Okay...listen to me sound like I already have this in the bag!

So for you seasoned TA travelers, going WB, we loose 6 hours, right? Was the time adjustment difficult? I wouldn't think so since you're already off kilter before starting the cruise....and you have LOTS of nap time available to you! What about airfare? It looks like from Columbus Disney's fare would be $917, which sounds reasonable. Shoot...it is like $270 these days to fly roundtrip to/from Orlando. I'm thinking I should just go ahead and secure that now and if I learn of a fare that could be more economical, I could always drop it. Agreed?

Sounds like your coming Am I right??:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I am trying to figure out airfare right now I have it booked with my cruise but I can cancel it 90 days out I already know I will be canceling the MCO-PHL leg I know I can find it cheaper than Disney and also get a non stop

Maureen

Well, I booked my family on the WB Trans and my parents booked the EB Trans...
I had Disney check airfare and for the EB it is $600 a person and the WB is 1066 per person. Does anyone know what the difference is? Why is mine so much higher?
I can not get off for the EB or I would switch it. I do not think I can swing an additional 4K in airfare.

Shirley

I think its cuz the West is in Sept. more travel happens in the summer months June, July Aug, Sept... or at least thats my thinking LOL

Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! I HATE, HATE, HATE, when DH changes "our" minds..

DH decided "we" want to do the 12/18/2010 11 night Southern Caribbean cruise for Christmas :santa: instead of the WB TA :sad2:

To ALL you going.. I hope you ALL have a wonderful safe fun cruise and maybe we will meet up on another one instead..

oh sorry Stac... but I have to say that one sounds great also.

WOW, how awesome that SO many of you will be cruising again, and some of you even together, SO MUCH FUN!!!

I am glad you were are able to get what you wanted! If I could I would book at TA cruise, but April and Sept not possible with kids, and since I LOVED the sea days that would be awesome, OHHHHH I have an idea, I can leave Steve and the kids home and room with MagicMe or Kimberly :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

oh I can leave E with the boys... they still need tons of bonding time to catch up on lol

Hey guys Joe and I have a Cat 3 and the one we have has the murphy bed in the living room not the b/r also has a sofa bed he would think we went back 10 years living with 3 women again!!!!

Maureen

ohhhh even better... how bout a 4th (you can fit 5 in a cat 3 right? lol)

OK when do you guys think I should break the news to Joe we might have company for 15 days!!!

Maureen

the sooner the better LOL... make sure you let him know you have a 4th to share the room with LOL Ill bring extra umbrellas for our drinks LOL

:lmao: :lmao:
Common girlfriend!

Maureen, just show Joe this: princess: princess: :groom: princess: princess:

See...all is good! We promise to talk sports with him!

Mayyyyybeeeeeee :) I need that official quote to come back first! I'm resisting the subscription to the WB TA Meets thread....not that I haven't looked a lot!

I think you need to go regardless of what the quote is! :thumbsup2

Keep us posted!!!

DH and I are definitely considering the TA WB - have been peeking off and on at the rates and thread - just have some big expenses coming up so just can't swing that deposit quite yet - looks like there are quite a few rooms left so hopefully when/if we book we will get a good room. I would really like to have a balcony if I am going to be on the ship that long - just thinking of sitting on the balcony doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING productive is enough to make me want to go!

LOL I can't be reading this as I was thinking the same thing. I can book it and always cancel. I put in a request for a single to see what comes up. I played on the DCL website all night long. The WB seems like such a steal even the airfare seemed like an incredible deal.

Sounds perfectly logical to me! Plus with the 1/2 off deposit - what a deal (can you tell I am terrible to take shopping "but its on sale, look how much you are saving)

No kidding! PLUS....when I rebooked on-board, I rebooked for 2 (with a TBD name). So I already paid a $250 deposit!

Kimblerly - I can tell you that I booked a single CAT11 and the price was a little over $1700 with a $300 deposit. Now I have until MAY2010 to pay off the balance!!!!

We're booked!

We're on the July 18, 2010 Northern European. Cat 11. We got the 10% + $200 OBC + 1/2 off the deposit for booking while onboard, AND we got an extra $300 OBC from Dreams.

This is still going to be an expensive vacation!

Congrats, Danielle!!! That will be awesome! Honestly Stacy, I think a Christmas cruise is heavenly as well. I've always wanted to travel over Christmas to some wonderful place!

Cool! That's exactly what I had anticipated. I'm thinking about a GTY Cat 10 in hopes of some pixie dust to receive a porthole, and I'm hopeful for a quote of $1770. Pricing on-line, I think Cat 10 to Cat 11 difference was something like $300.

So who is going to give us the Pic of the Day Theme today?

Well, off to work I go. I have a busy one ahead. TTYL!

I thought that during the course of the cruise, you gain the 6 hours?

I sooo want to do the WB TA but I guess I've been overruled by DW who is just a bit afraid of being in the middle of the ocean with no quick escape to shore. And although I LOVE the thought of all those relaxing sea days she is not convinced that this is a good thing.

So we're keeping 9/12/09 7-night to Tortola and we just nabbed a SPH room for the 10/30/10. It will include Halloween and my birthday and went for just over $2600 for the three of us so it was a good deal.

Congrats to all of you doing the longer, more exciting cruises!!!

How about favorite towel animal - out of all my cruises this is my absolute favorite:

Actually you lose 6 hours going EASTbound....(I think!!) and you GAIN the 6 hours coming back on the Westbound. So heading East last year, yes it was kind of rough, actually because we would lose an hour each night for a few nights in a row..........but unless my memory and thinking is totally wonky....I am pretty sure we will get EXTRA hours coming back.....which will be like 6 extra hours of vacation!

We'll be on the 10/30/10 cruise with you guys. DH wasn't going to pull Elliott out of school until he saw the difference in the prices so we figured 'why not have halloween with the mouse?".

DUH Kimberly! You're both right. You GAIN. I don't know why I had a hard time grasping the concept coming over the ocean. If I leave Columbus at 8:00 am, I would land in Chicago at 8:00 am, too after an hour's flight.

GEEZ!!! Can you tell the getting no sleep is back??

Thanks guys!!
