Thanks for all the compliments!
Melodie, my toes aren't sore, so you're not stepping on them at all!
Lois, she's right-on! I can't even say it took talent to put it together! I personally selected what background "papers" I wanted on each page, but it can be as simple as saying you just want one particular themed template as Melodie mentioned (like travel, baby, celebrations, winter, Christmas, French Country, floral, etc), and the tool the website has you use will automatically select different papers for each page. Then, you can say you have 4 photos you want to put on one page, and they'll give you various layouts to choose from and you personally decide which photos go in each spot.....OR, you can just say you want to have the photos automatically placed in the book (called EasyFill on Snapfish), and in minutes, you have a completed book. You can even choose what color you want the outside cover to be! So it can be a simple project with the automated option, or like for mine, I made a decision on every page, so it took me a couple of hours.
Kodak Gallery also has photo books, and I know even a local camera store here in Columbus, Cord Camera, has an on-line photobook to make. So if you don't like the background papers/themes on one website, try another.
As for prices at Snapfish, the base price for mine that had 20 pages was $30. Then if you have more identical books made, each additional was 25% off. FURTHERMORE, I used MrRebates.com, which gives me 12% back in rebates. So in the end, I got 3 books that averaged $22 a piece. That's a HUGE bargain IMO for such an awesome item!
