It is 617, but according to the website, using the confirmation number (well letters) that I was given, it's still leaving at 1:43pm on 9/20/08. Maybe it's full? It would have said it had changed if it had, right?

I would keep an eye on your confirmation. Remember I didn't get an email on the change to my flight home until well over two weeks after I found the change! This happened with that flight but I didn't see the actual change in my itinerary until a couple of days later. It may just be sold out (especially since it's a Saturday) but I'd definitely keep my eye on it. Maybe it will just show back up on the schedule again???

Yes, it is a great risk - he gets 18 days this R & R since he is deployed for 15 mos. We made it ok last time for R & R in 06. We bought travel insurance through USAA and we are covered if he can't make it. :::crosses fingers::::

We'll cross fingers for you too. Dh is the NCO in charge of his shop (intel) so he's the last in line for everything, especially leave. He's also Navy, so still trying to figure out how the Army thing works. :confused3

My nephew is planning to be stationed in Germany after his next PCS to Leavenworth. Yes, he's thinking two ahead. I was hoping Italy, but he doesn't think he'll get it.

Wahoo the girls started school today. the little guy starts kindergarten tomorrow. :cool1: I can go to Target all by myself again. :goodvibes dh said our Visa always goes up the first week of school. :lmao:

I just went through ds' closet and have him half packed all ready. :thumbsup I even labeled a bunch of his clothes "toss". His suitcase will be coming home alot lighter.

Ok...after the day I've had I'm thinking I might need a BIG bottle of Patron. Quick someone tell me how many more days until the cruise?

For all of you who have cruised many times with DCL, I have a question. Do I really need to bring meds in there original containers or can I put them in small ziploc baggies and stuff them into one original container. All meds would be none perscription if that matters.

Born2cruz

My mom was wondering something similar. She has to get her meds from a place that mails them to her in 3-month sizes. She is trying to figure out how to pack all of those big bottles in her carry-on. Suggestions, anyone??

In 37 days, we'll be ON the ship. :)

So do we have confirmation on the new Port Canaveral Policy.

No Liquid beverages of any kind in checked luggage.

You have to bring them in your carryon. :rolleyes1

Good thing I have two mules.

I mean kids. pirate:

Carry them on---that way we can start the party early:love:

Have to clear it with boss. 20/80.

However I think we should start planning which tastings we all want to go to so we can get the tickets upon boarding.

Last time they had

Tequila/Margarita
Beer
Wine
Martini

My husband takes a few prescription meds & a bunch of vitamins and he always keeps them unbottled, mixed, in one of those weekly medicine sorter thingys. He used to travel on a plane every single week for work, & carried that in his carryon and NEVER had a problem. We travel as a family on a plane about every 6 weeks, and check the meds in our luggage, and have NEVER had a problem. And we've had many a TSA search on our luggage (they stick a little paper inside your bag letting you know that you were randomly chosen as a search). That's been our experience....

BUT...I would say that if your meds are the type that is a controlled substance (like Concerta, Atavan, etc) I would say leave them in the prescription bottles. Just to be on the safe side. Jeff takes Lipitor, so there's not much of a black market for that type of drug:lmao:

OMG, a rodeo! I was to a rodeo out in Cody, WY in 2005 and had a blast! It was so much fun!!!!!

:)
We have many rodeos out here, but my favorite is our little North Texas State Fair & Rodeo. It's not the BIG state fair in Dallas...it's a nice little one in a small town nearby. But for a five year old, it's plenty! Carnival rides, games, tonight is the bull riding blowout, corndogs, the local 4H show ring. He loves going & it doesn't cost an arm & a leg!

viagara and aleve are same color and shape.
popcorn:: Might I ask you how know?:dance3:

I just started going to the grocery store on Sunday mornings while Reese stays home with Daddy...I go early, around 8:30, and it's EMPTY and it is wonderful to shop without help from little hands, isn't it?

Ok...after the day I've had I'm thinking I might need a BIG bottle of Patron. Quick someone tell me how many more days until the cruise?

 Had a rough day? Sending a hug your way!

So Chuck E Cheese wasn't too bad. I actually saw the employees (two of them!) with a bucket and scrub brush scrubbing down every surface of the SkeeBall game. Now THAT I like to see!

In one month from today, my DBF and I'll be at MK after having breakfast at Chef Mickey's! I can't wait!!!!

I had a question to ask all of you, but I can't remember! Oh well...when I remember, I'll post it!

Have a great day everybody! :)

WOOHOO one day closer to YOUR vacation means one more day closer to mine LMAO:cool1:

I wish I knew about this thread over a yr ago when i booked me and my family on this cruise. i need all the help i can get to get ready for this cruise....it is almost cruise time and i am not ready one iota...i have picked out what we will wear, what we will do, what we will eat...nothing....i biggest thing right now is finding out what to do as far as transportation to and from the airport...from the airport to my room off site and from room to ship the next day and from the ship directly to airport....any suggestions?:flower3:

WELCOME.. its never to late... Check out post#1 with tons of info.
As for transportation.... We are renting a car from Airport-Port found a deal thru Thrifty. From Port to POP resort we are using FL Tours thru this site to get a limo for 8 of us. Good Luck! and again... :welcome:

I found out through Disney that they will cover any Military cancelations without losing deposits. I was worried E wouldnt be home in time and being how great Disney is they would cover it insurance through them or NOT I  them. So thats for the cruise portion and airfair if you get it thru them also.. but anything on your own you do .. good to have insurance LOL.
Just thought I would throw out how awesome they are.

So do we have confirmation on the new Port Canaveral Policy.

viagara and aleve are same color and shape.

*NOTE TO SELF... do NOT ask Chris for an aleve if I or E get a headach:rolleyes1

Hmm I might be doing that too with (J)DS#2's clothes

Ok...after the day I've had I'm thinking I might need a BIG bottle of Patron. Quick someone tell me how many more days until the cruise?

OH MAN YOU POOR THING... just think in... 37 more days we will be setting sail :boat: fruity umbrella drink in hand AHHH BLISS :drinking1 we can do it!

side note today my lil man turned 6 :bday: today I cant believe I have a 10yr old and 6yr old now. Yet not so sure that 10 yr old will make it to 11 at times LMAO:headache:

Last time I was in Cozumel I was at Nachi Cocom enjoying the all inclusive food and drink. I tipped the guy in the begining for our party of 9 a twenty so we got great service all day. Gave him tip at end too.

Needless to say if I wanted a beer while I was in the ocean I got one.

So the only thing I remember about going back to the ship was.

1. The cab ride back seemed to go at 100mph. Probably would be a bit scary if I were sober because I the spedometer did not work.

2. Going on one of those bike carts to carry my drunk self back to ship.

So if Carlos and Charlies was right there I seemed to have missed it.

Give yourself time to go back on board...get freshed up and then maybe 5:00-5:30ish?

You realize this is Pirate nite.
pirate: pirate: pirate:

Gonna be one CRAZY NITE!!!

I have dinner at possibly 5:45 so I will tell wife and kids I am going to the fitness deck to shower. I figure I can do a lot of damage 5 - 5:30 and
take the bike cart back and be at dinner at 5:45

Yikes...I'm not caught up on today's posts yet! However, there were four things I read that I'm pausing to comment on....more later!

msladyg32, WE'RE SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE NOW!! Welcome to the DISboards and our DISfunctional group! :rotfl: Ask away with your questions to get you relaxed about your planning and preparations.

Oliver, I'm so sorry about your beautiful dog!! Thanks for sharing the video...it was a happy time being outside and eating treats. :)

I ran to the mall at lunch today (it's a terrible shame it's across the street from our monster building). At The Disney Store, I found the adult-sized character ringer t-shirts for $6, thought about Amy, and made a purchase. Additionally, I went to Bath & Body Works.

I've been trying to think of a little something extra to give as a thank you on top of tips to our CMs who will be taking care of our stateroom and dining experiences. I've read that a lot of people give them chocolate, so, in typical Kimberly fashion, I wanted to think of something else that would be useful yet consuming since they don't have much space in their cabins. What do you think about this? I bought gender-neutral scented room freshner sprays (Autumn Apple actually). Is that too corny? It wouldn't be insulting would it? My thoughts were that WE want a fresh scent in our rooms, and I would think they would, too....especially since they don't have verandahs. I'm open to your honest thoughts! You're friends will tell you when you're wayyyy off the deep end, right?!!

...viagara and aleve are same color and shape.
