our webmasters will keep an eye on who's requesting an account as well.

princess: Kids' Meet Forum pirate:

Also on our own website is a Kids' Meets Forum to post threads. It's a great way for the children to interact and make friends before meeting them in the cruise terminal or in the clubs!

As a precaution, the Kids' Area on DISDoubleDip.com has controlled access. In order to gain access to it, you must contact Brandie (Fizzgig) with the parents' username and the kiddo's username from the DISDoubleDip website. She and her DH will then get you and your child/children access to the Kids' Meet Thread. Note that if you only have a single household email account, then that's the only username to get added to the Kids' Area Forum. So in that case, there will be no distinction between a kiddo's account and a parents' account for that family.

Rest assured that this forum will be watched *closely* for any inappropriate content. Either the parents or our webmasters (Jeremy and Brandie) will handle the inappropriate content. The "officer" of course will depend on what the situation entails. ::cop:

Cruise Logo

DoubleDipLogoSmall-1.jpg

Do you like it? Do you want it too? :) Post 2083 contains this logo in 3 sizes. Feel free to use them for your siggy, door magnets, or any other grand idea you have!

Logo Merchandise

Cafe Press has many excellent goods that you can order on-line with our cruise logo. This includes postcards, t-shirts, mugs, messenger bags, thongs, hats, and so much more! Step-by-step directions are found in Post 2200.

Double Dip Delight Customized Lanyards

On the day of our cruise departure, you can receive your own Double Dip Delight customized lanyard and personalized name badge. (Here's a big thanks to Erik (tig82174) and Hadley (NHDisneylover) for designing the lanyards and making the name badges for us!) Any info you send onto me will be provided to them so you can have a personalized lanyard for you, your family, and friends that you've registered with me!!

In order to receive them, Erik and Hadley do need your real first name and cabin number*. As we move through 2008, they will be privately contacting those of you who have already registered with me. At that time, they will request that you confirm the information they have received from me or ask for you to provide missing pieces of information they need. If they do not hear back from you with a confirmation, lanyards will not be ordered for your party. So please help them out and ensure you'll have this special keepsake by responding to them.

What's this cost you? Nothing!!! There will be no cost for these as there are a handful of Disney-like DISers cruising with us who volunteered to donate funds to make this memento happen for anyone who wants to join in the "Lanyard Club". In appreciation for their generosity, the contributors will be noted on the back of your name badge. Of course there are other cruisers who are not DISers who would LOVE to have our lanyard for free, so it's important that you register yourself and those you may have recruited to cruise with us; otherwise, if someone is not on the Lanyard List, they will not receive one. So ensure you are signed up with me and that you seek out Erik (tig82174) and/or Hadley (NHDisneylover) on Saturday, September 27 at a predetermined location and time (to be announced later) to pick up your souvenir!!

Read more on Post 3551!

*[BTW, the reason for your cabin number being required is simply to ensure you receive your lanyard. Erik and Hadley want to start their vacation with their families ASAP, too, and we know some of you may be unable to meet up with them at the the posted time. Therefore, in the event you miss eachother, Hadley, Marika (Hadley's DD), and Erik will bring them to your room's fish or door knob later on Saturday.

Please be at peace knowing your cabin number will not be printed on your removable name tag or given to anyone else. For this Lanyard Team initiative, the three of us are the only ones who will have access to your cabin number.]

'80s Party Night

Well Disney can take away the 80's Party night, but they can't take the '80s groove out of the Double Dippers!

Get stoked! All you mall chicks, pull out your leg warmers, stirrup pants, shoulder pads, and big sweater. Then, dress yourself up with jelly bracelets, banana clips, and 4" hoop earrings. For all the studs out there, find that back pocket comb, Ocean Pacific T-shirt, shades, and parachute pants. It's time to get ready to break dance!
5.gif
On "One Hit Wonder" nights, we Double Dip Delighters will be turning the Rockin' Bar D into an '80s club. Now don't have a cow if you forget to pack your Members Only jacket, Izod, or Jordache threads. Just join us at the Rockin' Bar D and party hardy! It's going to be a totally tubular event!
Read what everyone is saying about it in the "Get-togethers on the Boat" Forum.

Awesome, Kimberly! Thanks so much! I know it takes alot of time!:surfweb: I think it would be great to post pics at the website so we can recognize each other when we get there!

Hey Kimberly thanks for doing a roll call for us:goodvibes If I can do anything to help out let me know!! Would you like us to PM you with the information? ETA do you want us to include our ages?
