Maybe some VIP will be there? :cool1:

My inlaws have 8012 and 8002...fairly close, I guess.

Should be fun.

8012 is 7 cabins down from you and 8002 is another 5.

Regarding VIP's, the 2 royal suites (Walt and Roy) are always the very first to book. They are booked for every cruise as far in advance as you can get. They set up a waiting list for these 2 suites. Most times, they are not VIP's just familys that have $13,000 - $15,000 to spend for a 7 day cruise.

Must be nice. I guess they will not be speaking to us lowlifes nextdoor. I just hope they do not ask me to wash their feet or anything. :joker:

Wow...another person from Middle Tennessee on the cruise!! :cool1: :cool1:
Where are you from? I am in Nashville.

Anyway..welcome to the thread and let us know if you want to be in on the shirts.
Shirts? I didn't read through every page of the thread ... what's the deal on the shirts?

Middle Tennessee - you won't believe how close we are. ;) I live in Brentwood. Are you flying down to Florida or driving? We currently have reservations to fly down 11/22 and rent a car to drive home 11/26 ... but we're thinking of cancelling both reservations and just driving both ways.

As far as the shirts go...I own an embroidery company and so for all the DISers here, or as we like to call ourselves on this cruise, The Dorky Disney Cruisers, I am going to make some t-shirts with the boat on the left chest, Mickey on the back of the neck and the Dorky saying on the sleeve (just for DISers not families). So if you want in, let me know sizes (probably by PM and I will get back with you with any questions).

My group is flying down on the 21st, spending the night at the Embassy Suites, and getting a van to take us over on the 22nd. WE then are flying back to TN from Tampa...it is the only thing we could get this late...on the 26th.

We are ready to go NOW!!!!

You are across the hall from us!!!! We are in 8528!! Hello neighbor!!!

Hey...you better keep it down over there or there will be trouble :thumbsup2 ;)

We all can watch together for the VIP's or people who can afford to spend all that money on a huge suite. I think I saw somewhere that Roy Disney was on one of the cruises recently...maybe someone like that will be on ours?

Being a naive Southern boy, I am scared enough of anyone from NY/NJ, so if you want me to call you a VIP, I am more then happy to, :bitelip: :rolleyes1: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just check for my room assignment and now I am disappointed. I was assigned to a room directly across from the elevator :sad2: I just got off the phone and there are no other rooms to switch too. I will be calling them everyday until we leave in hopes of getting a different cabin.

sorry about that. good luck with another room.

Honestly thought how much time do you really spend in your room! I know my new bride and I will not be spending much more than a couple of hours to  sleep and thats it.

HAHA just kidding (hope that is not to risky)

The room means nothing it is all about the experience, I think.

Nothing to be scared of over here...besides, with my shirt stating that I am a dork I am not going to pass for a VIP let alone a scary NJ person!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Yogi- dont worry about your room. We just got back from WDW (Poly) and had a room next to both the elevator and the housekeeping storage room and didnt hear a thing. We were hardly in our room at all and when we were we just crashed from exhaustion. Dont worry about your location, it will be fine. :thumbsup2

None of the Dorky Disney Cruisers are allowed to be sad :sunny: We will not let that happen :cheer2:

Absolutly not!! Like Shelly said, you won't even be in your room, if that is going to ruin you vacat that is unfortunate. You shoud get a Stateroom celbration package even if you have nothing to celebrate that will make you laugh!!

:thumbsup2

OK...I have a couple of questions to get it going again.

1. What goodies or gifts have people had waiting in their rooms (or decorations)? And does it make the entrance to the cabin even more special?

2. What three things are you most excited to experience or do on the Wonder?

I guess my answer to number 2 would be (in no particular order)
Exploring the boat.
Experiencing the thrill of ordering as much and as many items at the restaurants.
The couples massage at Castaway Cay.

Those actually were tough to narrow down...and I may have to add some more.

Well being a first time cruiser I connot answer what has been in my room but I can answer what I am getting. I am on the romance package so I believe we get a set of Robes, and a frame for pictures as well as a few other things. I was going to get a fruit platter or something but I think we will be too overwhelmed to enjoy it.

As for the top three things that I can't wait for is
1) Seeing the ship and being announced on (trying not to cry)
2) Seeing Mickey and the eyes on my fiances face when we do
3) Castaway couples cabana massage (surprise) for NDW

:sunny:

:sunny: Okay I am smiling now you guys made me laugh :rotfl2:

Last cruise we had a couple of rude cruisers that were very loud in the hall and it woke me up every night. Oh well I guess I can sleep when I get home.

Yogibigdog, where is your room? what number, we can look it up on the chart. I love being near the elevators.

We are going on the Med Disney Cruise next year, & we are invited to a party from a fellow Disney Board who is staying in the Walt room. I can't wait to see it.

Are we having a meet? What time & where are we meeting.

Shelley, I was in your neck of the woods today, are you closer to the Plaza or PP?

I decided that, this time, I am not leaving the boat in the Bahamas, I want to spent most of my time on the wonder, so many things are going on in the boat too. :cheer2:

Yogi- you can have rude cruisers anywhere...your room will be fine, stop worrying!!! :teeth:

Patricia-actually, in the area right behind Kohls. Once I make it through Halloween we will have to meet at Panera for some coffee..I dont think we are leaving the ship in Nassau either so we can chat about how we will have the ship to ourselves for the day!!! Party on deck 9l!!! :yay:

***Yes, fellow cruisers, Patricia and I live about 10 minutes from each other and are planning a pre-cruise meet!! Pictures to follow!!! :woohoo:
