double checking: rules/restrictions for transferring points?

Thanks for this info. This thread has been most helpful to us. We will be renting/leasing/purchasing (whatever you want to call it) points from my BIL for the next 2 years. They are having a 3rd child and don't feel like they can travel for a while with 2 infants at home. Fortunately, he has the same use year as we do so that won't be so complicated, but his points are BWV and ours are OKW. Are there any restrictions as to how transferred points are used? Can we use them for Concierge or Disney Collection or II trades? We're hoping for another DVC member cruise. We'll have points available this time.

You have a perfect transfer situation- they will all be transferred into your account and out of your BIL's. The transferred points may be used for any of the non-DVC options 11 months ahead and can be combined for use at any DVC resort at 7 months. Otherwise the home resort rules apply at 11 months for the points at each of the resorts involved.
