Door knobs at Music Resort....

Anyone know what type they are..... Our son is almost 2 and he can't get the doors open if they are the normal "circle" knobs but he definately can get the "s" handles open....just was curious we're already planning on bringing outlet covers....wondering if I need to pack duct tape for the doors

I've never stayed there, so I can't describe the handles, but all Disney resorts (and most hotels) have a second latch up higher on the door. Not a chain, but the same general idea. I'm sure it has a name,but I can't think of it now.

At any rate, keep that latch flipped when you're in the room and he won't be able to get the door open far enough to get out.

The latch flipped is nice, but you would still have to worry about little fingers getting stuck, because it opens just enough.

I don't remember what the handles are like. I'll go look at my pics and see if I can find one with the handle in the background.

don't know what you'd do about that. Are you using a pack n' play for him? You could pull that in front of the door.

We're using the pack n play for the baby....she'll be about a month old....I found out I was preggo a few months after we booked our trip someone suggested using duct tape for the door not the child And thanks for the pic!!

The door will have the modern equivalent of a chain, except that it's a solid, sliding piece of brass on the door jamb or something that you hook on to a little tab on the door itself. Works just like a chain but better and stronger.

No need to duct tape the door!

The other good thing is that those doors are heavy. Well, not good if little fingers get inbetween the door and the jamb, but the weight may prevent a 2y/o from getting it open to begin with.

If a two year old has enough muscle power to open that door, I think you might as well count on a career in the NFL. Those doors are heavy!

But you can also put the table in front of the door.

I just checked that picture. Right under the door knob is another dead bolt type of lock. Turn that you cannot open the door at all. The top lock can be used to flip and then open the door slightly to answer the person outside without opening the door the entire way.
