We are getting a car from Budget to get to the Port on Sat, we fly in Friday

My original reservation was for an economy car for46.02, this was for pick up at 7Pm fri night at MCO and drop off at the Port on Sat by noon

I just rebooked it same time frame, same pick up and same drop off but I got a Full Size for 36.65,. when you sign up for their program you get a coupon for a 2 car upgrades, plus I have a $25.00 gift certificate from Mycokerewards.com

Not me. I'm at 18 days. Actually, though, in 18 days, I should be very close to PC at this point in time .... or already there. Hoping to see the beach and sand that evening.

I don't know who said it, but I second the motion, if you don't like them, just throw them away and don't tell me.

I'm making sure you see this fine print from the Budget website:
"An automatic $13.99 EZ-Fuel refueling service charge will be applied to all rentals under 75 miles. Renters that return the car with a full tank of gas and provide a receipt showing the purchase of gasoline will have the charge reversed when completing their rental. "

This is a better price than my Thrifty Wild Card rental; thank you!

Yeah, you leave right after us. It takes us 1 1/2 - 2 hours tops to get there, and that's only beacuse we stop at Cracker Barrel for breakfast!!!

Uh oh….I’m going to get slapped for this one. My plan was to use UPS ground. **duck** We can use our corporate discount for personal use as long as you have it shipped from work. I tell ya what…when I go down there, I’ll have them quote me USPS and UPS and get back with you with the results.

No slapping, I promise! (Dare I say sometimes I have to use brown too. I try not to, but some places just will not offer a choice. DCL for one. What can ya do? ) And heck, with insurance and stuff it's always better to price out all the options. I have used Fed Ex before too because we used to sell concert tickets on ebay and USPS will not insure tickets. We almost lost a lot of $$ on a set of "lost" tickets (luckily we were going to the show too, so we gave the buyers our pair and claimed the lost tickets at will call for ourselves, but it meant WE had to sit in worse seats. Good deal for them!), and so it was Fed Ex only after that.

I did count my FE gifts today and I have one extra (above the extras that I bought just to have extras). Cool. So if I find one of those extra FE's and its one of "us" you might get a surprise!!!!


AND here's our exciting big news today! (not as big or as exciting as the last time I had big exciting news ) I got an email from my aunt earlier and my cousin and her fiance decided on a wedding in St. Thomas. They are going to have us all cruise down on the RCCL's new Oasis in Jan of 2010! (sadly at our expense ). I sure am glad she let us know now, before we went and re-booked on DCL. Now we'll probably just do a 3 or 4 nighter in '09. Sure hope it itsn't too expensive!

So, I have been over on the CBR Thread a lot today, reading about the resort and there was some talk of the infamous "Love Bugs" that are all over WDW right now. I had in my head these cute little lady bug looking bugs flying around arm-and-arm.................. ...............and then someone posted this pic:

Not so cute after all huh?

Between these and the BED BUGS I have been reading about, this may be an interesting trip.....................

So, I have been over on the CBR Thread a lot today, reading about the resort and there was some talk of the infamous "Love Bugs" that are all over WDW right now. I had in my head these cute little lady bug looking bugs flying around arm-and-arm.................. ...............and then someone posted this pic:

Between these and the BED BUGS I have been reading about, this may be an interesting trip.....................

Wow...that's a lot of Love Bugs! I remember when I was working at WDW, the Love Bugs would fly around in pairs and almost look like a bee. Guests would freak out thinking that there was a bee around and it would only be a Love Bug. Granted, if I hadn't know they were just Love Bugs, I would have been freaking out too!

Guess what I got at Target today? The New Kids on the Block Greatest Hits CD!!!!! It was only $9.99!!!!!! Yay!!!! I'm going to listen to it on the drive home from my DBF's house tonight (he lives an hour away from me). Not excited to leave him, but I am excited to listen to the CD!

I'm counting and re-counting my FE gifts...I'm starting to freak out about it!!!! I'm hoping I have enough stuff! ACK! My FE gift, one per cabin won't possibly be done before I leave so I'm going to give out IOUs. Sigh...didn't want to do that, but I'm going to have to.

Since I have off on Mondays, only 9 more days of work until we leave!!!!!

Shipping Boxes...reminds me....
Keep in mind that it’s stated that boxes should arrive no more than 2 weeks before sailing. Yours, Drea, has the furthest to go, so it does need some good commute time, assuming you’re going with ground transportation. I have put on my calendar to mail ours on Thursday, and then I’m mailing another box with our pirate hats in it to my WDW resort on Friday as well. (Darn it...I still haven't put that maribu on my hat!)

OH GEEZ I totally read this wrong.. thought they had to be there before 2 weeks AHHH ok.. so hmm ddnt end up mailing it. cuz I went on USPS and got a quote and it was like $45... priority AHHHH I could get a nother suitcase or 2 for that amount. might be doing the hunky man in brown .. going to get a quote from them now

I seriously have to get up off these boards and do some work around here!!!

thats no fun LOL I figure im working 40hrs a day but only really doing like 20hrs of work here LMAO

Awesome! If you book the three-day Wonder that will be on CC on 10/31, we'll be on it.....one of our friends is getting married on CC in 2009! I'm very excited. Someone at work was like "and they are making you PAY for your CABIN????" I was like "please, it's Disney! I'd be on one anyway"

Crews will fly into Ike this afternoon, he's a cat 2 but is expect to grow to a cat 3. Sorry Texas.

The Cayman Sister are under a tropical storm warning. Which means conditions are right for winds under 74 and high surf. 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected to fall. I've been to the Caymans right after some Hurricane, can't remember the name, they fair pretty well. It's only sand and palm trees!

The next udate comes at 5pm... looking into the crystal ball... Ike should stay a cat 2 until tomorrow sometime. He will build more power over the open, warm waters of the Gulf.

The good news... still NOTHING in the open Atlantic!

I've been up since 10pm last night! Need some sleep. Look for your morning report around 5:00 am.

I've been sending DM and DGM links to different things to get them even more excited. Like over the weekend, I sent them YouTube videos and slide shows of DCL food. When I talked to DM today, she said she watched the YouTube video then got caught in that web of DCL videos. She said she ended up watching videos for 3 hours!

Today, I sent them a link to that thread as well as the webcam! I pointed out where our room is, too from one of the still pics. I need more material for other days, so if anyone has ideas, please share!
