Does this literally mean each of us personally decide on who you want to drop a surprise off to or who you do not? If so, I honestly, I have concerns about this because some DISers are not extremely active on the thread, thus they may not get many surprises. I absolutely don't want to see some participating cabins get little to nothing. Am I over-reacting or not understanding this choice???


Ok I will have the finale tallys in a bit, we had one last sign up yesterday and Im just waiting on the info back. I let them know it needs to be back asap so hopefully they are just like me and has work/family getting in the way of the the planinng LMAO.

HMM Kimberly I am so glad you ask questions. I hadnt even thought of it like that. HMMMMM I guess cuz I was giving to all, I just plum didnt think outside MY box.

I hadnt planned on spliting the list, I had figured in MY Head that some just were going to split kids vs non kids, all, or just down the middle but obviously if they went half with it.. Some half wouldnt get done and if a few peeps did that well it could end up with some not getting anything.

OK so lets see obviously, I can do the split kids vs non kids. Splitting in half is no prob either. I just need to know who wants it split in half. This way I can be sure all halfs are equal to the amount receiving gifts

I also want to lose some weight before the Disney Cruise. I had lost about 8-10 pounds over the last year which doesn't sound like much, but I kept it off and bought myself a lot of new clothes (in a smaller size) to celebrate. Now I am slowly putting it back on and new clothes aren't fitting too great. I refuse to get out and buy more clothes again in a bigger size. We went out of town this weekend to celebrate my b-day and of course I had a major blow out weekend with the food. I don't even want to know what I weigh now. Tomorrow is back to exercise and eating right. Sooooo anybody want to get some sort of challenge going? Nothing fancy, expensive or dictating but fun? :

I would be up for that as well

Well Monday slipped right by me again. So, to motivate everyone to lose weight NOW so we can splurge on the trip here is a food question of the week.

So, it sounds like a lot of people are willing/excited to do the challenge. I just don't know how to go about setting it all up. I agree that we should have some sort of seperate section so we won't bog everyone down with weight related issues. Any suggestions? Can we start a new thread? I don't know how but sure someone could explain it to me.

We can also discuss what our rewards might be.

Give me ideas/suggestions on how to do this the right way. We should make it as fun, informative and healthy as possible. I love a good challenge. I might fail but at least I will have tried.

This brings back fond memories of when I took a High School French class trip to Quebec City. I've always wanted to stay at Le Château Frontenac ever since. I would love to return with my family now that I'm older.

I accidentally deleted my original request for the Dolphin Encounter for Jeninpa and the kids. I was looking over our hard copy paperwork this morning and noticed her Dolphin Encounter has the date 6/14/08, the time 3:30, and 2 adults, 1 child, 2 infants!

I also got my credit card bill and they charged me the total amount for the excursion, not a deposit.

Going to call them as soon as they open. What was I thinking when I printed the reservation and looked at the information.....obviously not thinking at all!!!!!

I hope this gets changed today.

Sorry to vent, but I couldn't call her this early and get her all upset.

I just filled out our paperwork online to board the ship

I have a few questions about onboard credit:

1. The kids have saved up their own money, can I put it on their card so they can spend it? They will be with us whenever they want to spend so it wont be a free for all. Also would it be better to bring cash or get a disney gift card?

2. We have a disney gift card and i will have my disney rewards card that will pay for our tips, when I look on disneycruise.com, will these be considered cash/other? if thats the case, should I just put a credit card and add the gift cards when we get onboards?

. I have never allowed any child traveling with us to be able to charge. To great a risk if they lose their card Anyone who finds it can charge on it until you get to grest services to have it canceled. So her is what we do. I take a sheet of paper and write the bigining balance on the sheet. Each time the kid buys something we deduct the amount from the balance. That way it is their money but I do not worry about the key card. I do not know if you can put a limit on a key card to allow them to only spend what is theirs.

I have always put a Credit Card on the account to assure ease in check out and added any gift cards or Disney Reward Dollars once on board. They will use those dollars up first then charge any remaining to your card. A word of warning the charges add up very fast so if you are trying to stay in a budget you might want to check your balance every so often at guest services. I will see you there. Lois

I am right there with you about fearing over charging to my card. I am going to use my card and leave my cash in the bank. I guess I am more afraid of losing a large amount of cash. We will bring a couble hundred in cash for use in port. What we do is keep an eye on what we are spending by checking our balance at guest services. If you want to apply cash they will take it. I understand it is still considered good legal tender.

I would come home with 2 extra suitcases of stuffed animals I dont need.

You can put cash on your bill when you first arrive. I know you can make payments as you go along too. Guest services (deck 3) can print you up a room receipt any time you need one.

Gramto3. I hope you are able to get everything straightened out. Our cc was charged right away too. I didnt get an email confirmation at first either. I kept emailing them. ( they had my wrong email address.)

Another day closer....another thing done!

Today I received our new embarkation logo T-Shirts from Cafe Press. Some of you may remember that the jersey cap-sleeved ones I bought back in Oct turned out to be junior sizes, so they were literally 2 sizes too small. Something to aspire to to wear next summer maybe. I am amazed at how quickly they were made and delivered. I ordered them Sat afternoon, and at 4:30ish am on Monday, I had a tracking number in my email box. Amazing.

Today is my DBF and my 2nd anniversary together! It's so exciting! We're going to have dinner and then just spend the evening together. We met on Dismates.com and actually started talking through PMs here on the Dis. Well, that happened after I searched his name and then went through like 20 pages of posts to find him, joined the Dis and THEN finally PMed him. Then 2 years ago today we met and had our first date and the rest is history! He truly is my Prince Charming and I am so excited to see him tonight!
