Guess what I got in the mail today?
Another cruise planning packet......for an EASTERN itenerary.

Check the mailing label... Did it come from your travel agent or from Disney? I've gotten the wrong mailing from a travel agent before. The funny part is that my correct reservation information was on the form letter that came with the packet, but the person putting together the packet had just grabbed the wrong information booklet to send out to me. No biggie!

I got mine (Planning kit) the other day for the 10/4/08 cruise but still have not seen the 9/27/08 one. Who knows what goes on with the number of those they need to send out each week. I figure with 3 sailing each week it is about 3,000 a week. It is easy to see how a mistake could be made.

I checked the web site it still shows Costa Maya and there are now Cat 11, 10, 9, 6, 5. and 4 available. I am thinking that there were a few folks that have backed out due to the port change and a number who transfered due to the upcoming payment deadline. Lois

WOW! That's still shocking to me being it was sold out back in December (maybe January)!

I think the economy had more of an effect than the port change if I was going to guess.

I suppose the price hasn't gone down though! Wishful thinking!

We have a change in people.. So one of our rooms are Open.. That explains A room..

Friends of ours can not come because of a College issue. She was told if she takes the week off she will lose her credits.. soooooo they needed to drop the cruise..

Kids got off to camp beautifully - I wish I could go to camp. It's so beautiful there. My house is SOOOOOOOO quiet.

I'm at 91 days until we leave for WDW - so psyched!!

I am going to try to read back and see what I've missed - are we still Cayman or are we Costa Maya or, perhaps, Disney's decided to just wing it and send us all to Belize or something!

I think the Port change made a small difference but I also think that the fact that final payment is due and that so many are fighting just to get by today also made a difference. I suspect that DCL will fill the rooms before we sail.

That Cat 9 is almost 1,000 more than we paid but we did book on board. That is alot of money!

On another note...I thought I would take you guys on a trip down memory lane as I just did trying to find these guys.

Remember when....

• Lady Shiva was still alive and kicking
• Lisa (Scoutsmom) was bridesmaid shopping for her brother's wedding that a week before our cruise (I think), which furthermore was a date her soon-to-be DSIL volunteered to scheduled around her future DSIL and DMIL's cruise!
• (I miss catecrew and MAGICFOR2)
• We had a lesson on buckeyes...both the nut itself and the candy version
• Drea was tucking us in our comfy chairs while reading 'Twas the Night before Thanksgiving.
• Geocaching was talked about for some family entertainment. (BTW, I put up on Post #6 the links to Erica's (zweihund) posts giving info on this.) I've purchased a GPS since that posting, too...so I just might do a little scavenger hunting of my own on Castaway Cay.

Ahh....Good times and even better ones ahead!

I forgot all about that. I'm so glad we are still on the cruise with all of ya!! I wonder who will have 6080 and will they think we are crazy when we show up for the party?

I am an overpacker by nature, at least for myself. I wish there was a packing for vaction fairy, I would gladly accept her help.

I'm an over packer as well....I'm not looking forward to shelling out $50 for my 2nd checked bag

Oh Denise, Im stressen about packing too. 4 of us and only 4 bags... not gonna work E will pack 2 just for HIM. THis is the man that is only allowed to take 2 bags to Iraq and finds a way to take 4. And he only has like 4 different things he can wear... camis, , pt gear (gym clothes), and civi clothes incase he has to fly home (like he did when his dad died) so Im going to be paying for extra luggage im sure with this man LOL

We were trying to deceice on the TUX issue too. I think we are gonna pass.. it would have been nice to have all my mens in them and me in my gown but then thats a whole nother bag let alone to have to buy the tux. I still may if i find a deal on his off ebay and surprize him. Maybe one that kind of looks like a suit. All he has now is a grey pin strip suit and its nice but also good to have a black one. Desisions Desisions!

I did accomplish something this weekend aside from staying cool in our heat LOL. Booked our post cruise hotel.. at the POP which also crosses off tranportaion to the parks and back to the airport. Also Tonya and I are gong to share a limo from port to hotel so that is a surprize to the boys. Think im going to surprize E to. I told him about the idea of a limo, but think Ill make it seem like no were renting a car instead. So he gets 2surprizes out of this vacation, a massage on castaway cay and the limo.. what do i get .. hm I think an extra rum cake for my efforts and a bottle of rum (yo ho ho LOL)

So if anyone can recamend a limo service Im all ears!

Yep - The Cat 11 is a little over $1K more than I paid when I booked in May07. Not to mention the fuel surcharge that would be added on if you booked now. I know that I let a Cat 11 go about 1-1/2 weeks ago. My youngest was originally supposed to travel with us and I knew since close to a year ago that he may not (since he broke up with his GF and didn't want to go alone) but I held on to the room until recently hoping he might find someone new and want to go along.
