** ok now i come to you all with a delema** I called E telling him that WDW (no Dland just the world that I know of so far) Is offering military a free 5day pass with park hopper and water option. AND he can buy the same passes for us for $125 each. Just on tickets alone that is a savings of $521. Plus we have our 3day tix we never used since everyone got sick after our cruise. So thats 8days of parks. From now until June they are running the buy 4day stay get 3 free.. I would have to buy 1 more day to the parks to get the dinning right? well that would still be $1000 less then what we have our cruise booked for June and more days. UGGG whats a girl to do. ANYHOW, so when I called him he said really this is what you are calling me for.. im at the bar and were getting ready to go over to the stadium to see the Longhorns kick some Buckeye booty (sorry kimberly just repeating word for word- well the clean ones LOL. He had the nerve to say this can wait LMAO... ok granted it can but you know us OCVP's we need to know now.....

Before you even gave E's response to the subject of your call, I was thinking "OMG. Are you serious? Do you really think this is the time and place to throw out a big decision like this?!!!! He's probably half way intoxicated and ready to find that old lady who taunted him last night before heading out to the game!!! Testosterone is heavily flowing through those veins!" (Well it's certainly a big one for us OCVP.) So I'm glad we are here for ya.

IMO, I would go the WDW route.

• First, you were all too sick to really enjoy it in October, so I think you were jipped. It was your first time, and you just really didn't get a good experience, and you deserve it.
• Secondly, that deep discount may never be seen again. Okay. It probably WON'T be seen again. I would question, however, if you can use the special military discount on top of the 3/4 deal. Have you checked that? I guess there would be ways around that, though, if you would be restricted.
• Third, if you go for 8 days, you can totally relax and take your time. You can go back and actually enjoy your resort and its amenities!
• Finally, P & J are both still at a great age to experience the magic together and have similiar likes as a family.

Drea: wow 10 days in the parks would be wonderful! we were there for 6 days and we were busy every day! My kids would love to go to the waterparks just once. ( it normally isnt warm enough for us.)
We spent 2 mornings at the hotel pool.

Can you guys? I know airfare is the big expense coming from Cali. Do you have enough vaca to do both? Does adding the park days in the beginning cause the boys to miss school?

The military tix prices are amazing, I would TOTALLY take advantage of that if you can! Like K said, I don't know about adding to the 4/3...I actually doubt you can do that, they don't usually let you combine discounts. And the 4/3 includes tix...it is room and 1 MYW Base tix per person, so you would have even MORE tix. I mean if it is really one or the other, think of these things also:

1. How much better is WDW than DL? Is it worth the airline expense to come all this way if you are NOT cruising? (isn't it funny? I can't wait for when we make our big DL trip....it will be 2011 I guess or later now since we are cruising twice in 2010...I guess the one that's further away is always the one that is more enticing, huh?)

2. You can always bump your deposit and move your cruise date. Or you could switch to a 3 or 4 night, although pricewise those aren
't the best bang for your buck. It is a DCl cruise though, so if you just HAD to get your fix..you coud still on a 3 or 4.

3. Are the MIL tix no expiration? Could you get them now and use them later....or do they have limitations to when you can use them (probably).

4. You can get DDP on any package...so if you bundle your MIL tix into a PKG I believe (somene correct me if I'm wrong) then you can add DDP. So adding room(s) should do it.

I guess if it were me, I would just bump the cruise and do the parks. We're not cruising this year but since they came out with the deals we're going for a week or so...probably in March (the ticker's not right...we keep changing the dates since I can't decide...

That's a tough decision girl. Good luck with that!

So recently my 10th high school reunion was held. I had no interest in going but I actuallly ended up working that night. So since then, I've been getting so many friend invitations on my Facebook from people from high school. It's kind of interesting and strange because I really didn't like high school and the people there. Now I'm getting friend requests from some people who I wasn't even friends with. I guess I'm still afraid that the people who were nasty to me are still the same. I'm sure some are, but I'm hoping that many have grown up. I guess I'm questioning whether I'm ready to revisit that time of my life. Sigh....

I *totally* think they should offer FL Res discounts to go to DL and CA Res Discounts to go to WDW. To help out us cross country travelers interested in visiting the "other" Disney parks! I know if they did I would probably drop my next cruise to go (or heck I'd try to go this year). We've been wanting to go for YEARS (and I mean YEARS...since Backdraft opened at USH, now I'm afraid it will close before I get there)!

oh so you dont have to get tixs to the park I can just get the rooms and dinning added? (really should venture to the WDW thread I know I just love you all and trust ya!)

OK, I have never done this (since we only use FL Res codes and buy room only and Play 4 tix) but I think this is how it works:

You can ad DDP onto any package. A package by definition is a room reservation with at least one base MYW ticket. So to add the plan you would have to make your "package" be a room reservation and one MYW tix (base is cheapest but you could make it a PH if you wanted). Then you could add the DDP of your choice for it's additional cost. THEN use the balance of the military tix or your old tix to add to the one tix you already have . Does that make sense?

Hope that helps you a bit. Don't forget about the kids sail free on 3 night cruises. That goes well into JUne, right? You could pop a 3 nighter on and do a Land/Sea. If I were already shelling out for the airfare I would do it!

(I saw it on the TV in the breakroom at work when I went to lunch) I paid special attention b/c some JERK STOLE MY CREAM CHEESE I keep in the work fridge (actually they didn't steal it they went in and ATE the whole tub...it was 3/4 FULL and then out the empty container back in my bag) and I taped the empty tub up on the TV with a note telling the cream cheese thief I hoped it was good and it would have been nice if they had left me just a smudge to scrape over the one bagel I had left (INTERESTINGLY, they did not take the BAGEL. Just the CREAM CHEESE. And my knife. )

Anyway, that is when I noticed the game. Sigh.

OMG...I HATE it when jerks do that with people's food. The fact that they ate the whole thing and put it back is MOST annoying! I don't blame you for that response! UNbelievable

As for the Fiesta Bowl, I think it was over around 11:45 pm EST. I didn't go to bed until 2:30ish eek: and I'm feeling it now!) though.

My dad went to have a procedure done at the hospital the week of Thanksgiving and ended up in the hospital for a week at Thanksgiving and ended up leaving with a pacemaker. Then the world of retail took me over until this past weekend. Finally things have slowed down some

Kimberly I love the scrapbook you are so talented! We made the buckeyes and they were a huge hit I had to photocopy the recipe card for a few of my friends and some family as well.

Drea I think I would go the WDW route. 10 days would be a nice amount of time there to allow you to take it all in slowly without having to go commando IYKWIM.

Jen little Sarah has grown up so much. Love the holiday photos.

I have lots of friends full of excitement for this coming weekend. There are many Steelers and Eagles friends in my life! Personally, I have no loyalties to any NFL team....I'm more of a college FB fan. I still enjoy the sport though, so I will sit down and watch an NFL game anytime. So I'll cheer for ya!

Oh my goodness, girl! Talk about stress on everyone! How is your dad adjusting now? I don't know of anyone who's gone through this, so I'm completely unfamiliar with understanding if they really immediately feel better, or if the patient has to slowly adapt.

I appreciate the compliment on the book, but I can't take too much credit. It was a photobook I put together on Snapfish.com. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful memory for us!

I'm excited that someone made the buckeyes and even more excited that you've passed the recipe on to your friends! Everyone should have a buckeye (candy) at some point in their life!
