Grand Cayman??? Ugh.

Was not that impressed. Hate Tendering. Also when we went it was like 1.25 US dollars to a GC dollar.

Are we going to GC first or Cozumel first?

I wish it was Key West actually.

If we goto Cozumel first I will sit on board and drink the Platinum Bottle of Patron Tequila I plan on getting in Cozumel.

Grand Cayman is first.

Ok Switch Tequila drinking to Thursday.

Also FYI. Last time in GC you could not buy duty free liquor as the would only sell it if they had it delivered to ship and Disney did not allow that.

In fact we're kind of happy about the change in our itinerary because now at least I can start reading about the excursions and picking what we're doing before teh 29th!!....and i haven't started looking yet but if there's still an excursion where we can see live Sea Turtles then we might be doing that!!! hadley can tell you that I almost ALWAYS do any excursion that involves animals of any kind!!! :lmao:

::yes:: Me too.. I was already reading my passporter for GC excursions.. and I am a HUGE animal lover.. I want do see the Turtles and Butterflys.. Oh and maybe see "hell" :rotfl2:

Who says you can't wear them? Jason and I are going to get sharpies and cross out "Costa Maya" and put in "Grand Cayman!!" I think it'll be funny....or just leave it the way it is.......nobody will even notice I promise!!

You guys crack me up!:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

My family is glad we are going to GC! Another new place.....yeah! The kids didn't like CM the last trip. They were planning on staying on the ship this time.

We had a clerk in a shop ask Jeninpa if she wanted some wacky weed for her 3 year old son.....go figure..

The salt water pool in the shopping square had broken glass in it and a little girl had her foot cut from it.

We went on a horse ride excursion that was the pits! Short ride on a little trail in the woods and back. I've been on horse rides in Cancun and the Dominican Republic that were fantastic....trails, on the beach, and in the water!

The highlight for the kids was their Gram (ME) falling off her horse. Yep!!!! I managed to get my left sneaker tongue caught in the stirrup when I dismounted. There I was .... flat on my back in the dirt and stones with my left leg way up high still in the stirrup while yelling for help! (oophs I mean screaming) :scared1: I really thought I was history. I had visions of being tramped to death by my horse or having him trot through the woods dragging me along. Jeninpa and DGS reached me first and then a tour guide. Thankfully my horse just stood there looking at me like I was something from outer space!

It wasn't funny at the time, but we all get a good laugh out of it now. If anyone is accident prone in our family it is me! Last year I broke my wrist while taking an aerobics class.

Sorry, I got side tracked......

Anyone know if the Cruise Cost changed slightly? I am pretty sure each port has different taxes.

Does anyone have experience w/independents for Grand Cayman excursions?

It's always fun when an animal looks at you like you're from outer space! LOL!!!!

Wow...you broke your wrist doing aerobics? You sound like me! I've torn my ACL 3 times...all three times dancing! LOL!!!

Yep, my right wrist and I am right handed! We were doing step aerobics and I lost my balance while stepping up on one of those little platforms and fell. Luckily, I didn't need surgery. I had a cast up to my elbow for 10 weeks then a wrist support and therapy for another 6 weeks.

My DH banned me from aerobics for life! I guess he would rather see me chubby and weak than slim and strong. LOL

It's my understanding that torn ACL's are very painful. You poor girl!

That's so funny...'cause I was telling a friend earlier tonight that I was just going to get a fabric sharpie and write over it!!!!:rotfl2:

For all of you who bought shirts, what about those puffy paint markers? Do you think they may work?

Ok figured out what Im doing there.. LOL didnt take me long I saw it and knew the boys would LOVE IT! All 3 of them that is :rotfl2:
We will be doing the Pirate Encounter. pirate: arrr me lady LOL, still gives me plenty of time to tour the Torguga Rum factory, mail a post card from Hell, and do some shopping!

Now to Cozumel... Since we were going to do one of the beach things.. rethinking that now and wondering about the Ruins there... Anyone do those before? I believe there are the Tulum Ruins or San Gervasio Ruins. Any thoughts?

We did Grand Cayman on our last (and only) cruise and I thought it was fine. Maybe that is just my lack of cruise experience.:confused3

My younger son couldn't snorkel so he and I did one of the mini-sub tours and it was great!. The trip was nice and the place is literally steps away from where the DCL tender landed. That is one excursion you could book yourself without going through DCL and not worry about missing the boat. The excursion is short too.

My husband and older son did one of the snorkeling tours where you snorkel off a boat - they had a great time.

My older son and I (he was almost 10) did Tulum and if you're interested in Mayan ruins this is a very nice tour. I'd definitely want to book it through DCL cause it is a long trip into the mainland.

I would like to have seen CM cause I wanted to see the ruins there (though the thing about malaria shots meds was causing me to pause). I agree that I'd be happy on a cruise to nowhere on the DCL.:thumbsup2
