Fizzgig, no problem really. It was nice to you to look for that!

Magic3forme, I will follow your advice. Did she told you to call few weeks prior to the cruise because of the possibilities of cancellation ?

I have been giving some thought to the weight loss challenge. Here are my two ideas thus far. 1) we could all keep track of who is doing it and at the end if we have met goal we could exchange names and then swap a small, small gift or 2) if we meet our goal we could meet somewhere on ship and celebrate with each other. Any other suggestions?

Have a healthy day.

I'm in only if my gift will be a very LARGE bag of chips!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

We love to talk cruising!

Errrr....make that just plain ole "we love to talk".....:surfweb: :surfweb:

Welcome Salome to this very friendly group.......I'm sure you will have a good time chatting with all of us.:flower3:

Hé!! I want to thank everyone because my husband just called and we are book for the dolphin encounter for 2PM !!:cool1:

I'm so happy! We will have enough time and since it's free for my 4yo I save alot by booking direct!!!

So thanks again for the advice, I don't think I would have called since there was no availability online!!:worship:

got to go now, the kids want to see WALL E :woohoo:

Yeah someone from this cruise is finally in our Dolphin time slot. :goodvibes Glad you were able to get a different time.

We are a family of 4; me, my husband, 6yo son (Frédéric) and 4yo girl (Viviane) We are from Quebec and speak french....

Congrats on getting in on the 2:00 slot!

As promised, I looked up some stats for you....

We have other Canadian families from Ontario (Barrie), Ottawa, and Toronto.

Your kids are in popular age groups! There are ten other princes the same age of Frédéric, and seven other 4 yr-old princesses that Viviane can play with.

I am so jealous and very proud of all of you for taking on this challenge. Ya see, I will be 22 weeks pregnant when we embark on our Mexico bound journey and well, let's just say right now losing weight for me is NOT an option. :sad2:

My husband on the other hand, is taking this challenge, how do you say, like a 'bull by the horns' and has the will power of a stubborn horse...(I type as I pick up a nice big BLT in one hand). :rolleyes1

Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck, and can't wait to hear how everyone is doing in their mad dash to drop those extra couple (or twenty) pounds before we set sail! :sail:

Happy dieting, all! :yay:

The only way I know is to perhaps post or PM to someone what your goal loss is (not your weight) and then just be honest if we met it or not by sail date.

We could have ideas, challenges, recipes, etc. to get us and keep us motivated until time. I am personally starting a 40 day challenge. I did this last summer when I lost some of my weight. For me, I chose 40 days of no soda because that is my biggest downfall. (empty calories) I had 40 days of water, milk or lemonade only. Very tough but I did it. That is what I am going to do this time in addition to trying to limit my sugar intake and increase my fruits and veggies. Basically healthier eating. I couldn't believe how much better I felt off the sodas. Slept better, felt better and much less grouchy.

Please post or PM ideas for the challenge. Have a healthy day.

You are my hero!!!! Soda is my downfall too and I will do it starting tomorrow! I know we have more then 40 days, but I want to start now. Without soda I seem to be more snappier and less patience, but you made it sound heavenly and I will follow you. I am excited about dieting!

Hi, Salome.

Je parle Francois tres peu et tres mal. (One of the few things I remember from 3 years of French in High School.) :rotfl2:

Welcome to the boards! Congrats on getting a 2PM slot for the dolphins. We're one of the folks scheduled for 1PM so we'll get them warmed up for you.

Another good reason for the promenade lounge is that we can talk about things we are doing together and run over to guest services and book them.

e.g.

liquor tasting
tea with some girl (Wendy or Alice etc.)
It also perhaps will be a shorter trek back to the rooms to get orange vests

Oh geez....why did I get post #666??

:scared1: hate it when that happens

So I am in with y'all on this precruise weight challenge - I was already doing it but can always uses even more reason to focus on it. After all - need room for the zillion calorie souffle I plan to savor :woohoo:

You have a wonderful reason to NOT diet! How exciting for you!!! :)

I'm up for losing some weight before the cruise...I'm trying to be good...but when I'm at WDW in 10 days, the diet is off! :) I want some WDW popcorn!!! ;)

So, it sounds like a lot of people are willing/excited to do the challenge. I just don't know how to go about setting it all up. I agree that we should have some sort of seperate section so we won't bog everyone down with weight related issues. Any suggestions? Can we start a new thread? I don't know how but sure someone could explain it to me.

We can also discuss what our rewards might be.

Give me ideas/suggestions on how to do this the right way. We should make it as fun, informative and healthy as possible. I love a good challenge. I might fail but at least I will have tried.
:thumbsup2

Hi,
Did anyone have any interest in doing the Nativeway Grand Cayman excursion for stingrays, snorkeling and starfish? Cyndifan has the 9:00 slot and if we add to her booking we could possibly all get $5 off each person.

Please PM me and we will see about setting something up.

http://www.nativewaywatersports.com if you want to check it out.

its 11:02 EST and high tea is avaialbe at Palo for 1-2 people, GO GET IT!

Hi All,
Marika and I are just back from a girls' night out. She and I and her best friend, Haley and Haley's mom went to see Wierd All in concert:woohoo: Oh my gosh--he puts on quite a show. It was a very fun night:rotfl2:

Salome--Do you live anywhere near Montreal? It is one of my favourite cities to visit.
