Dorky Disboutiquing DiserSistas:Destination Disney HeatherSue's(best)version OVER1/27

I really enjoyed your update!! I agree that the characters should have given you guys more time at Chef Mickey's!! It is only fair!!! I LOVE the family pic!!! Waiting patiently for your next update!!

What's this updating in the middle of the night? I'm having to comment as I read along because I always miss too much stuff. The girls look great in their pink Mickey outfits! LOVE the pic of David and Goofy, too funny. Teresa can really twirl a napkin! So can Tessa, she looks like a---uhm---cowgirl. (I just can't use that term about Lukey's sweet Tessa). Okay, I was thinking Lily needed a Donald custom (which only makes sense in this realm) for our next trip, now I KNOW she does! Hmmm, Minnie was great at Chef Mickey's when we went. Sorry she was feeling :snooty: and you know it will someday be the HoJoKiLings, or the HamHoJoKis, you know, when we all live in Florida. Tessa kissing Pluto is so cute! Great photo! How dare that rude child talk like that to Tessa? I would be mortified if it was my child. My kids love those Disney babies wrapped up in a blankie! Lily plays with her Mickey baby almost every day. I meant to say this before, but your TR reminded me, if Tessa ever breaks her Luke bracelet, just mail back the pieces and I'll re-string it. That family photo is great! You made it TOO SMALL. See now, when I comment as I read along my response gets waaaaay tooooo loooong!

I can't believe you have left us hanging! I expect you will be here bright early with your writin' skillz in full force! j/k Can't wait to read the rest!

You stopped in the middle! I want more! And here I sit getting teary eyed about the castle again! I want to go back tday!

Their outfits looked great! I love checf Mickeys! I do have to say that sometimes the other guests there aren't very nice. We finally got mickey to our table and this one little girl from another table (that he visited already forever) kept coming over to our table. It was really unfair as my girls really wanted their chance with Mickey. And the parents didn't do anything until I stepped in! Still, the desserts are great there!

Waiting for the rest of the day.....

I think the sisters are trying to 1 up each other, Teresa posted her last installment in the middle of the night too!

Love the matching Minnie outfits! What cute girlies!

Gotta agree with the character theory, 15 people = ALOT of character interaction, atleast it should have! I don't want to even think about what the bill was!

Can't wait for the next part, LOVE the whole group picture!

Henry, remembering my "covert matching Epcot clothing operation", picked out his own non-Disney clothing. :snooty:

A smart man never forgets.... we just gotta be smarter girl!

The next thing I noticed was that there were lots of birds flying around. Not such a good thing in a restaurant. I kept thinking my food was going to get pooped on. Then, I kept thinking what if I got up to see a character and a bird pooped on my food and I didn't notice and then I ate bird poop. This is how my mind works, people!

OMG!!! You are soooooo like me.... only, I would've stayed at the table to protect my food from the predators!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I was looking forward to the whole napkin spinning thing I'd heard so much about. I was glad my family was with me and had told me about this, otherwise I would not have known what to do. I didn't hear anyone say to spin our napkins, I just saw everybody else doing it.

Sawyer wasn't having it. I suppose he felt it was uncouth.

A sign that the Disney Hater is wearing off on Sawyer perhaps?? WE must intervene! :hippie:

As soon as those napkins stopped spinning, we met our first character. I look over and there he is sitting with David. That's David on the left ;)

Too funny!! I wouldn't have known it if you didn't point it out! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Let me just interject here, folks. We are a party of FIFTEEN!! Most are a party of FOUR. Doesn't it stand to reason that we should get almost 4x the amount of time with each character? We paid for fifteen people to get to interact with the characters. Do not glare at our big, happy, party. Do not comment on how much extra time we're getting with the characters. The characters that stayed the longest probably spent only twice the amount of time with us as everyone else. So, no, we were not getting "extra" time. Yes, this is directed at you, "Miss Lady Who Sat Behind Us Who Kept Glaring And Commenting Just Loud Enough For Me To Hear You".

Just an example of another STUPID HEAD. We must learn to ignore the stupid heads!!:snooty:

Nice!

So let me ask, was anyone in your party excited about eating at Chef Mickeys???

:lmao:

"David is the one on the left." :rotfl: :rotfl2: Love it!

Twirling napkins - I must warn people that there is a hazard involved.
If your children are actually USING their napkins
(I know, it sounds like quite a stretch!)
you run the risk of having crumbs and pieces of food flung in your faces.

I'm not saying how I know this, I'm just saying.

Characters - We found that even if you have seen the characters once,
at most places they will interact with you again
if they make it back again.
Especially if they "forget" they have seen you before,
which usually seems to happen on the 1/2 hour,
if ya know what I mean.
wink, nudge

I like the girl's Mickey shirts, really cool.

Pooh on Henry for trying to work around the dress code.
John was much more agreeable than I thought he would be,
but,
of course,
we never let him pick out his own clothes this trip.

I'm always up before him,
so I lay out his clothes,
to prevent that moment where he goes
sleepily rummaging through the dresser,
much like a bear at a campsite,
and puts on the first clothes he finds.

Looking forward to more updates!

Another great installment.

I read this last night at about 2 am! Thank you so much. It was nice to have something fun to read while I couldn't sleep!!!

~ I hate birds. They are flying rats and I would not be able to eat food that they were flying over. I have eaten at Chef Mickey's but I don't remember them. I think I am crossing it off my list though. ...... Bird poop!:scared1: Ick!

~ I never let Chris pick out his own clothes. He doesn't even try. I am not even sure if he knows that any husbands have that priviledge so....SSSSHHHHH!:rolleyes1

Bird Hater :wave2: :ssst:

What's up with the half an update???? I BARELY got to procrastinate with that one!!!

BTW, also a bird hater! I didn't notice them at Chef Mickey's...now I'm going to have to watch out for that.

I loved the pointing out of which one was David and which one was Goofy too! Though, I always feel like a dork when I laugh out loud at a thread I am reading on here (especially when other people can hear me like at work).

My DH likes Disney and WDW but is certainly not obsessed like me and DD. He somehow though has a whole drawer filled with Grumpy and Mickey shirts which he wears all of the time because they are conveniently always on top. ;)

Love the TR (Teresa's too!)!

We are going to WDW in Sept. and having breakfast at Chef Mickeys too. You have freaked me out about the birds though, so I'm going to have to be on guard. Thanks for the warning! Also, my husband loves all things Disney so he is willing to go along with whatever anyone suggests. Our dil(disneylovinfamily) is making us matching Mickey shirts and he is very excited about wearing them! I'll post pictures when she gets them done.

Great update! We love your trip report and your sister's, too. :thumbsup2 We are two sisters and a cousin manning this username and we go to WDW together, too, so we know how much fun you guys must have with each other and how much fun your kids with their cousins. :goodvibes Also, thank you for clearing up that dreadful monorail smell! We had always been wondering why elephants seemed to be involved in that operation. :confused3 BTW, we love all the outfits you and Teresa have made! The prince charming outfit was particularly cute. :)

I had the COOLEST pair of denim stirrup pants! I wore them with my oversized pink shirt with teddy bears on it. I loved that shirt and those pants!

Um, I am very embarassed to admit this, but I wore stirrup pants as my going away outfit after our wedding reception. And this was in 1995. I thought they would be comfy on the plane. Don't tell anyone, k?

IMG_1032_640x426.jpg

Aren't they cute in their matching outfits: you did a great job on all of them! I love how you made one for your mom too. You're such a good daughter.

I loved your update, sorry Mickey was :snooty: . You are hilarious!

Can't wait to read your update! I love Tessa's Belle outfit in your siggy!!! I would love to try and find one for DD!! Now off to ebay...lol
It was a really easy outfit! I just made a peasant top, an apron, and a blue jumper.

I really enjoyed your update!! I agree that the characters should have given you guys more time at Chef Mickey's!! It is only fair!!! I LOVE the family pic!!! Waiting patiently for your next update!!
I was okay with the time most of them spent at our table (except Minnie and Mickey), but it was the glares and comments from other people that really irritated me!

Hey, I was e-mailing you in the middle of the night and then you said you would meet us in February, and then I was too excited to sleep, so I updated my TR. How's that for a run-on sentence?

I told Tessa you said she looked like a cowgirl twirling her napkin and her face just lit up. You made her day! Thanks for not using the "other" term. :rotfl:

It'll be the HoJoKiHa's. It goes in order of who's been in the family the longest. You can't go jumping to the front like that. :snooty:

Then again, it might be the HoJoKiReHa's because Arminda will probably be married to Jacob before then. :rotfl:

Nope, no such thing as a too-long response!! I really enjoy reading everyones comments!! Thanks for saying you'd restring Tessa's bracelet if she breaks it. She's wearing it right now (still has only taken it off to shower)and it looks great!! She tells everyone "my Lukey Luke made it for me".

I was thinking that picture was too small, too. I'll have to resize it.

I can't believe you have left us hanging! I expect you will be here bright early with your writin' skillz in full force! j/k Can't wait to read the rest!
Sorry I didn't live up to your expectations!!! I have to find a little time when the kids are sleeping to write some more! I was up bright and early, but with only 5 hours of sleep, that installment might have been a little zzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

You stopped in the middle! I want more! And here I sit getting teary eyed about te castle again! I want to go back tday!

Sorry about stopping 1/2 way, but I was falling asleep!

Thanks about the outfits! It was a last minute thing to make the girls the matching outfits.

It's so rude when people let their kids come to your table when it's your turn!

I think the sisters are trying to 1 up each other, Teresa posted her last installment in the middle of the night too!

I can't possibly one-up my sister! She has over 700 more views than I do, and she's 1 installment behind! Not that I'm comparing or anything....:rolleyes1

Camelotcats commented on Teresa's TR instead of mine because mine is too hard to comment on. So, I'll have to try and figure out what she's talking about.

OH MY GOSH!!!! I TOTALLY FORGOT SOMETHING UNTIL YOU MENTIONED IT!!!!
At the end of the meal at 1900 Park Fare, my Mom and Dad offered to pay for EVERYONE!!!! It was a wonderful, sweet surprise!!! They are not rich people either, so that was such a sweet gesture!

A smart man never forgets.... we just gotta be smarter girl!

He's a stubborn, stubborn man :sad2:

I know! I have no idea if I ate bird poo.

I'm hoping the February trip will bring Sawyer back tot he light side.

I know I need to ignore the stupid heads. But, Henry's just too cute to ignore! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Nice!

I was wondering, as the napkins were twirling, if anyone has ever been pegged with 1/2 chewed food and such.

Another great installment.
Thanks!

So, you've seen The Birds? :rotfl: That movie freaked me out as a kid and I haven't like birds much since then.

Bird Hater :wave2: :ssst:
Welcome to the club!!

What's up with the half an update???? I BARELY got to procrastinate with that one!!!

BTW, also a bird hater! I didn't notice them at Chef Mickey's...now I'm going to have to watch out for that.
I'm thinking if we cover our food with a napkin when we get up, we should be good to go.

Sorry for making you look like a dork! ;)

Ah yes, I like the "on top" trick. Henry will wear whatever is on top, too. I really should have thought about that on the trip!

Bird hater.... Disney hater....... there's a lot of hatin' going on around here! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
But so much Loooove, too!:lovestruc

How sweet that your DH will happily wear the Disney stuff. I put up with Henry's disney-hating because he is such a wonderful husband besides that.

A-ha! disneylovinfamily is your dil, how cool!

Great update! Oooh...so your userid has a split personality!? I'm so glad you are enjoying my TR! I love that you're all friends! You don't hear about a lot of families like that. I hope Tessa and Lydia stay close when they're adults!

Thanks for the compliments on the outfits!

Another great installment. Can't wait for more. . .
I can't wait to write more!

Um...stirrup pants in 1995!! Don't you know you were supposed to have at least moved on to leggings by then. Sheesh! If you buy Megan a pair of those hideous stirrup pants, I will never forgive you!:snooty:

Thanks for the outfit compliments!

Uh! I loved Chef Mickey's! The birds were a little freaky to me too! The food was great there, what you are able to shove in...but more from me on that later...

We went for dinner, we may have to try breakfast next time.
