It was interesting...the symptoms I had & Hubby had came on exactly the same time. So we were both really, really ragged towards the evening. We ate the bad food for a late lunch...

But he pulled a Mother's Day favor and even though HE felt like h*ll, he took over with Reese and I just laid on the couch and watched Jon & Kate Plus 8 while trying not to vomit. We all went to bed at 8:00, and Reese was a trooper and watched Star Trek while I shivered with a fever in bed (Reese sleps in our room) & Hubby slept upright on the couch.

What fun! Like I said though, I'm just glad Reese didn't eat the same thing we ate because I'd rather feel horrible instead of him

That was really nice of him! I'm glad Reese didn't get sick. My mom always says the same thing about my twin and I - she'd rather be sick herself than have us sick.

I was watching Jon & Kate Plus 8 on Mother's Day too! That show cracks me up! Those kids are so cute!!!! :)

Okay it is pretty late in the day on Tuesday and no one has come to my rescue and posted their own question of the week yet:lmao: . I DO enjoy the responses and feel like I at least am starting to know people a bit better so I guess I best ask something. This is a total cop out question that we have all been asked before, but I tend to find the answers interesting:

If you could hang out (coffe, dinner, whatever) for a couple of hours with any one person (living or dead) who would you pick?

Me--Like many people I find this hard to answer. There are so many good choices. I think I will answer Mark Twain. I love his novels and everything I ave heard/read about him leads me to believe that he would be a FUN person to converse with for a few hours.

Dave--He always answers Walt Disney. He says he would love to hear what Walt likes/dislikes about the current Disney and what other ideas he would have.

I will have to get back to you on the kids' answers.

Brandie--I am glad you are home safe. I am waiting for you to finish laundry and post gossip about the drydock:rotfl:
Heather--Sorry about your queesy Mother's Day. I'm glad Reese is okay.
Disney visa--Yep, a fabulous deal if you are disciplined enough to always pay it off. We put everything we can on it:thumbsup2 and it will be paying for tips and minigolf on the upcomming trip. Oh, and we were told we absolutely could NOT combine the $50 credit for paying with Disney Visa with the $200 credit for rebooking onboard--it is one or the other (hmm, we'll take the $200 thanks).

Oh, I almost forgot...YES Brandie--when you crawl out of your laundry stooper, fill us in on the dry dock news!!!

See, I love my Mozilla bookmarks! Now when I scroll through my blogs I read, this one is right in with the mix & I don't forget to check!!

OK...weekly question...which I love by the way...

Jeff: Thomas Jefferson. He wants to know how they pulled everything off. Walt Disney--where did he get his ideas? What does he think of it now? Did he ever worry about it being a failure? And Tom Moynehan--the inventor of Domino's Pizza.

Me: Neil Diamond. I have loved him since I was a young child & Dad played the 8 track. Not very intellectual answer, but hey! What can I say? I love me some Neil.

Reese: "Nobody. Cause I hate dead people." (I don't think he quite got what I was asking!)

I will have to ask Jason his answer to this question....although I doubt he'll be able to come up with an answer....

...and I'm no better.....I can't really come up with an answer. I'd love to hang out with a performer I'm really into like Idina Menzel (the original Elphaba in "Wicked") or Levi Kreis (my favorite singer...who, actually, I have had the chance to hang out with several times but I can never get enough)....but I'd probalby most want to spend time with some fantastic civil rights pioneer like Nelson Madela or Martin Luther King, Jr. or Gandhi or Harvey Milk or Harriet Tubman or Susan B. Anthony....someone who recognized institutionalized bigotry and hate and inequality....and stood up to it!

Thanks for all of the Disney Visa info.

Now, onto my next question for all of you: Those of you who have been to Cozumel, have you ever gone to the Nachi Cocom beach club? I have read some not-so-great reviews about the Cozumel Beach Break excursion and have found that a lot of people choose to buy a day pass for this resort instead. www.cozumelnachicocom.net

Those of you who have been there: How much is it for the day pass that includes all-you-can-eat food and drinks? Do you have to reserve ahead of time or just show up and pay when you get there?

Thanks.

Looks like fun, we are doing Paradise Beach in Cozumel http://www.paradise-beach-cozumel.com/food_bar.php, while an all inclusive sounds great, the last time we did one on our last cruise in teh Bahamas, we did not get our $$$ worth. I want to do a day and pay as we go, and so far this looks like the best option for us.

Let me know what you find out about the place you mentioned

Heather - sorry to hear that you were so sick on Mother's Day. It sounded yucky!

Hadley - loved the question and you all might think I am strange, but I would have to pick my mother. She passed away 6 years ago and I have a lot to talk about between now and then. I think we could go for tea somewhere and talk for hours and hours!!!

I love my Disney credit card, but you are all so much better then me because mine is NOT paid off. Working on it! Soon I hope!!

Oh my gosh...that's the SWEETEST answer, Sandi! :lovestruc

Can't really help with the Cozomel question. Last Western we were on, it rained that day so we took two steps off the boat (to the end of the blue disembarking tarp and we turned around and went back on board - it was the greatest movie day we ever had - saw movie after movie in the theater (took a blanket with us - it is darn cold in there!!!) The kids can't wait for it to rain again!!!!

The question of the week; I would love to be able to spend the day with my inner child and give her the love and attention that she so deserves. If I did that maybe I can stop making some of my stupid mistakes.

Won't make up for what I didn't get as a child but we can't turn the clock back and I know that both my parents did the very best they could and that their childhood was much worse than my was.

Good news only need to save about 1,000.00 more dollars and will have all expenses for all 21 days set aside and paid off. Then I need to save for the next cruise deposit. Lois

I would want to hang out with Walt Disney. I would want to thank him for creating the Disney magic that is still around today.

DBF said he would want to spend time with his Grandfather...(his answer is so much better than mine!)

Good question of the week!

I am enjoying reading those answers. Sandi:hug: I don't think your answer is strange at all.

Both kids had a really hard time answering htis (so do I--I think my answer changes with my mood:cutie: ) but here is what they came up with:

Marika: Christa McAuliffe. She was from Concord and we spend a lot of time in the planetarium built as a memorial to her. Marika is a space nut and thinks it would be cool to have someone who learned so much about it and who was a great teacher teach her soem of what she learned. Before she setteld on CHrista several authors were in the running (everyting from JM Barrie to Laura Ingalls Wilder, to Jane Yolan)

Rio: Cathy Rigby (obviously inspired by what is going on in his life at the momebt). He says since he wants to play Peter Pan on DCL when he grows up she could probably give him some good tips:rotfl: He considered a variety of other performers he likes (everything from Dick Van **** to Lucas Grabeel to Carol Burnette) as well as a number of "heroes" from some CDs he loves (Wright brothers, Fredrick Douglas, Elanore ROosevelt and Susan B Anthony were in the running for awhile:rotfl2: ).

Hadley: I got nothin'. :confused3 No news of the dry dock. Cecilia in Palo actually said we had better news than she did. For the question of the week: Jonathan Swift. Gloria Steinem. Mary Wollstonecraft. Richard Feynman.

DH: Robin Williams.

Fiona: A real princess.

Me: Dalai Lama: His promotion of human values/secular ethics (compassion, forgiveness, tolerance, contentment and self-discipline) is inspiring.

DH: BRETT FAVRE, former quarterback of the GreenBay Packers . He can't help it............he is a super fan.

DD: Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana)

DS: He is too young to understand the question, but if I had to guess, it would probably be a super hero or disney character :)

Someone had mentioned something about a blanket & I wanted to suggest (to those of you who already have a packing list made!) that you bring a blanket on the cruise.

I stashed one of our favorite "couch blankets" into the bag & it came in handy a number of times:

*laying on the couch in the room, it was nice to have a soft blanket to cuddle with
*when Hubby had sea sickness the first night & day at sea, something comforting from home helped a little
*we took it on deck one night when it was breezy & watched the stars
*nice blanket for naps when Reese laid down

I didn't think about taking it to the theater...because it WAS freezing cold!

I think this time, I'll shrink down two blankets into a SpaceBag and bring more than just one (Hubby & I always wanted a blanket!).

OK...I not only LOVE Rio's answers (& Marika's, too)....but I love that the DIS censored Dick's last name and replaced it with asterisks! :lmao: :lmao: There's something ironic and funny about that to me!

Seconded. I saw that and chuckled, too. On our DDD website, "cocktail" is censored, which has had Muushka and I rolling. We were talking about what to wear on the dressy nights.
