Hey folks!!

Well I'm still working through the list of lanyards...I'm up to the J's and K's in the alphabet (by screen name). I have a screen-name on my list that is not a recognized DIS name apparently. Does anyone know who "KCJE4" is? I have them listed as a party of four on deck 2 but I can't PM them to confirm because that isn't their DIS name....

I wonder if perhaps that is their screenname on the other Double Dip website? Do any of you who are frequent users of that site recognize that handle? And you could you pass along a note to have them email me at elibey@rochester.rr.com just to confirm I have all their info right?

OOOOOR....perhaps does that name look close to someone else who is on here and it's spelled wrong on my list or something?

Very strange.....I know Drea had reached out recently saying she couldn't find them either. I'm certain that's at least close to their screen name though as each letter represents the first letter of each family member and the "4" would be how many people in their family. I don't have a personal email addy in my database nor can I find any emails coming into them from the Hotmail acct, therefore, they would have had to have put their info on our thread. If they're on your list, I would think at one point Hadley would have heard from them.

What's even stranger is that I've even done various Google searches to find a posting in our first or second thread, but I'm coming up with nothing. I did find that on an archived roll call list I had dated January 6 that they were a new add between then and the last time I had emailed the roll call list, which was November 5, 2007. So let me do some more digging on our thread for sometime around that date to see if they posted. Maybe I'm the guilty one for having it mis-typed in the roll call list.

Ok folks.....I have now sent out ALL of the PM's to every DIS name on my list.

If you have already responded....THANK YOU!

If you have not responded, please do so before July 11th. That is the day I will start officially printing the name badges and putting them in holders. Once badges are printed and packed it will (for hte most part) be too late to change and reprint them...so be sure to check your PM and make sure your info is correct.

If you did NOT receive a PM from me about lanyards that means you were not on my lanyard list---if you feel that is an error then please PM me immediately and I'll look into it.

TDVER was also down as a new addition in the same January 6 Roll Call List as KCJE4 was. All I can find on TDVER is that as of May 27, Heather had them down for the scavenger hunt. Both of them have been on the Fish Extender list as well.

I wonder if each of their IDs got tagged for suspension as so many others on the DISboard have been due to alleged participation on other websites. If that's the case, perhaps when that happens, all their historical postings disappear?? Hopefully they're still lurking and will see your request to email you directly (although their IP address may be restricted...I have NO idea). I looked on our website to see if there were any access IDs out there like theirs, but I didn't see any.


On another note...I thought I would take you guys on a trip down memory lane as I just did trying to find these guys.

Remember when....

• Lady Shiva was still alive and kicking
• Lisa (Scoutsmom) was bridesmaid shopping for her brother's wedding that a week before our cruise (I think), which furthermore was a date her soon-to-be DSIL volunteered to scheduled around her future DSIL and DMIL's cruise!
• (I miss catecrew and MAGICFOR2)
• We had a lesson on buckeyes...both the nut itself and the candy version
• Drea was tucking us in our comfy chairs while reading 'Twas the Night before Thanksgiving.
• Geocaching was talked about for some family entertainment. (BTW, I put up on Post #6 the links to Erica's (zweihund) posts giving info on this.) I've purchased a GPS since that posting, too...so I just might do a little scavenger hunting of my own on Castaway Cay.

Ahh....Good times and even better ones ahead!

LadyShiva... Yeah yup yup... That account still exists here and elsewhere, I just no longer act so mooooorbid. Talk about an EMO name...

Just want to point out that family members of banned people were also banned, whether or not they participated in that mess. Same IP, same sentence from DISBoards. Some people's posts were wiped out when they got banned, some people's were kept. JennyMominRI, for example... her posts were kept.

I'm not finding either of those usernames on DDD. I don't see those names on Cruise Critic, either.

OK...I'm guilty...it was me who brought up the edible undies. Apparently, I don't have that mental filter that others on here might have & I just laid it all out there! No, I am NOT hauling 30 packages of edible undies on board. I'm sure the luggage check would be interesting with THAT.

Cyndifan: Loved your Gotcha Day story. I have been reading lots of adoption blogs lately & your story was so beautiful! What a blessing...

Funny about the mental filter - apparently my DH doesn't have that one either!! He was REALLY bugging me to post about the edibles.

We didn't do a blog per se (did a Yahoo group which has since been decommissioned), but are happy to share stories!

Great story. Our gotcha days for our two are just nine days apart. Mad was 1/19/06, Alex 1/28/08.

Love the pics - what precious faces! Its neat their Gotchas are so close together. Emmie's gotcha is the day after Father's day (well, at least it was the day after in 2004). Makes it easier to remember.

I e-mailed with a concern that it (the web site) still list Costa Maya on the web page and you can still book our cruise with no information about the change. Just does not live up to what I would expect of Disney. I would be very upset if I booked this cruise now expecting Costa Maya only to find out it was changed days or weeks before I booked.
Hopefully they will update the web site so that it correctly reflects what is being offered.

I agree, Lois. I would be to book thinking CM was on the itinerary only to find that wasn't the case. DCL needs to get their act together. Its not like the change was made yesterday or anything.

OK...I have just one more confusing thing on the lanyards list. On the list is a screen-name for "Tumbleweeds." However, there is no DIS name like that. There IS, however, a "Tumbleweed"----without the "S"....so I assumed that must be it and I sent my PM. I got a very polite response from her (her name was Kitty)...but she indicated that she was not going on this trip...which means I had the wrong DIS name. There is no Tubmbleweeds like I said....but there is a Tumbleweed (which is apparently wrong), a tumbleweedetc, a tumbleweed74, and a tumbleweed_dog........

....so since you were all so good at tracking down my other mystery cruisers...anybody have any idea about this one?

Being Kimberly isn't too glamorous, but I'm glad you have a better memory than me!! When I read that they were with videoman, I thought "oh my gosh...NOW I remember!".

As for the DiCAPac, I put a tissue all the way up by the "ziplock", and it was dry dry dry. I have no worries.

As for the Thanksgiving poem, I was watching the dates of posts to find what I was looking for, and remembered it was on 11/22, so it was an easy find.

Seriously- the girl is a menace- a walking vacation catastrophe. Outbreaks of encephalitis, tropical storms, 9-11, bird flu, hurricanes, snow storms, you name it, it's happened. Sometimes I think I should keep her locked up. But then again- maybe we'll get an extended cruise- like the group who ended up 10 or so days on the Magic when they couldn't come back into port a few years ago...

Born2Cruz, great to see you again!

My package from Accessory Geeks arrived today with the DiCAPac underwater bag for my digital camera. I'll test it with tissue inside tomorrow. If those results are comforting, then I'll put the camera in it, try it underwater, see if zooming is awkward, and report back to you guys. Obviously results with the zooming will be much different with the pressure of deeper water than I can test with, but it should give a general idea.

I can't believe everyone is still talking underwear!!!!

Kimberly ~ I read your first sentence I and did a double take. In my twisted mind I thought you wrote you received your underwear bag for your digital camera.
