"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Chapter 4!

Busy weekend. Got our FE finished. Got our Mickey head shirts done for the whole family. Got most of our FE gifts done.

Today we got our docs!!!!!!!!!

If I learn how to post pics I will. If not, you all get to be surprised at my talent when we get on board. We will probably wear our shirts when boarding.

Time to relax and think about packing. I will do this with a glass of Pearl pomegranate flavored vodka. Fatcat, I think you would like this. It is smooooth.

I also think I am going to take my laptop on our cruise and the 24th so I will try to send out updates on all the improvements on the Magic. I just hope they are still not working when we get on.

Thanks for the info on the CB! That may change things for us since we have 10AM ressies for stingrays on CC the 1st day. If we get/keep our requested rotation of 5:45, that means we'd have CB that AM......cutting it pretty close.

My you are a chatty bunch! I'm gone for 5 days and already over 20 pages!!!

Yeah, you leave right after us. It takes us 1 1/2 - 2 hours tops to get there, and that's only beacuse we stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast!!!

We still leave right around 6:45 - stop for breakfast at Einsteins and then we're lined up to be one of the first in the gate...DH always insists...

So, I have been over on the CBR Thread a lot today, reading about the resort and there was some talk of the infamous "Love Bugs" that are all over WDW right now. I had in my head these cute little lady bug looking bugs flying around arm-and-arm.................. ...............and then someone posted this pic:

Not so cute after all huh?

Between these and the BED BUGS I have been reading about, this may be an interesting trip.....................

Trust me, they are more of an annoyance than 'scary'...they fly around 'linked up' looking/acting like they've had one to many Patron shots...they don't even know what hit them! Trust me, it's MUCH worse in the spring. We'll ususallly wash our car at a GS before hitting the port - you don't want those little suckers to bake on your car for a week...there is a chemical in them that affects the paint.

I'm doing a quick drive-by, so I can address one of your questions quickly.

I recently gave out these instructions in another thread, so I just went back and copied the content....

MULTI-QUOTE:

• Typically, you select the [ Quote ] button to respond. If you want to reply to several posts, instead of selecting [ Quote ], select the [ "+ ] button that is right beside [ Quote ]. That button will then turn an orange-red.
• If you decide for some reason that you no longer want to reply to an individual post (like maybe you see a question was already answered or you want to respond later with a picture included or something to that nature), then click on the [ "+] again, it will no longer be orange-red.
• Once you're ready to reply to all the posts you want to, then select [Post Reply] that is on the left-hand side of your screen and immediately below the last post on that page.

I really hope they're done working on her when you board as well!!

Hey you all...did you get my post earlier where i was singing about receiving my docs today? Yeah!!!! I got my docs...i will be way at the bottom on the first floor but what the heck, I am going a disney cruise and that is all that matters!

Here is the song I sang earlier:

of you course you have to be familiar with the tune that i am singing to get it...but trust me it is really fun!

This reminds me, was reading a FE thread on the main board and a couple of people mentioned that a lot of non-FE participators put out the FE's. And I'm not talking about Late sign ups or anything, we're talking about NON-DIS'ers!!! And I asked, b/c I thought the FE was DIS-exclusive and I was told not anymore. And one other person posted that they were just putting the treats in the FE's as they came across them, and then did not have enough for all the FE's, even the ones in their meet group, since it turned out there were so many others out there!!! Wouldn't want that to happen to any of us, so I would have to suggest taking the list or treasure map with you!!

Yes, I will be taking my list. I don't have enough for extras and mine have *name* tags on them so that everyone knows which bag is for which family member. This also makes our message boards SO important. If a room number changes, it NEEDS to be on the board so that we can make the change on our FE list.

Oh my I never thought of this. I do have a few extras even after our late additions, but I will make sure to have the list with me.

AND here's our exciting big news today! (not as big or as exciting as the last time I had big exciting news ) I got an email from my aunt earlier and my cousin and her fiance decided on a wedding in St. Thomas. They are going to have us all cruise down on the RCCL's new Oasis in Jan of 2010! (sadly at our expense ). I sure am glad she let us know now, before we went and re-booked on DCL. Now we'll probably just do a 3 or 4 nighter in '09. Sure hope it itsn't too expensive!

The worst I have seen them in like 7 years was in 2006 they were everywhere almost the entire month of September. They weren't bad last year in late September/Early October (I stayed at CBR)

Hey you all...did you get my post earlier where i was singing about receiving my docs today? Yeah!!!! I got my docs...i will be way at the bottom on the first floor but what the heck, I am going a disney cruise and that is all that matters!

haha... you have to upload your pics to somewhere like photobucket.com then it will give you a URL for it. you take the url copy it and paste it after clicking the lil square above the text box that looks like a pic with mountains in it... im sure someone will explain it much better then I LOL SORRY!


Im not sure whats more stressfull now.. getting the last few odds and ends for the cruise or figuring out where to eat while we ate at the WORLD with the dinning plan... I think im driving myself crazy... I keep asking E and I get the whatever... as long as they have steak.... NOT HELPING.....

Weird we didn't print out those actual forms, but once we were done with them we printed off the cruise. Do you have the option now to click on "Fill Out Form" button next to DCL Cruise contract? Once you do that I believe you click continue to agree to it and then you can print. Also maybe try clearing all your cookies on your computer maybe that is causing the problem. Hopefully your docs arrive tomorrow I know mine took longer they left Orlando on 8/29 and I did not get them until Friday the 5th and it was supposed to be 3 day.

Yes, I see the button that says "fill out form" It's light in color and it won't let me click on it. I will have to see about cookies and maybe that's the problem? Thanks Oh and I did get my cruise docs today! Yeah!! I didn't get a paper on the dining package since I booked that late. I don't need that do I? What does it say.. anything I need to know?

Do you have a Burlington Coat Factory by you? I bought my boys their suits there. They were $35 or $39 each.. I can't remember. If I didn't find them there I would have done Ebay like Drea. I just didn't want to mess with them if they didn't fit.

Boys suits... I got my son a combo set from Kohls. (pants, tie, long sleeve shirt.)--- I got it on clearance for 6.00.
jc penneys has these combo seats.

LOL!! Go to www.photobucket.com and set up an account (it is free to do so). Once you have done that login if you are not already logged in click on the choose files options (I prefer the old updater to the new one) and just find where you have the file saved on your computer click open and then upload. Once your picture is uploaded click on the IMG code and it should say copied come back over here and do a control V to paste it in and then hit submit reply here and your picture will pop up.

We don't have the dining plan. I think we are just going to do RainForest Cafe on Thursday Night and then something quick at WDW. Good luck with finding somewhere to make ressies. Try not to stress about it too much

I have a reservation for the Captin's Grille at the Yacht Club on Wed. Sept. 24th at 5:45 pm. They have steak! I will gladly give it to you. It's for a party of 5. Does that help?

Hurricane Ike is done washing Cuba. He's moving into the southeast Gulf of Mexico today as a Cat 1. By Wednesday he could grown to a Cat. 2. Ike is expected to make landfall overnight Saturday into Sunday in southern Texas.

Focusing on Grandy Cayman (being selfish), they are under a tropical storm watch. Not a big deal. Ike will continue to swirl in the open water, not much to update over the next few days other than speed and strength. Unless Ike changes course.
