Congrats Lois! How exciting!!!!

I woke up to a picture message from my very good friend...it was a picture of a baby that said "The newest addition to our family" - all I could think about was that she wasn't due until June! Anyway, her water broke yesterday and she is a proud new first-time Mommy to a 4 lb. 5 oz. baby girl who is simply beautiful! She and her husband met while working at WDW...he was very good friends with the Green Army Men and she was a character greeter and the rest was truly happily ever after! I talked to my friend this morning and then this afternoon...everyone was doing well. She'll probably be in the hospital through the weekend and the baby will be there for about a week since she is still in the NICU, but breathing on her own. I'm so excited for her and her husband!

Anyway, to answer the question of the week:

Ok, since this question of when we get off the boat has come up recently..........what time should we reserve our rental car for? Is 8AM too early or late? or would we be better off with 8:30 or 9?

I am going to pay off the cruise today, but our reservation got all messed up so I am kind of dreading the phone call. Does anyone know how much they charge to keep your car in the parking lot at the port? This is the first year doing that because we always flew. My favorite movie is Ratatouille, my husband's is Monsters, Inc. and Abby's is anything Pixar!!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

Hope you get your ressies fixed and paid off. I am getting more and more excited as mom and baby will be home soon and I can go see them both. I will be sure to post a picture so everyone can see her.

When I went on a three day cruise in April it was 15/day. I hope that doesn't go up any by the time september rolls around

Also, for those who are booking at Palo, I too had noticed that the price had gone up from 10/person to 15 but when we actually dined at Palo, we were only charged 10 each. There was a note about it being a discounted rate for 2 people. *shrug* Maybe the 15/person is only if you're dining alone? Or maybe I'm just special

Only other thing to note is that the castaway lanyards they gave out on this cruise had a ziplock closure for your key to the world card, which I thought was nice in case you have any other small item you want to hold on the lanyard with your key to the world.

And dd 13 is pestering me about finding her a penpal. Anyone have girls (or boys) around 13 in the group who want to write to someone before we sail? She's done this before and is still in touch with several girls. In fact, one is trying to think of a way to sneak dd into her suitcase when the do the Western Repo this Fall. I should have a friend like that.

Julie, I have three nieces cruises with us. The twins will be 11 this year in December and the older niece will be almost 16 I think. If you think you DD would enjoy writing with any of them please let me know I will help her get connected. They maybe a little too young and too old, I am sure there may be girls closer to her age in the group. Lois

I am just so excited to have Hailey in my life. I told my daughter (Jennifer)that when she (Hailey)was older I needed to take her for two weeks. Of course, I want to take her to WDW and on a 7 day cruise once she is a little older. We are looking to do this once she is tall enough to ride most of the rides. I don't want to wait until she is old enough to remember because then she will be in school and WDW becomes so busy in the summer. So I am hoping about 5 years from now so I can really enjoy it. In closing I guess this is for me and not for her. Lois
