Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 4

I recently purchased by first bag while at WDW in December; it's the sketch letter carrier. I have yet to use it, as I'm afraid that my jeans will rub off on the back. This happens to all my bags. Any recommendations? Was thinking about coating it with Scotchgard? Would just making sure to clean it regularly be okay? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I'm afraid that does tend to be a problem, especially with the white bags.

I believe someone said their local dry cleaner used a scotch guard type treatment on a backpack for them. I don't remember if they ever came back to report on how it worked, but it's at least something to consider.

I treat my leather with Lovin' My Bags products, but I've never tried to treat the coated cotton or nylon personally.

Does anyone know if you can get the haunted mansion dooney at the park?

There has been at least one additional shipment at both WDW and DLR since the initial release, but it seems you have to either have an inside source who will let you know when the bags are in or be incredbly lucky with timing because from what I can tell they still sell out super quickly.

Has anyone heard whether runners registered for the Princess Half Marathon can pre-purchase purses? Does anyone have a link for this?

I am running the race with my Mother-in-law and sister-in-law, and we want to make sure we get a purse since the Expo opens Thursday morning, and we won't be there until Friday afternoon.

There was a pre-order option, but it's no longer available. I would never dare say for certain what stock is going to look like this time, but the last couple of races there were plenty of bags available throughout the Expo and some were even around in the parks after race weekend. No promises, but I bet you'll be fine.

Has anyone seen or heard of the new Dooney It's a Small World design? I just saw one on ebay. The seller says she got it from the Vault store in Disneyland and there have only been 10 made so far. (?) I would LOVE to get one in March from Disney World! Cannot find anything about it online. Anyone have info on these?

The seller is partially correct. They are new and have only been found at Vault 28 in Disneyland, but there are way more than 10. They have been very hard to find so far, but I know someone personally who just called merchandising this afternoon and ordered one, and was told they had over 100 in the warehouse.
They have not yet been availalble online, and no one knows if they will be or not at this point.

I just saw that on eBay and I absolutely love it! It is very Disney without screaming "Mickey".

Heads up about the Small World design. Only ten were available for purchase last weekend, not ten were made. They're sold out completely. It sounds like they were put out early.

Just called Disney Parks Merchandising and was able to purchase the new Small World purse!
I actually called last night and they said they could not find anything similar, even after calling Vault 26. So I tried back today and got someone different on the phone and was able to get one! So excited! Hope it gets here soon!
