OMG it is sunny and warm (for those of you not from New Englad I will define this as above freesizing now and supposed to hit 50 today) and NOT windy. It just might be spring out there:woohoo: (of course they are predicting snow overnight, but well I'll take my spring day while I can!).

DH reports big fluffy flakes on his side of town at work. Just overcast at the house. Guess he'll be picking up kiddo and dinner! :thumbsup2 I've been trying to get to the grocery store since we got back, but haven't been able to.

...Kimberly, I'm plagiarizing your post #6; sorry, it's easy....
That's what it's there for!!

WHAT?!!! Is that normal for you guys this time of year? I understand that we are to get 2"-3" of rain JUST tomorrow! :scared1: NOT GOOD!

*chuckle* Pretty normal. Though we've gotten snow in July around here, too. Also normal that I never saw these "flakes" he reported, either. Still overcast, but the sun peeked through a bit ago, too.

Wait 5 minutes and I'll post some different weather!

YEp, snow right through the spring is normal in Colorado. BUT they get sunny skies and temps up into the 60s or even 70s pretty regularly between storms all through the winter (unless the climate has changed since I lived there?!). New England generally has much more defined seasons. It SHOULD have moved into spring/mud season by now, but we still have snow about 10 inches deep in our yard and have not seen the grass since early December. However, as of today 2/3 of the driveway is now melted off and the front path has melted and there is even a patch of grass visible where the kids had worn down a path walking to the neighbors.

Well, we're headed to WDW tomorrow for our shortened, moved up vacation before dh leaves. Still no updated orders, just through his first stop in Mississippi. Being such an obsessive, anal planner, this is making me nuts. I'd never make it as a full time military wife. I admire those who can do it.

Welcome aboard to all the new folks, and have a good week everybody!

Julie

Okay...we had this conversation a couple of months back. Who was the NKOTB fanatic(s)? Heather? Brandie? Someone else?

I'm watching the Today show right now, and the "boys" are on there annoucing they're back together, and they've been recording since August. Are you girls alright? Do we need to pick you up off the floor? :lmao:

Chris, I take it ATA went under??? We don't have them here in Columbus.

Speaking of airlines, since I never fly Southwest, I thought that they put flights out there 6 months in advance. :confused3 If that's the case, shouldn't they have September dates out already, or will they wait until the end of April?

Julie--enjoy your vacation!

Stargater--I'll trade ya weatehr for the day--here is my back yard 5 minutes ago:

It really is beautiful, but we have had a lot of it this year. This is officially the snowiest winter on record in New Hampshire. Before the current storm started we were 5 inches away from being the snowiest. We might break that record yet:rolleyes1 I am actually wanting now now because I do want to break the record :rotfl2: Yeah, I know I am crazy;)

Oh Hadley, that actually is beautiful! Although it's "spring", that's very appealing to me! Keep the water hot....I'm on my way for a cup of tea! It really beats the dreary dark weather we're having....it's soooo depressing. "Only" 177 days until Castaway Cay....

I'll admit, I'm a NKOTB fan! I loved Joey McIntyre when I was little...even saw him three times when he was in Wicked on B-way!

I'll trade with you!!!!! I wish we could have at least one more snowfall...but I doubt it's going to happen!

Good thing I did not book flight on ATA.

What's up with ATA? I must have missed that news.

Julie--enjoy your vacation!

That picture is beautiful. Spring must be close. I would love to see your yard in the middle of summer. It is nice to see all the trees backed up to your yard. Would love to have that but alas I am a social worker and God just hasn't given me the correct power ball ticket yet. So I will remain thankful that I have food, a roof over my head, and a job that I enjoy.

Hope everyone has a good week-end. See everyone in September, Lois

Aloha Airlines stopped operating over the weekend, and ATA declared bankruptcy.

I am not the NKOTB fanatic... Hadley, however... She'll need to answer for herself...

Bright sunshine and 62 for the high here today. :) I  Denver weather.

Who else is eagerly awaiting Samantha Brown's new "Season of Disney" series? April 11th, babeeee! :thumbsup2

I don't klnow who you are thinking of but it isn't me. I never cared much one way or the other for NKOTB. I probably know and enjoy some of their songs but I couldn't tell you what they sing.

Lois--I do so love our trees. I grew up in the mountains of Colorado with trees all around but then lived many years without any in various places. My top priority when looking at homes here was that the trees had been left standing. One great thing about living in New Hampshire is that most houses here have at least two acres of land (5 is even more common--though we have only 2). That land has been clear cut in many places :sad1: but a good number of available homes still had the trees. Two tree covered acres here cost the same as a treeless postage stamp in Micigan did (though I daresay the value of our Detroit home has toppled in the three years since we left:sad2: ).

Kimberly, bring your swimsuit when you drop by. We can steep ourselves in the hot tub while the tea is steeping! It is so prety to sit out there in the tub and watch the flakes fall (the kids and i just came infrmo doing that very thing).
