This is Pfishgirl's Uncle Bud on Pirate Night. Since Uncle Bud is not going on the cruise, but I am, I'm bringing this shirt. He got the face paint from the Kids Club and surprised us all with the makeup.
Pfishgirl, I have a shirt for you too, and a pirate hat..

Hi Aunt Michele. I got your letter, thank you.

You were among the ones that I did not include in the poopy heads that won't do it.. ;)

Good morning all. I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Catching up here:rolleyes1

Happy Anniversary:love: to a fun couple

Way to go Uncle Bud--I bet he frightened a few little ones with that make up:eek:

Erik--you can make Hank walk the plank but not Jan:rolleyes: One of these days we will get those two in pirate garb. Rio is debating if he will wear his pirate costume or if he will wear his Peter Pan costume which he is wearing for MNSSHP--I told him Pan is acceptabe for pirate night. I also have to make Marika a new costume. She has grown and the kids were playing about a month ago and had the costumes on--hmm all of the sudden her costume looks like a "sexy pirate":scared1: I'll start sewing as soon as she decides if she wants to be a "boy pirate" or a "girl pirate" (ie skirt or pants)

:dance3: I am doing a happy dance this morning because my travel agent (and Erik's) just emailed that she was able to get us Free Dining for our precruise WDW week:dance3: That had been our hope all along. Now if Southwest will just publish those fares (thanks to those of you who let me know the 17th is the day) I will be all set.

Happy Monday everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. Just popping in to say hello. It seems I can never keep up with all of you.;) I will have to do a lot of reading tonight to see what you all have been up to. :surfweb:

No big changes here EXCEPT..............WAIT FOR IT..............................

CHASE IS POTTY TRAINED!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :yay:  :cheer2:

He will be 3 on April 26th and our biggest fear when booking this cruise was that he wouldn't be potty trained in time and he wouldn't be able to participate in the kids clubs. We are so excited and now have the potty dance and song perfected

It is mandatory now...anyone not wearing a pirate costume on pirate night is forced to walk the plank...no questions asked, no excuses, no exceptions! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I have black t-shirt with the Disney characters dressed like parates that I bought on board last year. I also have a Goofy pirate hat. Does that count? My sister dresses like Elizabeth Swain from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Today is my 7th Anniversary and we are spending the night in Atlantic City!!! We have a Comped room so it costs us $11. for tax and fee..

Have a wonderful Day/ Night everyone

Congrats on the potty training...my DS will be 3 on May 27th. He has been potty trained for a few months now, still an accident here and there but that was my fear too ! Looks like Chase and Erik will be in the kids clubs together!

Matthew also had a Peter Pan outift, but I think he will be wearing his new Jack Sparrow one we got the day after Halloween for WAY CHEAP, He is constantly dressing up, ask Crisschef, she has a GREAT bribe picture of Matthew as Snow White and he Looks GOOD:scared1:

Awesome, we took advantage of free dining the first year, we havent looked back and ALWAYS get the dining plan when we go!

I picked up the cutest purses at the dollar store for DD, Crissichef her DD and myself, they are black with skulls and crossbones for the moms and the girls got brown to match their Elizabeth Swann dresses, its so cute I may use it for every dinner:goodvibes

Congrats to you AND Chase!

Well happy anniversary to another couple (Stacey and ?):lovestruc

Also hurray for Arin:banana: not having to worry about wether Chase can be in the club or not. Kudos to Chase (and Erik) for being such bog boys.

Keeping in the theme of Disney specials, I just learned that on Saturday, April 12, the Fine Living channel will feature Walt Disney World on their "What You Get for the Money" program. In our market, it's airing at 11:00 pm EDT.

Check out their website for a synopsis as well as other upcoming dates and times.

I am so happy to have new Disney specials to watch.....I try to watch the other ones before Lionel gets home because he always makes fun of me. "Haven't you seen this one like 5 times?"

Um, no.....that was someone else. :rolleyes1

It is mandatory now...anyone not wearing a pirate costume on pirate night is forced to walk the plank...no questions asked, no excuses, no exceptions! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I second this! Though my costume consists of cargo capris, a skull and crossbones t-shirt and as many bandanas as I can fit around my wrists.....that counts, right?

Our whole family had pirate costumes I made them last year but I don't know if DH and I will wear ours Here are the kids in ther costumes

Adorable!

So, in the interest of getting to know each other better and playing off of Erik's survey idea for Secret Mickey participants (but wanting to get to know EVERYONE better), how about a Question of the Week?

This week's question: Who is your favourite Disney character?

I'll start. I've always like Mary Poppins (maybe becasue I am so like her--pratically perfect in every way  )

Dave, always the odd one out, loves Milo Thatch from Atlantis:3dglasses

Marika (who always as her nose in a book) is of course rather fond of Belle:cutie:

And hten we have Rio who cannot settle for just one. He picks Mickey and Pluto and also Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planetpirate:

Hadley, Fiona's favorite is Aurora (even has the haircut). DH and I have Jim Henson favorites, but not Disney. His favorite character is Gonzo... I think you can figure out mine!

My favorite is Stitch, followed closely by Classic Mickey (you know, with the pie-eyes and the ears that are a little bit too big? yeah, him).
Lionel's is, and always will be, Tigger.

This week's question: Who is your favourite Disney character?

Mine:
Tinkerbell and my all time favorite from when I was a kid is Donald Duck. When I was little you couldnt find ANYTHINK Donald Duck and when I became a Tinkerbell fan about 6 years ago, again you couldnt find antying, know she is EVERYWHERE!!!

Dh: I would have to say Grumpy and Goofy

Rachel: Tinkerbell, just like her momma

Matthew: Peter Pan

Hadley, Fiona's favorite is Aurora (even has the haircut).

Two days after Treasure Planet opened 3 year odl Rio walked into the barbar shop on Main Street and told the lady he wanted his hair cut like Jim Hawkins. She told him she could do everything but the rat's tail (wasn't long enough for that). To this day that is his haricut (though he is thinking of making a change after Peter Pan closes). :rotfl2: I actaully didn't know otehr children based their hair style on DIsney characters also:thumbsup2

Denise--Tink is a close second for Marika also. She doesn't really like "stuff" with Belle on it (too princessy and girlie for her) but does with Tink:confused3

Erica--Lionel and Erik have something in common then. I think Erik actaully has as much energy as Tigger:scared1:

Everyone--I love seeing the answers. THANKS.
