We didn't find any on Main Street when we checked on Thursday - I didn't go personally go in every store (just most), but I'm sure my oldest daughter did...we specifically talked about the jewelry store. Great day for MK on Thursday by the way - the early heavy rain and sudden drop in temp really kept the crowds thin - lightest I've ever seen during normal operating hours.

Also my youngest daughter was still there yesterday until closing (no, we didn't abandon her - she was with her school chorus performing in the Candlelight Processional) and she didn't see any suddenly appear. She just saw black ones.

I'm not saying there aren't any, I'm just saying every employee says they are disco'd and it seems like finding them on Disney properties is going to be like finding Hidden Mickeys, but without a book to help you.

That's just my opinion. I don't see any good deals coming on eBay, either...they're disco'd, the sellers know it, the black bags have a totally different character/style, Christmas is here, and people like me who just know that their daughter really only wants one gift and that's it - we will unfortunately drive the price up. That's capitalism. And compared to the Kate Spade raping I took for my wife last year, the jacked up prices on eBay will be relatively easy to swallow.

I have had one wallet in the past 10 years. 4 pairs of shoes. But I'm married twice, with 2 daughters and no sons - so I figured it out about 10 years ago...just get it - it's much cheaper than my therapy bill. She's willing to drive a 1999 Ford Escort from Palm Beach County to UCF, studies like crazy, works hard, and never complains about anything...all she wants is that purse. Just get it. Just get it...

We were also told that there were none, even in the warehouse, but we were lucky enough to find them. I had even contemplated buying an extra because I thought there might be people here on the DIS who would want it.

I don't know about the white ones being discontinued. The manager we spoke with said they would be getting more. However, she was also the same person who told us there were none on property and we found several at the MK. Maybe she was referring to the "new" style white one that another poster mentioned.

Sorry you weren't able to find it for your daughter. Wish I had bought that extra one.

Ebay has several pictures of black ones. Just type in "Disney Dooney" and you will see them.

This is really weird because I currently have a back-order with Walt Disney Merchandise for a white medium tassel tote. Hmmm...maybe I'll call tomorrow to check the status & I'll post again after I speak to them.

I just called to check on my back order for the white Disney Dooney and Bourke and still back order from when I ordered in early Nov. !!
Now they are saying the back oders won't be in till late Dec. or Jan.!! But the white is Not discountinued as someone stated. And more colors and styles will be for next year also. The black type of Disney dooney can not be orded by phone yet but I was told soon it should be but not sure when.

But I will keep my back order white bag due to the price has gone up!

I did call again and did order the black $210.00 and yes I was told instock also! yeah! It is so sad to get so much miss-information!! Ugh!

So we shall see if it comes next week like they think! or by New years for sure I was told.

I just got off the phone too and they must have some type of cracker jack operation going on there. I placed my order last Friday and was told by Marilyn they were on back order. Just called this morning and was told Marilyn messed up and they have been in all this time. Long story short, the black is on its way!

i ordered a white one through mail order and was not happy with the pattern I got. My friend went to disney the end of november and got a tote for me with a great placement. I just returned the other one. I called and they did not even ask why i was returning it. I got the ra number and just mailed it back last week and they will credit my cc. You should have no problems as long as you have all the info.

It depends on what you are talking about? There are different styles of both black and white purses........black purses are currently available in WDW and via WDW Merchandising and the white purses.......well it is being reported they are discontinued. They are available on Ebay and a few people have advertised on various threads on the Dis that they are interested in selling theirs.

hmm i purchased the small bag on Sat Dec 12th at the Grand Floridian in Disneyworld.I was bummed from reading on the boards they were solf out and there they were!! they had 3 on the shelf but when I got up there to decide witch pattern i wanted she also gave me another to look at and decide from from underneath her counter so my guess they are not sold out.. plenty of the black ones. and the contemporary hotel had some too and the small clutch. Good luck folks. editing for clarification. they had the small white bag only at the Grand on Sat.

Just to clarify the white Sketch print is reported to be discontinued as of last week (this is according to people on here and their discussions with various CMs). I myself am not sure of this, just going by what people are saying on here.

The black Wonder print purses just surfaced last week in the parks and as of last Friday they were not available by phone. Apparently they were available by phone, but some of the phone CMs were not aware and put some of us in backorder status. As of this morning, black Wonder purses are available via phone.

Glad to see they are still available. This is the exact purse my friend wants. Hopefully I'll find one this coming week. Wish me luck
