Love the pitures and congratulations on finishing the race. That is so much more than I could ever dream of doing.

As far as favoite resturant I love them all. Anything Disney is just the best. But if I have to pick just one it would be Palo.

Hope everyone is doing well, Lois

Congratulations Erica. Love the pictures.

Denise - Rachel looks beautiful. Brings back memories of my DDs first communion. Now waiting for my DS to do his (probably next year).

Dining Rooms - I like Parrot Cay because of the tropical feel.

I will have to ask the others when they get back from school/work.

Just paid off the rest of the vacation. Now all I have left to save is the spending money. I feel so good. Looks like I may not need to go into debt for this one. Lois

Yeahhh!! Congrats, awesome pics! Yum, looks like a good drink too! ;)

just catching up on the post haven't been on for a bit ,don't you hate when life gets in the way of disney.
just got our MNSSHP tickets in the mail. one more thing taken care of yeah

I've noticed that our website has been inaccessible since at least Sunday. From what I gather, the server is down.

Our wonderful webhosts and webmasters, Brandie (Fizzgig) and DH, Jeremy, are sailing the Magic right now, so we may need to wait for their return before it's back up and running. So be patient please.

Personally, I think this was a planned outage that conveniently had a notification communication error. :headache: I know! I know! It's their way to rub it in our face that they're off having a great time while we are all stuck at home counting the 144 paper links left on our chain. :rotfl:

The question of the week...

That's an easy one - since it's our first Disney Cruise, we don't know which dining room is our favorite! :)

zweihund - Great pictures! Thank you so much for posting them! :)

For all of you that have been to Florida or live there, can I ask for some help?

We have never been to Fl. We are flying into Orlando and the night we get there we are staying at the Crowne Plaza. How is that place? It looks like it's pretty close to the airport. I got the room for $78 on Hotwire, so I thought that was pretty good.

So we will have all of Friday to do whatever then leave for the cruise on Sat. Where exactly does the cruise leave out of? I was thinking of spending Fri. around that area and doing things like the Space Center. Then staying close to port on Friday night. Any must see things there?

When we get back from the cruise we will have 3 days until we fly back. I originally wanted to do Disney World, but I don't think we will be able to. What else would you recommend that my kids might like too? (ages 10 & 6)
Thanks for all the help!
Tonya

Thanks Kim I was wondering what was up. I thought it was me.

Rachel looks so pretty in her dress, congrats

Hi Tonya,

Yes, the Crowne Plaza is VERY close to the airport. It's in a cluster of airport hotels so should be pretty convenient. I have not been to the space center in many years, but I remember it being a great time. Cocoa Beach is out near Port Canaveral, where the Magic lives, and is pretty nice, but not as nice as the Carribean beaches ;)

As far as non-Disney things to do, there is always Aquatica which is the new Sea World water park. I haven't been but my friends LOVE it. It's closer than Disney and about $20 cheaper. There is also walking around Downtown Disney, which is free and really fun. There is a great Lego store out there! Sea World is also pretty neat for kids, but I think it's almost at Disney prices.

There is also a great place called the Orlando Science Center, which is relatively cheap to get in and tons of fun for kids and adults. It's fairly close to Downtown Orlando, but there is usually a little bit of traffic to contend with to get there and back.

I know of two other great and inexpensive things, but they are closer to my neck of the woods and likely about 45 minutes to an hour away from Orlando. One is Kelly Springs Park, which is a natural spring and "lazy river" - you rent tubes and ride the water but you have to keep your eyes open for Gators. I'll try and post a pic of it. The other thing is the Sanford Zoo, which I have heard great things about.

Hope that helps a little bit. :goodvibes

Yes...happy belated Cinco de Mayo! I celebrated with a margarita at a friend's house last night during our dinner from the patio grill!

Julie, your poor little man. I hope he's feeling better. Have you or DH been able to make contact so he knows the more positive update on your youngest DS?

Erica, you are amazing! Good for you!!! The drink looks like a wonderful finishing line reward, too!

Denise, your famly is just beautiful, and Rachel was simply stunning on her special day!

Question of the Week....I'm still waiting to be on my first DCL cruise as well, so I will anticipate Animator's Palette will be my favorite...especially if it's true that it's getting a technilogical facelift during dry dock! :thumbsup2

Speaking of dry-dock, no doubt everyone back here on the DISboards will be anxious to hear what's been updated or what's new from us. I know it's early for some to think about this, but is anyone considering doing a live TR or at least log in to report back to the DIS what they will be on the edge of their seats waiting to hear?

Nenner1 Jen, I saw you posted on your most recent TR that you think this weekend will be it for Sarah's big reveal?!!!? I'm so thankful you've made it this far!

Favorite restaurant is Animators Pallete (sp?)

I usually hope to have formal/semi formal nite in either AP or L.

Thanks Erica! The river sounds like a lot of fun, but ya kinda freaked me out when you said gators! :scared: lol

The science center sounds fun. Also, my kids LOVE Legos so we will have to check out the Lego store. What is downtown Disney.. It's not actually in the park? Just stores by Disney World?

Thanks again for the help :-)
