Oh my gosh...please, someone, tell me where the summer went!!!

I have a quick question...then I"ll be gone for a few days, then I'll be back with maps.

My question: Can we pay for all online charges with a check at the end of the cruise? If so, when I set up our account, do I check the "cash/other" selection?

Thank you!

I am so behind schedule getting ready for this trip!! YIKES!!

How many of the ladies out there are actually going to be in full length gowns for formal night? I was planning on wearing one, but I don't want to overdo it. Any opinions? Are you planning on changing after dinner?
Thanks!

My dress for formal night is full length. Its the dress I wore in my Dsis's wedding last spring. Thankfully it still fits.

As far as names go............I've wanted to change mine. Since my name is Rhonda, I heard all sorts of things having to do w/that 'lovely' Beach Boys song. Also heard lots of rhymes.......one of the most popular having to do w/riding on a Honda. :confused3
I do use another name from time to time just for fun....Ronni. Somehow, it seems more 'fun' than my original name.

I just got Fiona's luggage tags. She's in a room with my mom.

No tags for us. :rotfl:

I'm trying to watch the Magic go through the canal but I missed all of the locks today so far! Maybe I can catch the next one!!!!

It's funny, in May when it went through the canal I thought it was SOOOO long until it came back to PC...now it's here and soon we all go! I can't wait!!!!

I can relate. I have ALWAYS gotten .... Me-shell, my bell. I HATE, HATE, HATE that song. Go figure.

no full length formal for me....black velvet pants and a nice tunic instead.

IF I go to formal night, I will just be in a cute skirt and shirt. I'm just not the formal type. Three kids did that to me.

I hate that song too! My much older cousins used to sing it to me all the time. They were big Beatles fans.

I'm wearing a long dress too.

I spent most of my day surfing the net looking for a beach cover-up. Thanks Ladies for all the great suggestions, now if I could just figure out what the heck I want, I'd be in business!

No formal lenght for me, just a black dress! I will change AS SOON as dinner is OVEr, I hate being dressed up, I am most comofortable in my scrubs :lmao:

I checked my ressie on Disneycruise.com, it looks different, my status says booked, there was never a status before so I am assuming I am NOT getting an upgrade which is fine with me, I am so happy to be going on the is cruise I dont care when I sleep!

A lot of people have been asking for pics, I got a new camera that I LOVE but I am having trouble uploading, as soon as kids go back to school I plan to figure out how to do it! I will post pics them!

I am filling out our Medical information forms to fax over to DCL. Question: Do we have to fill one of these out for each person, even if there is no medical condition? If so, then do we have to have our Dr.'s sign the form and state that there is no medical condition? I just want to make sure we are doing this right :confused3

You only fill out this form only if you need special considerations for a medical condition (severe food allergy, need dialysys, etc).

Otherwise, don't worry. :) One less thing to do.

No. For the $$$$$ we're paying, the insurance is *definitely* worth it.

No big deal on that. I am paranoid about the passports, and I checked 900 times before I was even close to comfortable going with only our birth certificates and ID.

I am determined to make sure Jared (my 17 yo ds) doesn't have his 18th at boot. Since he's homeschooled, *I'm* in control of when he graduates. :) I just won't let him graduate until after he's 18. Question - do they need a tourist passport if they are going to travel with family??

I thought they were only going to reimburse just a portion of the vacation charges should something happen....I am looking at insurance on insuremytrip.com i think it is called and they only offer a portion...now the medical, delay etc is what they really give some money but i do not full reimbursement for the tickets..please let me know:surfweb: if the ship is giving more money than the other insurance companies.

I'm not doing a medical form for us. It seems (if I'm reading it right) that it's mainly for situations that they need to be prepared for - oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, limited ability, etc. None of us have a condition that they need to be prepared for, so I wasn't planning to do one.

Anyone have a different take on this??

My dd (3) has a condition called CVS (Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome) and will randomly pick (not really HER choice, though....:sad1: ) days that she wakes up vomiting. It's not contagious and there's nothing special that needs to be done. I AM carrying a doctor's note with me JUST IN CASE someone happens to see her vomiting and thinks that it's a virus. I see no reason to alert the medical crew about that before we go, though.

The amount reimbursed is per person... Are you seeing that number and thinking it is a partial reimbursement because of that? Multiply the number by the number of people covered and see if that matches the total amount you estimate the trip costing.

ETA: Here's my fine print.

Whew. Glad you take that the same way that I do.

Yes, but considering the fact that we have 3 *suites*, that 'portion' would be substantially more than nothing. :) It's definitely worth it to us.

My DSD who is 11 was diagnosed with this last year. We have eliminated gluten and corn syrup from her diet and have not had any problems since.

Really?? My daughter was just diagnosed in June. She's on a medicine, but continues to have episodes. We are still working to figure out her triggers.

Until Jaydin was diagnosed, I had never heard of anyone that had it.

Drea: We are going to get along GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to write a note to the school and let them know about our trip, I will have the kids do what work that is sent!
I just went to the school today to do independent studies for my kids too. They were glad I did it so far in advance. I guess a lot of people do it a couple days before they leave. Hopefully we can do all the homework before we leave.

The artwork is good, imo. http://www.carrieskiddiecloset.com/store/WsDefault.asp?Cat=MommyCards

Post your Girls' Night Out on the message boards....I'll come!
Me too! I'm in. Drea, and I have some fun girls night pics. She would kill me if I posted one of her though.. lol Remember St. Patty's Day.. LMAO.. I still love that pic of you.

That website is so cool!!

Thanks to you all for the well wishes. The fundraiser was a success and we ended up making almost $2500.00

Got my luggage tags for the Disney transfers yesterday :cool1: Very exciting.
I am also "watching" a few dresses on ebay.

Wow, that's great you raised to much!
We got our luggage tags today too! We don't have to put them on until we get to the cruise terminal right? Just making sure I out them on when I am supposed to.

Arin: Congrats on the fundraiser...would love to donate if you are 'taking' any...have a website? This would have been my 3rd Breast Cancer 3 Day walk in October (walk 60 miles in 3 days and raise funds for BC), but I am unable to walk this year due to being pregnant.
Maggie, how far along are you? Just making sure you aren't 24 weeks or later. I saw on the cruise tickets it says pregnant women past this date can't cruise. :sad2: Hopefully you can go :)

Hey Fizzgig -
Are you dressing up or are you just taking the one little number that has his eyes popping out? :rotfl: I don't know if I can still fit in the two fancy blouses and long skirt I wore this Spring. IF they still fit (and fit in my suitcase) I guess I shoulde bring them along. It's not like I have anywhere else to wear them. :rolleyes1

NTHEORY - I turned 18 in Navy boot camp in Orlando, of all places. I highly encourage your son to take at least 1 year of college, junior college, tech school, whatever you can talk him into, before he enlists. My son wishes he had had at least some college credits under his belt before he enlisted, and I'll bet any Marine will tell your son that, too.

As far as the passports, if a military member or government employee is taking a trip on their own personal time, they are just another tourist. Now if it is military or government orders, they will be issued a military passport if necessary. BUT the military passport should not be used for personal travel. In some countries the government ID card is enough; in other places, not having a passport would be a problem.
My son wants to go to Ireland. I have told him for years that I would pay half if he'd pay the other half and get his passport. Maybe one day we will go there together.:confused3
