There must be a nationwide crisis with Closets that make clothes smaller. My clothes have all shrunk recently.

Provided I can get my dress to grow or me to shrink, I will be wearing the dress I have on in my Siggy. That's the only time I can wear it but I have at least 20 lbs to lose if not thirty before it will fit again.

Happy New Year to everyone.

Lois

I just saved over $500 on party dresses at Clearwater Creek, between the 60% off in the store and the 70% off online items code posted on the Budget Board. :cool1: I bought 4 dresses (among other things :goodvibes ) and none of them were over $50.

Brandie

I guess I will have to stop DISing for a while and check out this site.

I love that site. I have to spend some more time on it as I am a larger sized woman, but the prices and the styles are great! Good find!

I put two dresses in my cart, just for kicks, and added the extra code.....and it listed my total as -$174! It said "you do not owe anything, press to ship." So I clicked back, and then went to my cart again and I owed $90.

WHY OH WHY DID I NOT CLICK ORDER????? :rotfl2:

Sometimes I am a little slow.

Happy New Year!

zweihund: :rotfl: Did you end up getting the dresses after all?

Happy New Year, everyone!

Hadley, you better cough up some details on your celebration at your house!

Hello and Happy New Year to all!!!!

Tiffnay it is nice to see you again.

Erica--funny, I have never bought clothes frmo Newport News either--but all of my swimsuits are from them as well:rotfl: I am actaully thinking of ordering some leggings soon though.

Well, we had a lovely time last night with the wedding. We ended up with about 45 people here which was just about right. The Justice of the Peace (one of the grooms' aunts) got lost and almost didn't make it:scared1: But that was the only damper on the evening and she did make it so all was good. It was such a really great group of people and I have to say, other than my own, this wedding is probably the most special I have ever attended (because of the closeness of everyone here--not just the politics at all). We were up way too late (almost 4:00) and Dave, Rio and two friends who stayed here so as not to have to make very long drives home with all the crazies on the road are all still asleep:) Mariak may be as well--I am not sure becuase she stayed overnight with our next door neighbors (who were attending as well) so she could leave soon after the ceremony and have some peace and quiet. She is not so much the party gal (which I totally get--I am somewhat now but was not at all as a kid, teen, in college, etc.).
I hope you all had wonderful and safe New Year's Eve and that the first day of this new year ahs you off to a great start.

Oh, and we officially had the snowiest December on record EVER for New Hampshire when you add in the foot we got yesterday:lmao: We're told to expect another foot starting any time now:scared1:

Hope you are all doing well.....I don't think I can catch up with all the posts I missed the last month!

Things are going well down here. Talk of the cruise has come up more often lately.....is it getting close or something?

Can't even think of shopping yet...hopefully this time I *won't* gain any baby weight (yea right!) So far so good, anyway. I haven't gained any yet, but that may be due to the all-day-morning-sickness!
We weren't able to find out on our first ultrasound if it's a boy or a girl. The next one I have is Jan 10th and we should find out then. My guess:princess:

We will be paying off the cruise balance when we get our tax return next month. I'm really tying to avoid having Citibank finance this one. Does anybody know if you can put an advance deposit towards a shipboard credit this far in advance (or at all)? This is something we'd really like to do, to help keep us on budget this time. :rolleyes1

Feels good to be back...I'd rather be staring at this thread than a white porcelain drain anyday!!

Jen - Sorry to hear you've become so familiar with your bathroom!

I also plan to prepay onboard credits. When I researched it, I learned that you need to call Disney Cruise Line at 1-800-601-8455 to order shipboard credits. Another alternative could be to buy Disney gift cards so the money is basically spent. I'm not planning to go that route myself because then I have the responsibility of the following:

1) pack them to bring with me
2) don't loose them in the next 270 days!

Tiffany - Welcome back!

Happy New Year everyone!!!

We had a small shindig here.. by the time E decieded where he wanted to go it had gone up to $150 EACH! just to get in the door of the club at one of the casinos near by... so We thought umm no lets just throw a party here! So there was about 12 of us and our 2kids along with 2 others. We had a great time laughing our heads off :lmao:. Everyone ended up staying till about 330 am so a nap is in my future LOL.

We ended up watching the cruise video with the kids a while ago and they are all excited but still know its months away.. I got a calander for them that Im going to have a countdown on so I dont have to hear how many more days over and over.. cuz I know it will happen LOL. :rolleyes1

Hadley~ the wedding sounds so neat to do on New Years I told E thats when I really wanted to get married darn the marines for sending him back to work after Thanksgiving was all the time he had LOL.

Jen~ Hope the worse is over. I can remember those days... no fun at all  I too think im going to take our tax refund and pay off the cruise and the credit card and set the rest away for the cruise fund! (or at least thats what I plan and hope to do LOL)

Erica~ I would have done the same thing when I was checking out online so dont kill yourself over it LOL were just not meant to "cheat" the system darn our parents for keepin us honest LOL:mad:

Brandie~ My moms friend told me about her great deal at Clearwater also Im going to have to find this place and go crazy LOL E will love that! :laundy:

Tiffany~ Welcome back if your still into mopping please feel free to come on over to CA and help me out there are some lovely track marks in the kitchen from the messy adults that spilled lastnight LOL

Kimberly~ I think Im with you my mom & Gma got the boys Disney cards for the cruise and I already dont know where they put them LOL GREAT! :sad2: I was putting money aside from my paycheck ever 2weeks but then Thanksgiving stopped that when I started xmas shopping so I will start back up now.

Had 1 question- I was thinking of seeing if they could celebrate the boys birthdays on board P's is in May and J's is in August and E's 35th is in June but since he will be gone he will miss theres and we will miss his. Im fine with 1 cake for all of them but I thought it would be a great way to celebrate together. Would that be ok to do since its not really there bday's let alone even the month of any of there bdays? Kind of like an UNbirthday like Alice in Wonderland.?

Everyone else I hope this is a great start to a great year for you!:wizard:

We celebrated my DH 50th Bday on our last cruise in August and his bday was in April. They brought a special 50th Bday cake to our table and I had purchased the DCL bday decorations for our room. I think the cruise is a perfect time to celebrate any occasion.

ABSOLUTELY you should have very mery UNbirthday celebrations!!! Besides, if you do it as kind of a surprise with an unexpected cake to show up, the boys will be even more thrilled!

BTW, just another tidbit about my cruise savings is that every payday, I've been transferring money into my PayPal account. On my acct, I earn 1% on purchases I make from my PayPal debit card. So when I'm ready to make cruise or on-board credits "purchases", I'll make a few extra bucks that I figure will cover Palo. Plus, that distinctly puts the money aside.

That's awesome!! I'll check it out later tonight!!

THANK YOU, JEREMY AND BRANDIE FOR ALL YOUR WORK ON THIS!!!

The website looks pretty cool! I posted our sailaway party in the calendar! Not sure what else to do yet :goodvibes

The website is awesome!! I posted my answer to the poll and it seems we all seem to really like Castaway Cay....not a big surprise there. Not too many interested in Cozumel. Has everyone been there already and not enjoyed it? We have only cruised to Nassau (on DCL) and Bermuda (many moons ago). So these ports are new to us.

My first thought when I read this was, "There's a poll???" :rotfl:

The funny part is I can't figure out how to vote....

And about the calendar... Yeah, all I could think to put in is that we'd be on a cruise and the dates. And being the paranoid person I am, I made it so anonymous people couldn't see the dates! 'Cause, ya know, it isn't like people would see this thread, huh?

ETA: Found the poll... on the front page. I was evidently in the admin section.
