Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination Disney HeatherSue's(best)version OVER1/27

The world would be a better place if everyone had a sister like Teresa. :cloud9:
I couldn't agree more!

Now it's going to be really funny to hear about the rest of the family running around the parks while you guys were relaxing!

I have such a hard time relaxing on vacation. I just think the whole time that I can do that at home but we are at DISNEY!!!!!!!

This was an odd vacation for us! We usually, .......hold onto your hats people..................... only go to the parks 3 or maybe 4 days out of our two week vacation! :scared1: The rest of the time we spend lazing around, doing not much of anything! So, it will be back to our old routine next year!
You know, I read this update a long time ago, but waited to post until I found this:

So, like, I totally love your hair! And your earrings are so rad!!! No wonder we get along so well. :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: (yes, I did crop DH out of the picture)

It looks like you had a lot of fun on your "day off"! Those pictures with the sweet 'n' low are hilarious and I LOVE the photos of Sawyer running around the pool. He looked like he was having so much fun!
Oh my goodness, that is soooo funny!!!! You guys are so cute!

Sounds like you had a perfect day! :goodvibes The kids are sooo cute, and you and Henry seem like such a cool couple. I wish I knew you in real life!

I love the old pictures. You look so pretty and happy on your wedding day and when the babes were born. :) Looks like you are a fellow survivor of the 80's. ;) Actually, I think the 80s are making a comeback. TCP has some lovely stirrup pants available for fall. Let's just hope this fashion trend doesn't make its way up to adult sizes...

Owww, my eyes!

I'll have to remember to schedule a totally down day when we go to WDW in October. :thumbsup2
:scared1:
I had the COOLEST pair of denim stirrup pants! I wore them with my oversized pink shirt with teddy bears on it. I loved that shirt and those pants!

Oh, last thing before I stop my incessant chatter: My dd has a crush on Sawyer. I was reading your TR and Lily said "Oh, he's pretty cute" I said "Ya like young ones huh kiddo?" She didn't get it. :rotfl: She's gonna be 4 in December.

That is so very fitting, because Tessa is going to marry Jham's son, and SHE has a daughter named Lily. You don't have a son named Luke, do you?
;)

YIKES! Stirrup pants!? Those are just AWFUL!! Next thing they'll be wearing 2pairs of color coordinating socks over those babies!

My favorite pants (circa 1986) were my light blue paisley denim jeans, that I wore with one of those soft cotton long heather colored sweaters, in a matching light blue and black. I WAS STYLIN'.

You're so sweet! We honestly are not cool- AT ALL! I take that back- Henry's pretty cool, but my dorkyness overshadows his coolness.
At least we tell him he's cool, now that he has a gun. LOL

You're welcome for the shout-out!!

We didn't spend every day together. We're all capable of navigating the parks on our own! ;)

Hey, did you notice anything new in my siggy?:rolleyes1

I came here from T's report to tell you I like your siggy! It's so modern, and technical and all that jazz. I still haven't figured out how to post a link that doesn't contain the entire address. :thumbsup2

Your DD's "baby soup", too funny! :rotfl2:

dd5 said "bimming soup" for the longest time. LOL

Looking forward to more report. I need to get back to mine. Sigh.

It looks like you all had a nice relaxing day at home. I wonder what everyone else did that day! I like that ya'll had your own pool. One day we will try to stay off property in a house and then we can bring my parents.

Waiting for your next installment!

HeatherSue, sound like you're gonna have to keep an eye on Sawyer once he gets older! He sounds like a little playboy. I have check out the disboutiquers thread, but since I'm no good at any of that sort of thing I don't really contribute. I love looking at the awesome creations though!

TeresaJoy, How weird would that be?!?! Haha. Nope I've just got the one kiddo. Thank goodness cause sometimes it seems like I can barely handle her! Oh, I just wanted to tell you that you're very talented also! I LOVE the ice cream outfits! Isn't it nice having girls that like that sorta thing? DD loves to dress up but I don't know if a boy would find as much joy in it as she does. Thank heaven for girls.

Any updates on the horizon ladies? popcorn::

Hey, Teresa hasn't even posted her version of this day yet! I can't step on her TR toes!!!;)

I had the COOLEST pair of denim stirrup pants! I wore them with my oversized pink shirt with teddy bears on it. I loved that shirt and those pants!
I loved that outfit, too. That shirt was so cute and I wanted one pretty bad!

1. Your '86 outfit sounds lovely. My favorite was a stonewashed black denim skirt with 3 tiers of denim ruffles. A girl once told me I looked like I was going to a wedding. I took that as a compliment! :thumbsup2
2. :rotfl2:
3. Thank you! I was referring to my new ticker!! Mom, Tessa, Sawyer, and I are going back in February of 2009!!!! Only just over 6 months!!!!!!

Come on over and visit with us disboutiquers! I didn't think I was good at that sort of thing until I found them (with Teresa's help) a year ago. Now I love to sew!!!

HeatherSue, I just might have to spring for a sewing machine now. I don't even have a needle and thread *hangs head* If one of us loses a button we're screwed! I read your homepage and it's wonderful. I especially loved the pregnancy journals and pics. I just love to read that sort of thing cause I feel like I kind of got gypped(sp?) with DD. I didn't even know I was pregnant for 7 months! Ha. Funny story. If you'd like to know, I'll share.

Uh...finally caught up! I swear if you get behind it takes forever to catch up...and I did not want to read yours without reading your sisters abour the same days...keeps from having a spoiler!:lmao: Great report and love the pool...looks like fun right about now!

Um, there is no ticker in your siggie. I bet it's not showing because your link/photos are big.

But that's great news! Onsite? Pop?
Don't want to wait until Sept and go with us?

Hey, also, can you point me toward those disney alphabet icons to make personalized shirts? I don't want to try to weed through the whole disboutique to find them.

Thanks!

Thanks! All the girls loved their outfits, it was fun!

I am a slacker on this installment!! Heather's just waiting on me!

I agree with Teresajoy- you need to hijack the thread and share this story:listen:

Ok. I'll spill. First a little backstory: So I've got cysts on my uterus and it cause my period to be a little wonky. Sometimes I'll have them, sometimes I won't, that sorta thing. I've been on birth control since I was 16 to regulate them and it's worked fine. Flash forward to March of 2004. I'm living with my then boyfriend and am working under the table so I can't afford the $50 a month out of pocket with no insurance, let alone go see the doc to get the script.
Well, then-bf and I are on the outs at this time and we have the 'last fling.' Y'know what I'm talkin' about! So I get pregnant then. Well in the meantime I get rid of the ex, start living on my own, start painting houses, and just enjoy my freedom. I wasn't having my period but I just attributed it to not being on bc, therefore they were off. In June I meet the current bf,(at the gay bar, true story!) so we start dating. In the meantime I saved up some money and went to the doc. Now obviously this doctor didn't give me a pregnancy test, which I automatically thought they were obligated to do. But that doc told me, after the fact, that it's not their policy. Whatev. So she prescribes me the bc in August. I'm taking it and didn't have my period which I thought was weird. And I keep feeling this butterfly sensation in my stomach, I figured it was gas or something. Then I was hungry all the time, I figured that I was just hungry cause I was really bustin my butt at work all day. I wasn't really gaining any weight cause I was working all the time.
Then I swear it was like a week and a half, I blew up. My stomach got really big and hard and I felt more fluttery feelings. Finally I went back to the same doctor. I showed her my stomach and she gave me a pregnancy test. Yep, I was pregnant. At that time she felt my stomach and guessed I was 3-4 months. Well of course I cried, but not the good kind of crying. Not then anyway. I was 22 when I got pregnant and was just starting to go out with friends, y'know that sorta thing. I figured well, life's over. Now I know I was wrong but at the time it seemed terrible.
So I have my mom pick me up and I tell her and of course she's thrilled. Current bf and I assume the baby's his if I really am 3 months along. Then ba, ba, bum, I have my ultrasound at the end of September. The woman holds that little wand on my belly and says "well it looks like you're due December 20th..." At first I don't register that cause I'm in awe that this baby is in me. Then my mom leaves the room to go talk to my stepdad. Uh oh. Well after we get home we have the dreaded conversation. We feel a little silly when we have to go to current's family and tell them this baby's not his. But that wonderful man tells me that he loves me and he'll love this baby too. Yep, he's a keeper! His family was shockingly understanding. I mean I couldn't have blamed the guy for leaving, it's alot to deal with. Then comes the ex. Ugh. So I call and tell him. Won't go into THAT drama! He wants a blood test, of course that's fine. Turns out she's his and he sees her every other weekend, it's been bumpy but it worked out alright.
In my mind though I'm freaking out. I was going out like every weekend, and I was so scared of what I might've done. Not to mention being on the bc for a month or so and the paint fumes from work, etc. That was a rough couple of months. Finally she came on December 22, a perfect little 7lb 11oz. miracle, with no problems at all. And from the time my water broke to when she was born was an hour and a half, it was over really quick.

I'm working on my next update. I have all the pictures uploaded, they just need words to go with them now.

I'm glad you caught up!! I was excited to read Teresa's TR because I didn't know what all they did that day!

Um, there is no ticker in your siggie. I bet it's not showing because your link/photos are big.

That's weird, I can see my ticker, off to the right of the big pictures! I'll have to look into getting a smaller one.

Mom, Tessa, Sawyer, and I are going to stay at POP February 3- 10!!! I got the plane tickets yesterday (FREE w/ frequent flyer miles)!!! I'm SOOOO EXCITED!!!

No waiting until September. I'm hoping to avoid the heat this time!

I leave my thread for a day and look what happens!! A hijacker talking about periods and such!! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Wow, what an amazing story! I bet you were pretty scared to find out you were due in 2 months!!!!

Now I have to google maps you to see how far away you live from me.

Hey, you need an avatar!!!

HeatherSue, Yep it was a mad dash to get all the baby necessities in 2 months. Luckily St. Vincents and Goodwill are in abundant supply of baby stuff. It's amazing how family's really band together and help each other out in times like that. I don't know where you live but I'm right next door to Flint, rated like #1 or 2 worst city in America. Yay vehicle city! :sad2: You're right. I do need an avatar. The hunt begins! :lmao: I was reading your response and Lily said 'Mom, look at Belle' I didn't know what she was talking about then realized Tessa's wearing a Belle dress in your siggy. Lily said 'she looks angry' I think the sun might've been in Tessa's eyes. :lmao:

I cant wait until the next update!!!!! =)
It's coming up, just for you, Cheryl! ;)

Yep, just the sun. She was VERY happy. Giddily so. But, you'll have to wait to hear exactly why!

I used to be a nanny for 2 boys that moved to Flushing. That's near Flint, right?

Can't wait to read your update! I love Tessa's Belle outfit in your siggy!!! I would love to try and find one for DD!! Now off to ebay...lol

Okay...I've been dreading writing this installment because I have ZERO notes on this day! It was a LONG day, too. So, I am going by pictures and my memory. At least the pictures will speak the truth!

We had breakfast ADRs for Chef Mickey's. I'm thinking they weren't real early, like 10:00ish. So, we didn't have to get up too early. Here we are on the monorail. WAIT! Miss Cammie shoutout- Hey! I mentioned the cattle car smell of the monorail and Henry said "That's the electric motor. They all smell like that." Now you know!! Mystery solved!! I was so happy when he told me that, just so I could tell you!

Anyway, here's Tessa and Lyddy Rose excited to eat breakfast with Mickey!

DSC08245_640x480.jpg

Here's Teresa excited to eat breakfast with Mickey!

DSC08247_360x480.jpg

Here's Casey. Guess what she's doing? Oh yeah, she's excited to eat breakfast with Mickey!

DSC08248_640x480.jpg

I've never actually been inside the Contemporary, besides on the monorail. So, I was pretty excited to be there!

We made poor Teresa lead the way again. If I would have known about her "leader anxiety" I never would have done that. I would have wandered aimlessly about, all alone, just to save her the anxiety. I'm just that kind of sister.

We waited in line for a bit until they let us in.

DSC08250_640x480.jpg

Look at Arminda! That's right, she's excited to eat with Mickey!

DSC08253_640x480.jpg

We dressed the girls and Mom (okay, she dressed herself) in their matching Mickey shirts, made by yours truly. Teresa, Corey, and Brian wore their matching Mickey themed outfits and Sawyer was wearing a Mickey shirt. I think Barbara's shirt had a little Mickey on it. David and Corey wore their name shirts, and Dad wore plaid. I felt a little left out, so I borrowed Tessa's Mickey hair thingy. Henry, remembering my "covert matching Epcot clothing operation", picked out his own non-Disney clothing. :snooty:

Here's the girls with their matching outfits. I really wanted to get a good picture of them all together, but just as I went to take the picture, they called us to the table.

IMG_1032_640x426.jpg

As we walked to our table, we passed some DEE-licious looking desserts!! I couldn't wait to fill up my plate with those babies!

The next thing I noticed was that there were lots of birds flying around. Not such a good thing in a restaurant. I kept thinking my food was going to get pooped on. Then, I kept thinking what if I got up to see a character and a bird pooped on my food and I didn't notice and then I ate bird poop. This is how my mind works, people!

I was looking forward to the whole napkin spinning thing I'd heard so much about. I was glad my family was with me and had told me about this, otherwise I would not have known what to do. I didn't hear anyone say to spin our napkins, I just saw everybody else doing it.

Sawyer wasn't having it. I suppose he felt it was uncouth.

DSC08268_640x480.jpg

But, everyone (besides the Disney-hater) got their napkin spinning groove on.

DSC08262_360x480.jpg

Tessa takes her napkin spinning very seriously. It's all in the wrist, Tessa. Thatta girl!

DSC08267_640x480.jpg

As soon as those napkins stopped spinning, we met our first character. I look over and there he is sitting with David. That's David on the left ;)

DSC08272_640x480.jpg

Goofy spent quite a while goofing around with David, it was really cute! David was so tickled by it! I guess wearing that big 'ol hot hat every day was all worth it!

He stuck around to get pictures and autographs with the rest of us.

DSCF2998_360x480.jpg

LYDIA!! Don't you love how David makes his way into most of the pictures?

DSCF3000_360x480.jpg

Mickey came to our table next and he was there and gone pretty quickly. I hardly remember seeing him. Look at Sawyer being all brave and touching him!

IMG_1058_640x426.jpg

I like this picture because I look like the tallest one there. I AM 5'4", you know!

DSCF3010_640x480.jpg

As we were rubbing elbows with Mickey, a white flash caught my eye. I turned to see who it was and Donald Duck planted a kiss on my cheek!! Oh YES HE DID!!! It was instant love, I tell yah!

Donald was the BEST! He pointed to himself on Corey's shirt.

DSCF3012_640x480.jpg

Not one to be left out, David pointed to Donald on his own shirt.

DSCF3013_640x480.jpg

I'm thinking Tessa was pretty excited because Donald just kissed her on the head!! We talked later about who Donald loves the best. I still think it was me, he did kiss me first after all. Besides, it would not be my last encounter with Donald.

DSCF3019_640x480.jpg

All right, so he kissed Arminda too. But, still...I was first. :snooty:

DSC08290_640x480.jpg

Okay, so he took a picture with JUST Teresa. But, but, but, still....

IMG_1081_640x426.jpg

Here's Lydia talking about how Donald kissed her. WHAT-EVER!!

DSCF3028_640x480.jpg

Minnie practically whizzed on by us. I noticed her when she was a few tables behind us. In every picture we have of Donald, she is in the background taking pictures with the same cute little girl. So, she stayed at that table of 3 for the same amount of time as we had Donald at our table of fifteen.

Let me just interject here, folks. We are a party of FIFTEEN!! Most are a party of FOUR. Doesn't it stand to reason that we should get almost 4x the amount of time with each character? We paid for fifteen people to get to interact with the characters. Do not glare at our big, happy, party. Do not comment on how much extra time we're getting with the characters. The characters that stayed the longest probably spent only twice the amount of time with us as everyone else. So, no, we were not getting "extra" time. Yes, this is directed at you, "Miss Lady Who Sat Behind Us Who Kept Glaring And Commenting Just Loud Enough For Me To Hear You".

Next: We're All Excited To Eat With Mickey Continued

Sheesh, reading how much I whine in my TR, it's no wonder people keep commenting on how Teresa is a little ball of sunshine! :rotfl:

Anyway, here's snooty little Minnie, too good to stop and mingle with the HoJoKi (that's what we call ourselves, yah know).

IMG_1085_640x426.jpg

IMG_1095_640x426.jpg

Look, LULO!!!! Hugs for Lulo!!

DSCF3043_640x480.jpg

As I mentioned, Sawyer loves him some Pluto. But, he was a little apprehensive.

DSCF3042_640x480.jpg

He reached out to touch him...

DSCF3044_640x480.jpg

But, he freaked himself out.

DSCF3045_640x480.jpg

At least Tessa got in some lovin'.

IMG_1110_320x480.jpg

Barbara, too!

DSCF3046_640x480.jpg

Oh yeah, we ate at Chef Mickey's, too! Somewhere in there we managed to get a few bites of a delicious breakfast. I really loved the food. My plate 'o desserts was quite nice, too! Even Henry enjoyed himself. I like this picture of Brian and Henry laughing. Aren't they the cutest?

IMG_1112_640x426.jpg

When we were about to leave, Mickey came through and stopped at the other tables again. I had never had my picture taken with Mickey unless it was in a big group and I have always wanted to. He had already been to our table, but I asked him if I could get a picture with him. I swear, if he could roll his eyes, I think he would have! He very reluctantly agreed to pose for ONE picture with me (there were several photographers, so there may be more than one version of this one picture) and then ran off. He left me there grinning all by myself. I was dissed by the mouse himself. I gotta tell yah, I do NOT love Mickey! He's just a little full of himself. :snooty:

DSC08306_640x480.jpg

We headed our herd on outta there, but stopped for a potty break first. This took a long time, but we were in no hurry. At least no one "kinda had to go." :rolleyes1

We passed a woman at a DVC stand and she was SO incredibly sweet and nice. She commented on the girls matching outfits (the first to do so, I believe) and she gave the kids stickers and coloring pages. She made sure each kid had a character they liked and everything. She was a true Disney CM! She had the Disney Magic sparking off of her! Here's how excited Tessa was about getting Ariel!

After that, Tessa spotted a whole row of squished penny machines. Today she had her money with her, so she went on over there to take a gander at her choices. After she went over to look, a little girl came over with another boy and a guy I assume was their father. The little girl said to Tessa, "Would you move out of the way. I actually have money to buy one." Of course the dad just stood there and didn't tell her not to be so rude, or tell her to wait her turn. I let Tessa take her own sweet time and pick whichever one she wanted to get. Then, the other little girl never ended up getting one anyway. The little snob! Har-umph! :snooty:

Some of the family went to the arcade in the hotel, while some of us went to the gift shop. Tessa had a hankering for some jibbitz. She had wanted to buy jibbitz for her crocs since she got the shoes, a month before the trip. She bugged me constantly about getting some jibbitz. But, I wanted her to wait until we got to Disney. So, finally, this was her chance! Did you know those suckers cost $4/each?! Wow! Talk about overpriced! But, Tessa picked out Belle, Ariel, and Jasmine for her shoes. I was overcome with Disney magic and I got myself a Cinderella for one shoe and her castle for the other. Tessa also bought a baby Marie, all wrapped up in a blankie with her Disney Dollars from Grandma.

Corey had found the huge board they had with pins in it and had traded a pin with the lady there. He wanted to trade for another pin, but there was a one pin minimum. So, he slyly handed Tessa a pin and had her trade for the one he wanted. Sly boy, he is!

Corey had already given Tessa a little Tinkerbell pin on Epcot day. She LOVED that pin! She still has that pin because she never wanted to trade it. But, she wore it on her backpack every day. She's a very sentimental girl. Teresa got her a Tinkerbell necklace on a trip to Disney a LONG time ago. Tessa wore that necklace every single day until she broke it. She was so upset because Aunt Teresa had given it to her. I think she had just turned 2 at that time. It was her first "real" necklace.

Gee, as if this TR isn't already long enough, I have to break into long, sappy stories!

We eventually made our way back to the monorail and arrived at the Magic Kingdom! I tell yah, I get teary EVERY SINGLE time I see that castle!!

I had my requisite trouble with the stupid tickets at the gate. I don't know what was wrong with those darn things! Well, partially it was the CMs. The very first CM we had said that I was supposed to use my finger for all of my family members since they were going through the stroller entrance. Then, the next CM would say that wasn't the case. But, there was nothing they could do, so they eventually would just let us through. Most of them didn't care who's durn finger they scanned. Others liked to give me a hard time first. I guess I look Veerrrrry suspicious.

I'm going to leave you all hanging until at least tomorrow. Sorry, it's late and I'm tired!

I will share this, though. Here is the FIRST picture of our whole family together on this vacation!
