Double booking ADRs???

I think Disney should do one or the other of the following in case of double booking:

1. Charge a set amount, say $10.00 or $20.00 per seat to anyone's credit card who fails to show up for an ADR. ... OR ...

2. Cancel all of the indiviidual's ADRs as soon as the double booking is entered into the system.

Perhaps one of the two above would make folks think twice before making reservations that make it difficult or impossible for another person to make a desired ADR.

Like someone else said, just call and change the name on the other ressie to your friends name and phone number. If she chooses not to use it, then that is up to her. I also plan my trips many months out. I get original ADRs at 180 days, but I know those will not stay the same. If and when I choose to make a change I just call and make the new ADR and cancel the old one. Not a single day of my trip ever stays the same. Once I call and the change I want to make is not available, then I know it is finally time for the schedule to be permanent.
It is a blessing!! Because by then I need to walk away from the schedule before I lose my mind.
