Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Just wanted to say I LOVE my D&B wristlet! !!!!!
And my sister loves hers! I'd been looking at them my previous trip in 2008 and had been drooling over them all week during my 2010 trip. I really never thought I'd ever spend that much on a bag I'm pretty strict with my money.

Towards the end of the trip we were in Epcot I was, once again, drooling over them and so was my sister. So I thought eh what the heck I know I'm going to love this for a long time and so will my sister I'm gonna buy them and I did! Best purchase ever! I REALLY love the purple they come in, purple is my favorite color, I love how vibrant they look. We were SO happy! It was a pretty magical moment.

I didn't know if this information appeared at some point in the 18 pages (I'm a little too tired now to check), but I have also seen them at Mouseworks in Epcot and the Poly's big shop downstairs.

Can I also reveal that, if you get one of the 20% off codes after buying a meal (I got them in July and December), you can use those on the Dooney stuff too.

They are not doing the 20% off codes now that I know of. We didn't get any during our trip. I was able to use my Disney Visa for 10% off.

In this picture of the bucket bag, what is the mountain/map looking design that is right above the D&B medal? I can't tell from this picture.

If I'm looking at what I think you mean, it's an Epcot symbol. Says "Epcot" and "1982" and you can see the Spaceship Earth design.

Thanks Zanna for the link to the pics. Can't stop drooling! I don't know which I would prefer, the bucket or the Kristen. I have a non Disney Dooney in the bucket style and it's a nice size for what I carry daily. I know the Kristen is quite big but it seems you get so much more space and print for just $20 more that it seems like the best value. I have a Cindy sketch tote. I wish I could see a side by side comparison of the Cindy tote and the Kristen tote to get an idea of how much bigger the Kristen is.

Here are the pictures of the purses. Hope this helps. What I'm trying to show is that the Kristen is a bit taller and wider. The Cindy straps are longer, and the Cindy isn't as heavy as the Kristen.

Hi dizdreamer.. I would love to see photos of the kristen next to the cindy sketch. I have the messenger in the 55th pattern and it is one of my favorite styles. I am debating between the bucket style or the kristen for the 40th print. But, I have heard from other disers that the kristen as you mentioned is uncomfortable due to the short handles.

Just found this post! Love, Love the Dooney and Burke Disney purses. I have a 55th Anniversary one from DL and cannot wait until I can get a 40th Anniversary one from WDW in June. Although the designs of the two are very similar, I only have a wristlet of the 55th anniversary so a 40th anniversary purse will be a good companion.

I SO love the 40th anniversary design and will be there next week! Unfortunately, none of the styles are jumping out at me. The Kristin (sp?) would possibly be nice as the bag I use to tote stuff back and forth to work, but I think I would rather have a purse I use every day out and about, and not just something that goes back and forth to work where nobody will see it . Might have to check out the bucket, but I'm afraid that's bigger than what I like also. Must check into the measurements. I'm currently using the Wonder Tassle and absolutely love the size and the handle drop. Of course, DH doesn't understand why I need another, but fortunately DD backed me up and said I need a purse for summer and a different one for winter. Me thinks DD16 is sucking up so she gets a new Dooney . NEVER should have told DH last year when we were there that if he didn't mind my buying a Dooney it would be the last purse I ever needed. What was I thinking ?

Dizdreamer1955, thanks for posting the pics of the Cindy and Kristen side by side! I love seeing the Kristen open and standing up like that. Looks so much nicer than the pic on ds.com. It's a great looking bag! I'm thinking it's going to be too big for everyday use though. Looks like you could actually fit the Cindy inside the Kristen with room to spare, is that correct?! I am probably going to go with the bucket bag. But I'll probably change my mind a million times before I actually have an opportunity to purchase one!

i bought the kristen tote in the 55th dlr pattern and i have to say, it just isnt for me. it is TOO BIG for my every day use and does not fit comfortably on the shoulder. so, i sold it and bought the messenger which i LOVE and i will most likely be buying the messenger in the 40th wdw pattern as well... is there anyone going on a trip soon that might want to get me one ? i could pay beforehand? let me know!

I finally have my very own Disney Dooney! I bought a sketch tote on Tuesday, and I love it! Happy birthday to me! I hope this isn't the start of a major obsession, but I am totally in love with the Lucy style...

I treated myself to the Sketch Tassel D & B bag when I was there on Mother's Day 2010. I purchased it at the gift shop in AKL. I also received a 10% discount because I'm a Disney Visa cardholder.

I also ordered the black Mickey Balloon satchel online for my DD for Christmas. It was her favorite gift. It better be!

My husband surprised me with a sketch purse for my birthday. I got myself a messenger and a balloon bag with the Black Friday or Cyber Monday code. Then I used my coupon at the Emporium for another messenger. Then, I really lost all control and bought a princess purse, a matching wristlet and that big duffle. And now, you lovely ladies, tell me that there's a 40th anniversary design out and one for the Dream (which I'm sailing on in 38 days)! You are wonderful, wonderful people!

The purple really is pretty, and the pink is so cute too! I thought (hoped) that they were going to come out with more styles in all the great colors. Whatever happened to that? Guess it could still happen..

There is a different style wristlet in the princess print. So far each pattern has appeared on one style of wristlet or another.
