Question of the week:

Danielle: Dancing/performing. I've danced my whole life. Did a lot of musical theatre. My hobby/passion is also a part time job. Currently I'm dancing for the Washington Wizards basketball team. I'm also a HUGE nerd. I do math for a living and I Love video games.

James: He's a scientist and loves computer stuff. He's also a musician and has training in martial arts.


In other news. I got us reservations at Victoria & Alberts for the Saturday night after the cruise. I still haven't figure out how we're getting to the hotel the Friday before.

My prayers are with you and your family for your Mom and DBF. It is so hard when family and friends run into health issues. Like you said, the good news is that she will be all better and in better shape for the cruise

Jen, I hope that you and Sarah will get through these days leading up to her upcoming arrival without urgent concern. You've done a wonderful job taking care of her (and you) through this high risk pregnancy, so I'm sure you're greatly looking forward to enjoying her little mouseketeer smile soon!

Okay...on a serious note, my mom learned today that she has to undergo a cardiac catheterization Friday. I had suspected something was up the last time I was up to visit her as she was extremely tired (and said she had been sleeping a lot lately), and I found a couple of vials of nitroglycerin in her bedroom. So a couple of weeks later, I asked her if she needed a follow-up appt with the cardiologist. She said she had one scheduled for the time when she went to KS to visit my brother but never rescheduled.

She had a stint put in last October and they told her then that she had two other spots that had significant blockage as well. She also had a tough recovery from the stints with significant pain and didn't feel better for weeks. At that time, she had been feeling bad for probably 8 months, which is why I chose this itinerary back in April 2007 for our cruise because it's more leisure than many others. Depending on what they discover during the cath on Friday, she may end up with another stint. If it gives her energy back and makes her feel better, I'll "all good" with that.

On a side note, keep in mind that she works in the cardio ICU, but as all nurses (and probably doctors) are, they don't listen to their own bodies and face the possibilities there's something wrong as they always say "well I've seen worse so I can suck it up".

So it's become a little more stressful over here knowing she's going through this again and my DBF has been very closely monitored in the past several months and in the last week more intensely tested for his liver functions still with no diagnosis. They come in threes, right?????? The good news is that mom should be in good shape come Sept.

OK...question of the week:

Me: I love dancing. I have been dancing for 25 years and even though I can't perform like I used to, I still love it (after 3 torn ACLs, one that still needs to be reconstructed, I don't dance like before!) When I was with my dance company, we performed so many places including, WDW, The Big Red Boat, Carnegie Hall, in the Bahamas and at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Austrailia. Besides dancing, I enjoy writing, cross stitching, learning everything and anything about Disney and just spending time with my friends and family.

My DBF: His is short and simple - his enjoys playing video games and playing role playing games in his spare time. (Can you tell that I'm the talker in the relationship?! LOL!!! )

Thinking positive thoughts for those of you having having health issues in your families

Good news

They did not see that her existing stint had any issues nor did they see any areas in her arteries have changed since she had the existing stint put in back in October.

Soooooooo.....that still doesn't answer why she's having chest pains, extremely tired, and out of breath. So, the doctor who performed the procedure said he's going to recommend to her heart doctor that she get put on a new medication that works on clearing up the small veins. I think it started with a "Z". So she'll go see him on Wednesday and then they'll determine what the next plan of action will be. She's certain he'll be putting her on a strict diet, too.
