Have you made a decision on Pop Century pre-cruise, Lisa? My DBF is coming onto the idea of going with me to WDW. He mentioned it again on Friday, so I may have surprisingly hooked him in. ;) We'll see. However, I'm not sure he'll stay the whole week. Of course mom and grandmother will join me on Friday as we head to Port Cananveral.

oh my gosh it has gotten worse I just can't make up my mind these days about anything. I'm now trying to decide between going pre or post cruise there are pros and cons to each I wish I could just decide and be done with it. Good luck on getting your DBF to WDW!!

Thanks again, Drea, for organizing this for us!!!

FYI to all....I've added a link to Drea's posting on Post #6. If you need any content changed there, Drea, please let me know.

BTW, if you have friends and/or extended family who want to participate along with you, make sure you pass that info onto Drea as well.

Oops, I was wrong sorry.. we are flying out of Ontario,Ca. We looked into LAX, but Ontario was cheaper. Did you find a hotel to stay in when you get to FL? I think we are going to stay at the airport.

Anybody know if there are discounts for the MCO airport hotel besides Military or Gov?
Tonya

Probably no help with the hotel. Because we are arriving on the Tuesday before the cruise we are staying at a timeshare.

Only other discount I know of is a senior rate Only 1 person in the room needs to be eligible (my mum is just eligble for this when they stay the following week). Again not much help to you I guess.

You know not making a decision is making a decision. Janet and I will be at Pop with My sister and my 3 nieces before this cruise. Maybe we can get a quick meet together some night at one of the resort pools.

Thanks, Erik for the Costa Maya unofficial news! FYI to everyone, I've added his post to Post #6 under a new section called "Excursions". I added the other two destinations as well.

Julie, I'm with you on Kohunlich Ruins. Based on what others here have posted, I think they sound amazing. I'm pretty sure that's going to be my choice. :thumbsup2

Ditto Thanks Erik for the info. I had seen it before on one of the many web sites I visit. We also plan to do a Mayan ruine. Not sure which one at this time. I hope DCL has them posted before the 90 day mark. I can't stand not having everything planned out.

Have a good day and I will check in later. Lois

Hyatt at Airport sometimes has a AAA rate.
They also will often have a code for 2 free breakfasts.

Mary Poppins is great! I saw it last year...I also saw Tarzan...it was good but it wasn't anywhere near Mary Poppins.

I just saw Legally Blonde a few weeks ago! Laura Bell Bundy was AMAZING in it! My twin and I did the Elle's Lounge VIP Experiece and actually got to talk with a few of the cast members after the show. Laura Bell Bundy was one of them...she's very nice.

Another Wicked fan!!!!!! :yay: :yay: 16 times... I'm jealous yet I :worship: you! I've seen Wicked on broadway three times...twice with Idina Menzel (who is just amazing!!!!) That will always be my favorite show.

You'll have to let us know how Little Mermaid is...I've heard some very good things about it. I purchased the soundtrack and love listening to it...it's funny to think that Ursela is Sheri Renee Scott who was in Aida. She has such a lovely voice. I'm hoping to see TLM sometime this year.

Yes I saw Idina and Kristen do it 5 times....I've seen most of the other "big" Elphabas EXCEPT I never saw Anna Gasteyer....but I've seen Shoshana Bean, Eden Espinosa, Stephanie J. Block, etc.

I just adore the show! If Jason and I ever decide to have a little girl I'm totally naming her Elphaba!

Ok is the tea that popular? That is the one thing my mother is really looking forward to doing on the cruise I hope we are able to book it in advance or on the cruise itself.

EXTREMELY!!! It is Only available on "at sea" days.. It filled up for our December cruise in less then an hour.. and that was at MIDNIGHT... :scared1: I even tried to reserve it the moment we stepped on the ship and Nope.. Never got to do it.. :sad1:

***Fish Extender/ Secret Mickey Time****

We did this on our December cruise and LOVED it... We had sooooo much fun.. Running around the ship Trying not to get caught... :tiptoe:

We did a little something for each Cabin.. We didn't spend much money either.. $2 - $3 per cabin..

People need to remember if you Do, do it This way... It can be anything like Pens, Pencils, Tattoos, Stickers, Party Favors.. etc etc..

Several people gave out Pencils, Mini Pads and Key Changes monogramed or personalized with our DCL date :rolleyes1

It's popular and they only use a portion of the restaurant, so seating is limited. You can book on line, or on the ship. I just haven't been lucky. Also, they take a wait list, but it was suggested to me that you go up that day and see if people don't show. It happens quite a bit apparently because there's no deposit for tea.

The time I did go, one of our disboard group was the first one on the ship and she went right to Palo and got tea for about 15 of us. We just gave her cabin number while we waited in line before boarding. This was before you could book on line.

If someone is in a suite, maybe they could book for a group at whatever time out they can book. If someone wants to do that, I'm in!

Julie

Drea---

Jason and I would like to be put into the secret mickey exchange. (We'd like to be put in as a couple, not individually...just to clarify).

Jason and I will also have our fish extender aboard if what you're doing is organizing a list of who will have fish extenders...whether or not we have time to work on making a lot of fish extender gifts, however, really depends on our progress with making lanyards! hehehe

I have a suggestion for the secret mickeys, too. Maybe we could create a short "survey" for people to respond to here that would both let us get to know each other AND maybe give our secret mickeys hints about what would be a good gift! Questions could be things like "Who's your favorite character(s)? What's your favorite activity onboard? Do you have any hobbies? etc. etc."

Just a thought.....since Jason and I are definitely willing to play secret mickeys but unless we get Hadley's family, Sandi's family, or Chris and Rob we'd be making kind of a shot in the dark as to what we should get anyone!! :lmao: :lmao:

I vote for secret mickey's (for those who want to participate) with the option for little trinkets if folks so choose. :thumbsup2

We booked with the AAA rate which was $159.20 plus tax. This was much better than the standard $199 plus tax that you had to pay in full at time of booking.

I vote for Secret Mickeys too !

Hi Everyone.... jumping on board tonight.

Enjoying the double dip fun will be: DGS, DGD, DGD, XDIL, her DS and myself.

Looking forward to chatting with you all.

Diana :flower3:

Hi friends! Checking in again....hope all is well with my fellow cruisers.

Thanks to the lanyard team, the Secret Santa/FE organizers, everyone else who is making our group "work"! Obviously, I have problems checking in here often. So I appreciate those of you who are more on the ball than I!

Just popping in to say hello & have a great day!!

I would like to participate in Secret Mickeys also if Drea (not me--lanyards are taking all my poor organizatioanl skills) wants to organize (Dave and I as ONE unit--not as individuals). I think the $25 limit is good. Also, I like Erik's survey idea. Also, everyone should be reminded that the item needs to be fairly packable;)
Additioanlly I think it would be nice to have a list of who has Fish Extenders in case I get around to making a small trinket for everyone (but I think no one should EXPECT these from anybody). I have an idea for a SMALL trinket I'd like to do if I get on the ball.

:welcome: popcorn:: You definately joined the Right Cruise ;)

This is the cruise meet site for the western double dip on Sep. 27, 2008 isn't it?

I truly am on this cruise with my three grandkids, exdaughter-in-law and her son. This is not an April fools joke!

Looking at your previous posts, everyone seems really upbeat and friendly so I thought I would start posting.

If you aren't welcoming newcomers, please say so and I will refrain from any more posts.
