Just opened up the sketch Lucy I ordered the other day, and haven't decided how I feel about the placement. I love the castle, Tink, and Mickey on the front, but am disappointed there is no Minnie. She's completely obstructed by the handle on the side and cut off on the bottom. Not sure if this one is a keeper yet. I definitely love the style of the Lucy now that I have seen it in person. I wish it would show up at the parks so I could hand select the perfect placement. Hope the posters who said they were expecting bags today all get their ideal placement.

I like your placement! I think the front is perfect, and both sides look great, even without Minnie.

Plus, you could always order a wallet or wristlet to go inside it, and hope for Minnie that ways...

Thanks. I think that the placement is growing on me. LOL. Great point about adding a wristlet. I actually have a Minnie Wristlet, but the fabric on the Lucy is a little different. It's shiner.

I really like the placement on your Lucy, but I really like it. If you don't and you had your heart set on a good Minnie placement then you should return it. It is like my very DH said to me in Mousegears the day I picked out my very first Disney D&B "take your time, it is too much money to spend on something for it not to be perfect" we were there for an hour with 3 small kids. He was very understanding!!! So if you are not 100% thrilled with your very expensive bag then return it and make yourself happy!

I agree you DH that we should all get the perfect bag that we want for the money. The problem is that the Lucy is not available in the parks for some reason. I have been searching for one on Ebay, but haven't been able to find a good one there. I think that for the price..It's growing on me..

I got my new Sketch tote today, and couldn't help but peak at it quickly on my lunch break. I only looked at it through the tissue paper, but it looks like I have what some may think is perfect placement, with Mickey and Minnie centered on the front. I tried to think of what my perfect placement would be, and I thought it was the castle and banner, but I think that changed when I saw this. I can't wait to get a better look at it later. I will post pictures. Will it be a keeper or do I hold out and see if I find placement I like better when we are in WDW? How did I become so obsessed?

So I got my large sketch today and lets just say I didn't realize how large it was. I think it may be too big for me. What do you think?

I love the print I just think it might be too big. Thoughts

Wow, that is big! We are all so different in what we like, so it's hard to say if it's too big. As a purse, it would be to big for me, and I like them big. I think the medium tote is just right for me, seeing it in person now. If you are using it as a tote bag, and to carry a lot, then it would be a great size. Sorry, I'm not very helpful!

We all have our own ideas of perfect placement! For me, I love yours, with the Castle, Tink, the banner, and Mickey placed so nicely on the front. That's a tough one too with how small the bag is. Of course if Minnie is important to you, then you should return it to see if you can get what you want. Like many others say, for the price we pay, we should be happy. Could you order another one, and then return the one you don't like? It would be a shame to get placement you like even less on the next one.

Can I just say that you ladies are a bad, bad influence on me?

I couldn't help but catch your Disney Dooney enthusiasm, and with the sale going on, I couldn't seem to help myself. A black Mickey print tassel tote is currently on its way to me, along with some clothes for my OH and kids. I figure the best chance I have of getting them to wear Disney attire when we are there is if I pack it ahead of time, and limit their other clothes accordingly. And I love how my email from Sinsey shopping puts its... as my "Disney magic" nears my door.

And since I needed to spend $75 to get the free shipping... guess what else found its way into my shopping cart?

I debated WAY too long on what to get - but I ended up with the black Mickey print since it seems like the one I most likely to use outside WDW. And with all those colors, it goes with everything! And while I loved some of the other designs - Sketch in particular - I didn't want to fret about the placement issues from ordering online. And who knows... if I become as truly obsessed as the rest of you (and I say this with the highest respect), I may have to spend some time in August in person at the parks trying to find a perfect placement.

Congratulations on your first purchase! The obsession caught on with me very fast too! The more I looked at everyone else's pictures, the more I liked them!

So true! When I first started reading I just wanted the balloon print. I didn't care too much for the rest, but after reading through ALL of these pages, I now have the sketch print as well, and really want to get the WDW 40th print too! I'm not a big fan of brown, but I just like the history on this bag!

OMG that is AMAZING placement! Mine is good but yours is GREAT! Then again I have the first edition so the print was laid out differently to begin with.

However, I just returned from my trip last Saturday and there was not that much available in the parks or resorts (I saw maybe a dozen large totes and a few messengers TOTAL in the 40th print). You might find something on ebay. And they currently are not available on DS.com

My Cindy bag's placement is almost like that, the pattern is just a little lower on both sides. But the same.
And my large sketch tote is nothing like that! YOU SCORED!!!! CONGRATS!!!!

I am so kicking myself for not buying a 40th bucket when I was there in May!

BTW, the UPS man had a giftie for me and my niece today! The Denim Erica, the 55th wristlet (for me) and one of the last balloon cosmetic bags. Now, I'm off to Houston to celebrate her 16th birthday!

I ordered a Princess bucket bag (they were all out in WDW a few weeks ago). I've always loved the style of this bag and at that price it seemed like the time I also ordered a tonal wristlet AND my order has shipped - got the notification already - now I just have to wait and hope for placement

If anyone is still looking for a wallet, I have a brand new, still in the box, Mickey Tonal one that I'm considering posting on the Facebook page. Actually have the letter carrier and the wristlet, too. Used the letter carrier once, never used the wristlet or wallet. I'll have to look up what I paid for them, as I got them off of Ebay and don't remember offhand. Now, if I can just figure out how to post a picture!!

So I returned my Lucy bag - the size was not bad but I did not like the zipper. Even when it was fully open it did not seem open enough. I also paid full price for it. I could not pass up the sale that was just going on so I ordered the medium sketch and I just received an email that it has been shipped out. I hope this one is good. I hope I get good placement and I hope I can used to the straps. I tried this bag in WDW but was not sure about the straps. I think I will just have to get used to them. I have the 40th anniversary messanger bag and I love it but I wanted a white bag for the summer. Wish me luck.
