Hi all. I just got home (have been running ALL day) so I have not even read what I missed yet. BUT there was a lovely envelope from UPS sitting on the coutner when I walked in. I told the kids it was the crusie documetns and Rio immediately shouted "Hurray--let's post dancing bananas on the DIS":lmao:
So here is Rio's docs dance::banana:

It's a cute little "surprise" that someone starts every Holiday.. It goes through the PM system.. Someone PM's you and you just add it to your signature...

OH....and cute that little bouncy guy is....:) :) :)

Good golly. This thread is moving fast tonight! LOL!

Shell ~ Finally had a chance to look at your blog tonight.....you certainly are a creative person. Very nice things you made.:thumbsup2

Hey everyone....

for those of you who've done a 7-night (especially recently) or who are "more in the know"......

Is there a "tropical night" onboard? Or is the character breakfast tropical themed? On the TransAtlantic last year there was.....and I ask because for last year's cruise I made Jason and I matching tropical Mickey print "hawaiian" shirts----but if we won't have an occasion or event to wear them on this trip then we won't bring them (I'm trying to save every spare inch in our bags!!:rotfl2: )

I think Dh is wearing his hawaiina to Parrot Cay one night, that seems tropical

::yes:: Mom got her docs today.. So did our friends.. The only one who didn't get Docs are US :guilty:

None for us either, I was told they were just printed Monday:sad2:

the breakfast last year was Mickeys Island Jam. it was in PC. I am not sure how much it changed from last year. ( last year the characters just danced, this year they greet each table.) I have a Hawaiin shirt for dh and son for this breakfast.

Stacy: is your mom on Deck 8 also? it seems like none of us from Deck 8 have our documents, maybe the best for last. rofl.

Deck 6...no docs

OK...well perhaps we will bring our shirts for the breakfast then....we love dressing as a matching pair and we love themes! (hence the ties, etc)

We also LOVE to match:) Makes for great pics

For those of you who want to dress up for 80's night without using up a lot of room in your suitcase: I just ordered some t-shirts for DH and myself from www.80stees.com. They have some really cute ones!

Great website, which did you order? What night is 80's night...Oh wait should I check post # 1:lmao:

There is a turkey and you get gobbled at Thanksgiving

Christmas you get Ho Ho Ho'd :santa: It is a smiley face that mouths the words ho ho ho

There is even a scary looking Pickle out there too :scared:

Then... PARTY at your Place!!!!

Sweet! Replacement cabin for 6080! :woohoo:

Oh, and sorry for taking my pic off.....I thought it was high time I updated it, and then I forgot to replace it :rotfl: I'll get on that before my photoshop trial expires......

TVepfox: thanks for all the updates! Our own mini celebrity. :)

Hadley: I was wondering how you pronounce your daughters name?

Hey---

Hadley hasn't answered because she's probably running around crazy busy away from the computer again today....but I can tell you how Marika's name is pronounced:

MUH-REE-KUH (with the accent/emphasis on the middle syllable)

So her name kinda rhymes with "Costa Rica" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Erik--thanks for catching and responding to that. I wasn't home at all today. Yes, her name is as Erik says. You can also think of Maria with a K in it--or Paprika (every bottle of papriks we have bougth since Marika was three she has taken a sharpie to and changed to read Marika--now our 6 year old neighbor girl calls it the Marika spice:rotfl2: ).

thank you! I would have pronounced it different. :)

Shell:
Awesome!

Still no documents. :(
I bet you were thinking it soudned liek hte last three syllables of America. That is usually the other pronuciation we get:upsidedow Sorry about your lack of documents.

Today went much better, and he was very proud to show Daddy what we did for phonics. I'm still debating whether or not I want to bring anything onboard or not. Any homeschoolers here....are you bringing anything? I know some schoolers are bringing assignments from teachers...
We will not bring anything "official." Marika will likely haul along a half dozen novels (and have hten all read by day two at WDW). Rio (map man) will probably bring along a world map and ask all the CMs to show him where they are from. But that is just "fun" for the two of them. It is VACATION:thumbsup2
or.. U REEK Ah :lmao:
:rotfl2:

Oh Erik, bring he shirts. Wear them one day at WDW and get some good photopass pictrues or something. I think those shirts are great (everyone--they match /Erik's FE:upsidedow ) Rio looks for that fabric every time we go to JoAnns (I am sure that is NOT where you got it, but I do not have the heart to tell him)--because he wants a shirt just like them--the colors are just so great.

Where would we go to get some type of lanyard to put our money and cards in? I'm not sure if it's called a lanyard or something else. I was looking for something that is waterproof that we can wear around our neck so we don't have to put items money in our pocket. I went to Big 5 and they didn't have anything like that.

Doug and I bought some on the Wonder last year for about $5.00 each. They are little boxes that hold your KTTWC and cash or a visa when we went on excursions. I hear you can get them at REI if you have one of those handy.

And I've now sewed 24 garments for the cruise - only 23 to go! I'm more than halfway there!

Boy! You are chugging along! I cut out Megan's Sleeping Beauty dress today, but when I went to cut out the bottom of the dress I ran out of fabric! I went to the store to get more, but they were all out of that color. I had to buy all new fabric for the bottom of the dress!

I guess that's what I get for waiting!

The kids and I were walking home from the bus stop today and nearly got ran over by the UPS truck. I was so excited to see it going down my street that I didn't care and ran after it to find it stopped in front of my neighbor's house. No Brown for me...no docs! :sad2:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who chases down the UPS guy! :rotfl2:

Here is some pixiedust: that all missing DOCS will arrive soon!

Well, I've been following Hanna's progress and I think we will be OK! We are still going to get hit by her, but she will only come in as a cat 1. I did find out that my Mom didn't buy Hurricane insurance for her new house though! :confused3 As it is right now the storm will make landfall in Wilmington, NC or close to that. I think there is a target on Wilmington because my Mom doesn't have insurance. :sad2:

I'm still wishing Hanna would just go on out to sea and leave everyone alone, but who knows exactly what will happen in the next couple of days.

Tiffany

We have stayed in 8046 on the Wonder & 8080 on the Magic :thumbsup2

We tried to get a 2-bedroom, but they were all booked - all the way through February. So, we ended up with three 1-bedroom suites. Oh well. Still concierge. :) I like perks.

So now, you have 2 cat 4s for no real reason? Bummer!

There is no more 80's night, but I think we all decided to make one night 80's night......................right? :confused3

Anyway, I really wanted the Punky Brewster shirt, but they were sold out! :guilty: So, I settled on the Rainbow Bright :rotfl:
I got my husband Run DMC.

Your inlaws??? You're brave. I can't IMAGINE going on a cruise with my in-laws for 2 days, much less 7! Of course, you may be in a lot better shape with that ... my in-laws can't stand me. Such is life. They don't like spending time with my kids, either. :confused3 And we're the SANE and stable ones in the family. :sad2:
