That's really exciting Kimberly :cool1:  .

One of our cruise members from the 4-11 Oct group got theirs the other day. I thought our group Double Dip group might be missing out :scared1: . I just hope we get ours soon ::yes:: .

Oh & yes we might be going into hibernation for winter soon :rotfl: . It is winter but the weather doesn't know it yet :cool1: . Only cold nights/mornings so far & today is the first attempt at rain for ages.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Tania

LOL. You're about to go into winter & we're experiencing extreme heat here in NC. We've had a sting of high 90's & forecast to hit 100 tomorrow, 102 on Sunday. & I have an outdoor craft show to do tomorrow. Ugh. Not looking forward to sweating all day.

Yuck. That sounds too hot even for a warm weather girl like me.
Hope the craft show goes well despite the temps :thumbsup2 .

We were out and about until late this evening today. So I get home and head to the mailbox and in the dark, I pull out this large 9"x12" envelope that is pretty thick.

"Hmmm...what did I order that's in this envelope" I thought to myself. Then I thought maybe it was a prospectus....yeah...those are this size and feel heavy like this did. I turn around so some light hits it. "Oh wait! I know that butter-colored envelope. Wow! There's Mickey's head!"

Being I'm a first time guest on DCL, this was an unexpected surprise to get in the mail!! :goodvibes I received our "Travel Kit", which is a lovely little ship and shore vacation book along with a short letter that reminds me of the upcoming dates for booking excursions and spa appointments as well the acknowledgement that September 27 is our vacation start date, saying "Horray! Your vacation starts toda. Paradise awaits." :woohoo:

Looking inside, I found yet another little treasure that I've been begging people on the boards to post pictures of. They have GOOD pictures of all the DCL exclusive gifts that you can find on DCL's .com site.

I tell ya...the little things in life that put a smile on our face.......priceless! :)

I WANT ONE!!! :worried:

OK KImberly, in that travel kit there should be a listing of the excrusions. Are there any listed for Costa Maya? If so please do not keep them to yourself. I am most interested in the info on amy Maya Ruines excrusions. Thanks ever so much. Going to check the web site again. They were no listed yesterday. Thanks Lois

Funny you said that because that was the first section of the book and it caught my attention particularly since the outside cover of this section states "Special Cruises". Unfortunately, there is not even one page inside. It's simply the cover of the section that generically suggests what to wear and what to bring on an excursion. :(

So now I know there typically is real content in there, the next person to receive theirs, let us know if you have pages in the "Shore Excursions" section. Perhaps I got a dud package. :confused3

I got my travel kit also on Thursday. Its just a welcome kit and it give me the date that I can book online reservations..June 29th

Good morning, everyone!!!!

The weather in Florida today is rather balmy. We walked the dog at 9 am and all of us were exhausted when we got home!

Wow...this is our first real heat wave of the year. It's going to be in the mid-90's for about the next week or so. I live in a valley so when it's humid, the humidity just HANGS around. Well...it's more smog than humidity! LOL!!!!

I'm at work right now and we're not busy at all...oh well! It will be an easy day for us! :)

It's been rainy and gross all week here in Oregon and around 60 degrees. :worried: Where oh where is Summer???????

We're supposed to have some rain :rotfl2: but not sure where it is yet; hopefully by the end of the weekend we'll see some sort of relief.

Haven't received our 'travel pack' yet; still standing by the mailbox :rolleyes1 ...melting away.

Wish your DS a happy birthday from me! I've heard of Muligan's! I'm a sucker for mini golf! :)

You should invest in a PassPorter. It's getting me SOOOO excited for the cruise!!!! :)

Definately buy the Passporter. I bought the Deluxe Edition last year (w/the leather/faux leather binder). I love it! I also just bought the updated 2008 filler pages.

My DD's 10th birthday is on Wednesday :)

I am going to PM you a couple of ideas for the questioniere.

To all of you with nice weather: I am jealeous ;)

Videoman, sounds like you know how to throw a party! You need some good music to go with that!

Drea, regarding the PassPorter, I did the same thing as you. I went to the library, read it front to back, then ordered my own before I even made it back to the library to return it. Let me give you a little tip if you do decide to make the purchase...using the book you got from the library, you can use it as a reference to get the repeating customer discount. Basically you register the book you have in hand by answering a question like "What's the last word on page ###?"

Speaking of making lists, I've been doing the same. I have only 14 weekends remaining (not including this weeked) before I leave. :woohoo: Unbelievable!! So by the time I subtract the weekends that there is no way I'll find time to work on cruise planning execution, I know I need to be on the ball now! With that said.......

Has anyone tried making a CafePress order lately? You may recall that after we got the logo finalized in Sept, I made several purchases in October. The ladies cap sleeve t-shirts were unexpectedly junior sizing, so they were wayyyy too small. So today, I went on-line to order our embarkation day shirts, but found that the logo that I had saved in my account has been marked as "Image cannot be used" due to licensing issues, which would be because of the Mickey Head. I remember we all held our breath when we first tried. So before I remove that image and make an attempt to upload it again and cross my fingers that the reviewer won't reject it, I thought I would check to see if anyone has recently been successful.

I also have t-shirts to make that without question would be a licensing violation that will use images from some DISers in the Creative DISigns Forum. I've only created t-shirts one other time for a vacation trip to Kiawah Island for a group of friends, and after the first washing, they looked HORRIBLE. I was soooo disappointed. So if you've had success with making your own iron-on transfers and the quality was good, I would love to know what brand of transfer paper you used. I think we used Hanes' own brand, so I don't want to use it again. Has anyone heard of CLEARSOFT INKJET PAPER? It sounds like it's good, but ya never know.

Thanks!

Hi friends! We, too, got the envelope with information...but lacking any actual information specific to any of the stops.

So my packet says I can make reservations starting June 29th. Because I'm dense and what not...does that date take into account our Castaway Club status? I could probably figure it out, but I thought some of you may already know the answer :)

We got nothing!!

Question to those who booked using DVC points - who did you use for travel insurance? I definitely want to get insurance to get our points back if there's an issue.

Thanks so much!
