Also I have to share with you another sad loss that happened.... I was unwrapping our xmas ornaments from the cruise and WDW and found them BROKEN... guess they wrapped them too tight

poor mickey was decapatated and dislocated from the ornament.

nothing a lil hot glue wont fix!

Poor, poor decapitated Mickey. My daughter *shrieked* when she saw it... she was really freaked out. <trying not to giggle>

Our head was broken off when we got home, too. I glued him back together and we turned it into a magnet for our magnetic-walled stairwell of Disney memories!

Awww! That's too bad! All of our ornaments made it home safe and sound especially the *really* special ones. Although I admit when I got out the ones we bought onboard out I was soooo dissapointed because I thought I had bought the one that was the small ship. However I guess I did not. What a bummer. I have the same one as you guys and one of the balls. They're nice and all, I just for some reason thought we had the ship one. I don't know why I didn't get it...it must have been really expensive. (It would have had to have been stupid expensive for me not to get it.... )

We have our tree, and the lights and garland are on but no ornaments yet. We'll work on it this week. We had a lot of work to do, we ended up with a monster Clark Griswold tree (Little full...lotsa sap ) Its a 10-footer and plenty fat. We had to take out the dining room table and stuff it in there, which was not really an easy task since we only have about 11 foot ceilings in that room (we have vaulted ceilings but that area is actually the shortest they are in the house except for the hallway). So we had to take down the chandelier. Now its really dark in there. I guess I could have done the Clark Griswold lighting on it too. but....

We have lots, lots lots of shopping still left. Mostly for Sarah. I already got one of my presents, a new cell phone. (Remember when I went dumpster diving after the old one...covering myself in swill and stink to save it!) After all that the screen was busted and it slowly declined as time went on. At the end it was going off randomly playing my text msg ringtone every 5 minutes or so (no I didn't have that many texts, lol..I checked online to see!)
I got a touch screen phone (LG Voyager) Also we are finally car shopping. We are looking for something older and cheap. (Older for us would be like 2002 and up). We have had new cars forever and finally decided to just buy a used car cash for the commuting and instead save the monthly payments for something good, like another cruise!

Hi all - well just got back from my cruise with Dsis and I just have to tell you - I think this group has forever spoiled my view of what a FE exchange should be!!! This trip was nothing like our DD when it came to the board and FE/Secret Mickey - you guys were so awesome

Oh and I just have to say you all have spoiled me too.. my new cruise meets thread is so quiet.... there are only 9pages... and some of these peeps have been on for a yr now.. we are 6months 11days out and they are only at 9pages... SERIOUSLY.... Im gonna miss cruising without seeing yall round the ship.. its going to be like missing your best friends

Yes...my thread....well its different. They talk a lot but it is mostly "hello", "good morning", "good afternoon", "good evening"...etc. All small talk. Plus many, many of the cruisers are from the meet of the cruise they all went on this year so I am somewhat of an outsider to all their inside jokes. (They don't try to make me feel that way, they are so nice but I just can't help it.) They just aren't US, know what I mean?

We had a busy weekend, Friday night Savannah performed at Kid City at Lowry Park Zoo, where they are preparing for demolition to construct a new children's Cancer Center. There was a ribbon-tying ceremony (akin to ribbon-cutting but since they are knocking the place down *tying* the ribbon instead)....She got to go onstage with Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio (the lady directly above the red haired girl in green next to Savannah in the pics). Exciting. She was the only girl from company..plucked from the crowd. They were all like , "Why is Savannah up there?!?!?", lol! On Saturday she was in the Santa Fest parade. I have to laugh, since when did parades turn into beads-and-candy free for alls? I can't tell you how many times I was beaned with some beads. I can see at Mardi Gras, or our Gasparilla here in Tampa (which is all about the beads), but I guess I didn't realize regular everyday parades had turned into that. It wasn't very exciting either. Suppose Ive been spoiled by the ones at WDW, huh... Here's some pics:

So I heard through the grapevine... ok just read some threads LOL that the offer that DCL is doing is rumor to be Kids free... on a 3day cruise. If we lived there I would so take them up on a deal like that. But they are way to far for us to just do 3days. Guess they are trying to get newbies hooked. Its a nice offer but airfare would be more then the cruise LOL. Guess you could always do some days at the world after... hmmmm LOL Naw ill keep my 7days, 3 would be like a tease! :::: guess we shall wait and see if that rumor is true or not::::

Doesn't help us. Something about that whole needing a Cat. 4 thing negates any potential savings. When I read the rumor yesterday I ran over and priced out some stuff (before knowing it was only 3 night cruises) best we could scrounge was $2900 in January on a 4 night. Most sailings already had Cat 4's gone. Oh well. Today I checked the 3 nights but again cheapest is in January...$1900. Thats a pretty decent deal, I thought...but... like you said, no way could we go back to a 3 night now. Some of them go up really high. April it would be $3300...heh...thats what we paid for the Double Dip Delight (before adding the extra room)...for a 3 night? LetmethinkaboutthatNO.

Hey Drea sorry your peeps on your thread didn't notice you!! Shall I drop by and knock some sense into them?

I'll post my tree pics....when I get it done. And I swear if the cats don't stop constantly destroying the little bit of progress I've made....grrr...

Oh my gosh I MISS chatting with you guys! I MUST make the time to come here. I don't even make time to keep up with the WB TA cruise group. I'm just not finding a lot of interest there (yet, hopefully), and I've been reading some drama that just totally turns me off! You guys and gals ARE the absolute best!!!

Like Denise, I found Facebook and have been quite hooked there. So a lot of my free time has been on there lately. Then after Thanksgiving, I was HORRIBLY sick. Grandma and I both got the flu bug from my mom. We were throwing up and letting out the other end too. I was down for 2 days and pretty miserable for another 3.

As for Christmas shopping, I'm done with all but finding the perfect main gift for one of my nieces. Today I got one of my favorite gifts to give in the mail. I absolutely will be posting pictures of it here. It's related to our cruise!

....Sarah cut her first tooth, at least now I know the buckets of drool haven't all been for naught!

Wow! It's been so fun following Sarah from beanhood through her gummy days! Time sure does fly though!

Well, I am feeling ALOT better for the last couple of days.....I also got another ultrasound on monday. The baby looks great and has grown a lot. Still don't know the gender yet, which really really bothers me. I'm a planner............remember???

Yikes! I didn't purchase these ornaments, but I did buy a few fragile things. I was SO glad I had packed bubble wrap! That's a terrible shame though for all three of you. Sorry!!

I completely agree! You've all spoiled me! Not that I don't have some great friends on my next cruise, but it's a shame it just can never be the "same". The girl's cruise would be awesome though!! Maybe a nice 4 day reunion should be planned after this economy shapes up!! I don't think we would get any sleep!

Joe and I were actually giving some serious thought to switching to the EB TA but the monies for that cruise was going to be due around the same time as Michelle's wedding so we have decided to stay with WB TA we priced the EB when we were on the Wonder the end of Nov and the pricing was almost the same in the same Cat. He really wanted to switch but all I kept thinking was but what about all my DD friends that are on the WB!!! I don't think we are going to do our Sept 09 cruise we really want to go to Alaska and Carnival is tempting us with a very good price since we are past quests (sailed them long before we found Disney) the price for the Alaska cruise actually is less than our Sept DCL cruise and we would have a balcony room the only thing that is expensive is the airfare O decisions decisions!!!
