Did anyone receive the doorway to dreams "dream" fast pass promotion when buying points? When we bought an AKV add-on we were told we would receive "dream" fast passes for our trip. Come to find out we have received 3 fast passes per person in our party for each day of our trip. While that is a nice perk, its nothing like they explained it when we bought. Of course I don't have anything explaining exactly what these dream fast passes were suppose to be, but it was explained to us that it would be an unlimited fast pass card for out 5 night trip. It also concerns me that no one knew anything about it when we checked in and it took several phone calls to Doorway to Dreams and several stops for me to talk to the DVC agent here at Kidani before they finally "figured out" that it was just 3 fast passes per day. It really just felt like they had no idea what they were talking about and just gave me the 3 per day because it was the easiest.

I'm curious if anyone else has taken advantage of this and what the received for fast passes.

I don't know how they explained it to you when you bought, but what you are getting sounds like the "instant" fastpasses we got when we took the tour at WDW two years ago. Each card has three fastpass uses on them and when you use them, you get a fastpass good for the current time, no matter what the fastpass distribution times are. So let's say you use one of your fastpasses for Test Track at 9:30am -- even if the fastpass signs show the current return time is 3pm, your fastpasses will print out with a 9:30am return time.

I'd take those any day! When we went on our tour, another family was supposed to be there with us, and we ended up getting theirs too, so for our family of 4 we got 8 cards, each with 3 instant fastpasses. It was great -- we used our park passes to get fastpasses for Space Mountain later in the day, then used the instant fastpasses to ride it right away. They also helped us get on Soarin' on our last day, when the fastpass return times were later than when we were going to have to leave for the airport. Oh, did I forget to mention that they can be used at any park?

Hello...
When we added on at a special promotion in Rochester NY, they offered this to us as well.
My question is: Where do you pick up these passes once we get to disney?

Correct, that is what we received. However, that it not what was explained to us when we purchased. They are nice however, but not what we were hoping to receive. Turns out between our park tickets and those, we haven't needed any more at this point.

Well, that is part of the problem. The didn't give them to me at check in even though I had emailed back and forth with Doorway to Dreams to make sure everything was all set. After waiting around for 20 mins for the manager to run to the preview center he handed me some 3 attraction passes. The concern was that no one seemed to know what I was suppose to receive and no one at the Resort or DVC knew anything about the promotion. I'm still not convinced that we got what we were promised, but at this point we leave tomorrow and its too late. The extra fast passes have been nice however.

New information: So I got a call yesterday from a DVC agent. The tickets he gave me for 3 attractions should be good for 4 days, so they didn't leave me more for today. HOWEVER! They are good for 4 days, but only 3 attractions and then they are dead. So I had to go stand in line AGAIN and talk to the front desk, no one was at the DVC counter UGH! How come they don't know what they are handing out? Anyway, finally a decent manager at the front desk gave me some "Guest Recovery" passes. These are good for any attraction for the number in your party. So I have 3 of those for today. This has been way to much work, I had to call Schaumburg several times, go down and talk to Chuck at DVC, at the front desk at least 3 times and lots of waiting for them to figure out what was going on with the fast passes. Sad that they are offering a perk that they don't seem to be delivering on upon Check-in. No one down here has any idea what is going on and many of the folks up in Schaumburg had no idea either. I can't wait to get home to look up my paperwork to see what I was promised.

If anyone else has taken advantage of this perk, please let me know how it turns out!!

Good Question! I expected to have them at the front desk, but they weren't there and it took 20 mins to find anything out. By the end of the trip they still didn't have an answer and I used a mix of solutions to get fast passes.

anyone have any recent information on this? Also, who would i call in advance to ask about this....Member Services? My Guide? :confused3
Thanks again

I would call your guide and see that they are ready for it.

So after getting back from vacation I emailed Doorway. What should happen is you should get a fast pass good for 4 attractions EACH DAY that will last 5 days. My guide at Doorway was very good and made sure we were taken care of after all our problems.

This sounds like a typical Disney promotion. Not everyone seems to always be informed of what is being offered. Usually in the end, unfortunately after a lot of time consumed, they make things right.

Can I ask who you dealt with at Schaumberg? You can send as a private message if you prefer. We bought extra points up there a couple years ago and were with friends who were new buyers. We had a heck of a time getting our referral gift. We finally received Disney gift cards for $200, but I don't think it ever got listed as a referral. If we had had a second referral in that year I doubt that we would have gotten credit for the first one. We never got the certificate to choose how we wanted to receive our referral gift we just got a priority mail envelope with a plain white envelope with some gift card in it - no letter saying what they were or anything. Our guide at Schaumberg did nothing to help us with this situation, he just said there must have been a miscommunication
