I ordered my bag, large one not the tote, Oct. 15 and was told it was backordered and would be in by Nov. 12. I was charged Oct. 18th. I called today and talked with a snippy lady, I think her name was Leora and she told me we did not know that they were going to be back ordered and you should get it by the end of Christmas. I said what? and she then said Thanksgiving. She then said, you have been charged so, you should get it in 10 to 15 days!!! Only time will tell.

So confused. I was told, and understood that it was back ordered when I placed the order and was given a delivery date of Nov. 12.

Thanks for letting me vent, just disappointed.

im a little disappointed with the mailorder too. i ordered 2 t-shirts and they finally arrived after 3 weeks and $14.95 in shipping and handling and they totally sent me the WRONG SIZES!!!! so now i have to ship them back at my own expense for the correct sizes!

If they sent the wrong sizes it should be their fault and you shouldn't have to pay for shipping or should at least be reimbursed for it. That is crazy if they make you pay for it.

yup, i just paid about $5 to send them back via priority mail when they charged me WAY more to ship them in the first place ...

i think the shipping charge is a rip off and a money grab for them.

i've ordered stuff from the states and have never paid 125 in shipping.

the latest thing i've ordered is from a photobook company in Cal. i've ordered 6 101 page books (year books) which total weight is far more then 2 little purses and my shipping cost was only $20

their excuse is that shipping is based on price - fine - but i've ordered over $200 of items from the disney shopping site and at most i've only paid $25 in shipping so where to they get off charging $125 for a purse.

i think it's an easy way for them to pad their pockets

I ordered in Oct and received an email back today that it has finally shipped! Maybe try placing an email. I am sure they are getting swamped with calls about these purses and are getting tired of answering (not making excuses for her attitude though)

I agree! i paid $50 to ship this purse to Alaska. Although that money was refunded to me they are still making a killing just on the shipping!

Email the merchandising line at wdw.mail.order@disneyworld.com and find out if it shipped or not. I ordered mine on 10/15 and have confirmed it was shipped yesterday. I bet yours is on its way too.

Again visited downtown disney.. some friends called and asked if I could buy them the famous dooneys
WOD said they had received today 100 of the larger bags and were down to 10 tonight. They had some wristlets but don't know how many. TREN-D had 50+ of the wristlets and several of the the larger bags. Neither store had the tassel bags, I asked for a friend. These are so cute!

Before I left to disney( I arrived11/12) most post here were saying they had not seen many bags. Since I have been here I have seen lots of availability at WOD as well as TREN-D. Today I will visit DHS,and see what they have. I IMAGINE as the holidays get closer, and the parks more crowded their might be less availability. OR, disney finally is getting more dooneys because of the HUGE DEMAND. Best of luck!

Just got back from the Festival of the Masters at DTD. Trend D had many of the larger totes and the wristlets. Looks like they are becoming more available than before. The cast member told me that they would soon have them in black as well. Here's a picture of some of them displayed on the wall. They had more in boxes behind the counter.

Just got back disney hollywood studios.. went to couture store next to planet hollywood and they have the bags and wristlets on display. You are able to get a close up look at them without having to ask a CM, unlike TREN-D and WOD. A very nice CM approached me and asked if he could help me with anything. I explained to him that I was looking for a wristlet with a Tink on it. He went to stockroom and brought out two for me to choose from. Odd though, I had been there 2 hours prior and asked a female CM for the same thing, and she said, "sorry all we have are those on display". Guess it depends who you ask, and if they are willing to "help" the customer. No tassel bags available here either.

I learned a couple things. First, you can use your Disney Visa card at Tren D and get the 10 percent discount. Second, WOD has one in a glass case, but the rest are kept in a back room, and they look at you like you have three heads if you ask them to take it out of the plastic so you can actually see the pattern and everything before you decide.

The other size purse isn't available anywhere on property.

I'm glad to know that I wasn't the only one that had been treated like that at WOD. I too asked to "see" the bag without the paper, and she said "we can't do that". She then informed me there was another one in the display case.. when I said "yes, I'll take the one on display"... she took off the paper on the 1st one she showed me, and that one had tink, mickey, and dumbo in front. I apologized, and said I would take the 1st bag instead of display bag. The cashier that was next to her said, "don't worry about it, and smiled", but the lady "helping" me just ignored me.
I did notice that only WOD has them in the plastic bags, TREN-D doesn't and neither does the store at DHS.

The cast member at Trend D was really nice. He let me look at almost all of the wristlets that they had hanging on the wall, and actually helped me look for one with a good Tink and Mickey. I actually decided against buying one because most of the wristlets had patterns that weren't very pretty. Some had just the balloons and maybe half of Tink's head. I'm going to wait to see what the black ones look like and decide because I think the white may turn yellow really fast. Unfortunately, D & B and Coach were like gateway drugs to more ridiculously expensive things like Prada and Chloe for me. I thought the cast member might be annoyed or upset with me after all that time, but he was really nice. It seems like he has had a lot of experience helping women look for good patterns this week. Try Trend D if you want to be able to touch and look at all the patterns to select your bag.

I'm curious. Is it leather or a synthetic (I shuttle to type plastic at these prices). I'm hoping the black is not a rumor. I'd be all over a black Dooney!

I'd love to have one of the wristlets! I'm just so picky about the placement of the pattern, I'm afraid I wouldn't like the one they would ship to me. I wish I knew someone who was going to Disney in the next couple months. I just missed one of my mom's friends
