"Double Dip Delight" 09.27.2008 - Chapter 4!

I'm finishing up last minute work stuff so I can take tomorrow off and go through the bags again to make sure everything is packed and ready to go. DH finally decided to put stuff in his suitcase last night so at least we are making progress.....except that the muchkin has now decided that he doesn't want to fly. Until 2 days ago he couldn't wait to be on the airplane and didn't want to be on the ship...now its the other way around. I just keep thinking "everything will be ok...he'll do fine...he's flown before....but he was only 18months then....maybe he won't like it this time......". yep..if you see two adults near tears and a ticked off 4 year old that is probably us and the flight was not a good one.

No chance of catching up at this point, hope I haven't missed anything.

As Ron said we have been moved to 6018. Hopefully that will change again, and they move us on up to the East side to a deee-luxe apartment in the sky... If not, I guess it's better than being in the "unacceptable" room.

Seems like there are only a few of us stragglers left!
I have about 5 suitcases packed, and about 1/5 of the magnets printed...and I'm probably only that far along thanks to our router blowing earlier this week.
And the good news is I'm officially done with work for 11 or 12 days!

Benadryl. Our pedi even TOLD us to make sure to take some JIC. It'd sure be easier if they just made childrens' chewable Xanax.

Seriously though, have you set up an activities bag for him? I always get DD new coloring/work books, and stickers and other NEW stuff (cheap!) and pack it in her airplane back pack. That way she is looking forward to the surprise of what is in her back pack and not thinking about the plane...

it is hilarious that you guys are communication your packing status via the board - its as bad as DH and I texting each other because one is upstairs and one is down.

I am 99% packed. I can not pack Dh dress shoes or pants cause well he is wearing the pair that matchs his jacket at work right now, such a man for ya. I don't think any of his patients really want to see his underwear and black socks.

I just checked and out cabin has not moved yet. Of course I was hoping for a upgrade but no luck. Oh well everything else will work out its vacation

Now if I can keep my kids from hurting each other. DD just slammed the door on DS arm ...uuuugggg how many hours until I can check them into kids club and get a cocktail

Yep I have a couple of things that are brand new and a couple of things he hasn't played with in a while and I"m letting him chose a couple of things as well. We are going to give him some benadryl especially after the recent ear infection (or heck might just go straight to the tylenol with codeine....since I don't want his ear to hurt at all).

Ok guys...anyone with a deck 3 and 4 of the treasure map? was just going to print mine and realized I have all decks but those. Anyway. I have one very last thing to do here at the office then I"m out of here to finish my packing.

We're mostly packed. We have carry-on stuff to deal with. All forms and papers are in the right bag, stuff for our long car trip is in a big container .... not sure if that's going to fit in the car, but .... and DH is headed home with pizza.


DS is calling our supper tonight "the Last Supper" because it's the last one we eat at home until after vacation. LOL! I told him that I didn't think that Jesus ate pizza at the last supper .....

No disasters yet, and we've been here over 24 hours. Alex is doing well, no fever since Tuesday AM, and I think he was already starting to kick his very rare and extremely resistant to antibiotics infection before he started taking the antibiotics.

We're leaving from here around 9:00 AM on Saturday. Looking forward to seeing everyone then.

Reese has come down with some stomach bug...has had baaaad stomach cramps the past 2 nights/days and not a pleasant time in the bathroom if you catch my drift! However I'm fine & hubby is fine, so I'm wondering if it's something he ate? Who knows. Today is better, so I think we're on the upswing and getting rid of whatever is upsetting his little body! AHHHH! Stay healthy people!!!!

Of course I am not even close to being a meteorologist. I got the info from the national hurricane center if anyone wants to post the pics.

Hey everyone, I've enjoyed lurking over the past month(s). You seem like a fun group. I'm Jen's (nenner1) husband Ron.

Welcome Ron! Hope you are a Bucs Fan too....my DH can't wait to meet up with someone on Sunday who plans on watching the game...

If I remember correctly from our other two cruises, they started calling the first two groups to board at around 11:30. Although I think Disney states it is 12:00. Our last cruise was last Sept. so things may be different now.

I concur! The last few DC we've been on they've also starting calling groups at 11:30...hope this doesn't change! We'll be leaving bright and early with the rest of the 'local' folks...Mickey here we come!

I think I am officially in panic mode. I do this every year. I convince myself that there is not nearly enough time to do everything, and then at 8pm the night before we leave I sit and twiddle my thumbs because I have nothing to do.
