Double checking on your travel agent?

I booked everything through AAA. Tomorrow is my 45 day mark - yay! DH says I should call the airline and car rental company to confirm that the agent really made the reservations. (I know my resort has the reservation because they had it on file when I made my ADR's.) Has anyone ever done this? Will I even be able to do it? I don't have any reservation numbers, because the agent did it all.

Thanks!

I ALWAYS double-check. There's no risk in doing it, and it can only benefit you, in case there is a problem or discrepancy. It makes me feel better to check myself.

I agree with Cleverocks ::yes::

Even the best of TA's make mistakes once in a while. I also like to make sure that I am getting the best price possible. You should be able to get the ressie numbers from your agent but if not, you should be able to confirm the reservations w/ your name, travel dates, etc.

I got to admit... this is why I don't bother to use a TA. If I can't trust them enought to do it right and have to double check then why bother!
