Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

I got the Sketch in pink and purple. I used the pink one at Christmas time while I was at the park. Now I have the purple one to use when I go in March.

I do have an admission: I do have a general addiction to purses in general.

Tee hee, I just told dh about the 40th anniversary bags. And he looked so defeated.

My love for pocket books began with the 1st edition sketch in November 2009. I saw the original thread here and had to have one during my last visit to the World. I bought the Cindy sketch (with the Dooney logo printed on the bag). Then, the tonal brown bags came out, and I bought a letter carrier from Merchandising. And THEN, I saw a thread about the 55th DL bags and that Hallowishes was offering to buy them for people , and I just couldn't pass that up, so I bought a messenger bag. Thanks again, Hallowishes! And dh thanks you, too ...

Three's not too bad, right? I turned down the wonder, princess, colored sketches, and balloon designs. I told dh I wasn't going to give into temptation. And, now I find out that they're offering WDW 40th anniversary bags. Just what is a girl to do??? Darn you, Disney Dooney! I once was happy with plain-jane discount store pocket books, but you've opened up a new world to me!

I'm really torn. I like the look of the black balloon bags online, but I'm not sure how they look in person. And those 40th anniversary bags look delightful. What do you think the chances are of me bringing one of the above home from this trip?

Ahh! It's dooney madness!! So remember I posted those two Lucy bags the other day but neither of them were really great? So I held on to the better of the two and ordered a third to see if I would get a better one. In the meantime, I decided that I actually want the Kristen 40th anniversary tote...just made up my mind last night.

So what arrives in the mail today but the third Lucy. Might as well take a look at it...and what do you know...it's freaking perfect!! I was so pissed! I was seriously cursing at it!!

So after much inner turmoil, I decided that I'm going to keep it AND get the 40th anniversary tote too!! The Lucy is really a lot smaller than I'm used to and am afraid that all my "junk" won't fit but my mom said this can be my Spring/Summer bag, when I don't have to throw my gloves and scarf in the bag and the 40th can be my next winter bag!!

In case anyone is interested in some perspective for the Lucy, here is the bag on my shoulder.

Oh one other thing about the Lucy, and I'm curious to see if anyone else had this problem with any other bags...there is threading under the shoulder strap (it's a wide band) and there were some prickly parts. Actually caught my sweater a couple of times and made the thread pull a little. It looked like glue or something in a few paces where the thread came out. I used a nail clipper and just clipped the rough parts off...hope the bag doesn't fall apart!! But I wear a lot of sweaters and would hate to have them all ruined! Not really happy about that since the bag is so expensive, thought it would be a little better quality but hopefully it's fixed!

Here are the pictures of the purses. Hope this helps. What I'm trying to show is that the Kristen is a bit taller and wider. The Cindy straps are longer, and the Cindy isn't as heavy as the Kristen.

OMG, a wallet??? I'd TOTALLY be there!

I thought that would get your attention. I took the disneyland 55th messenger and matching wallet on my xmas trip and all the CMs would comment on them. Though the wallet is a bit pricey at $175. I hope to see pics of what you buy.

OMG I'm in trouble!

You know what's really bad? I have a conference in Orlando (staying @ the Swan). Dh just invited himself and our kids. I told him that he owes me a Disney Dooney out of it. The best thing??? He's fine with it!!!! Disney Dooney, here I come (X2) !!!!

Drooling!!! We leave in just over 3 weeks, and I've been SAVING for my first Disney Dooney (bu don't ask how many Coach bags I have!)- and I LOVE the style of the Lucy just posted- is it available at WDW anywhere yet?

OMG! So just saw the DisneyLAND 55th anniversary bag...and LOVE it!!! Too bad it's DisneyLAND ....why didn't they make one like this for DisneyWORLD?!? It's EXACTLY the style I was looking for!!

sorry...sorry...okay...upon googling I saw the 40th anniversary bag...LOVE it! Not as much as the DisneyLand one though....but does anyone know if it comes in the messenger style? and can you buy it through merchandising?
