Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Only 4 more days til i meet my new bag!

Excited for you about both the new bag and the trip. Have a GREAT time! I wish I was going. We ususally go in October so hoping my next trip is no more than six months away!

So on Saturday at Disneyland I was looking at the 55th Dooneys and DBF saw how much I really wanted one so he said when he goes down to pick up his check in Santa Ana tomorrow he's going to swing by and get me one!

I started telling DBF what to look for on the front and what kind of placement I wanted and he said I guess I'd better wait for you to get off work so you can pick it out. I'd just grab the first one I saw.

I can't decide between the Bucket Bag or the messenger. Anyone have any opinions either way?

I LOVE my bucket bag. I had the messenger, but sold it and bought the bucket. The straps are very comfortable since they are long and the size of the bag is just perfect to me. I just LOVE mine I have the Disneyland 55th and I love it so much, I think I'm going to get the same one in the 40th pattern when we go to WDW next month.

I need to join this thread because I've accidentally (haha) started a bit of a Dooney collection myself! I was never a handbag person but something about these Disney Dooneys tripped a wire in my brain, and I fear there is no turning back.

When I first bought the Mickeys Silhoutte I got the medium size tassle purse because it had a zipper. Eventually I sold that one, and then I bought the same pattern but in the tote size. I never close the "buckle" on the tote.

Well, I leave the day after tomorrow for my conference! I'm still debating on which bag I'm going to be bringing home. Unfortunately I won't have time to visit any parks, so I'll be relying on DTD to serve my needs (either that or a resort shop --- which would be better?).

Anyone hear from Tink1975 lately? I came up behind a lady at the Kroger on 96th and Houston Lake on Sunday who had a blue Mickey domed satchel and told her I liked her bag. She looked at me like I was a nutzo, lol. As far as I know, there are only the two of us in our town, and I'm wondering if it was her ...

When you type in the code "Dooney" I was just looking up that offer.
From what I can tell it is not available for the Lucy bag but was available for the other bag I was looking at.

I just found the Lucy bag after looking at the Disney website last night.
I don't own any of these bags and I so want one!

I had just printed out a screenshot of the Sketch Medium tote to get for my birthday from my husband who is also a huge Disney fan and seemed really happy to get me this bag for my birthday. I then found the Sketch Lucy which is more my style, so I just printed the screenshot of that for my husband.
He really liked the purse design so I think I might actually get one.


Does any one own both of these bags-the Sketch Medium Tote & Sketch Lucy?
How well does the tote wear compared to the Lucy style?
What is the strap length on the tote? Drop?


Right now I really torn which bag I want.

Tote (Medium) w/cosmetic bag or Lucy (which is a litte smaller) but more of a hobo style bag???

Yes, I'll admit it, it's mine. I feel bad about what I started the bidding at, but I went according to what I paid for it (20% off), and then added the fees estimates that someone posted a while back and hopefully if I estimated everything right, I'll only net about $10 unless it goes for more than the starting bid. Oh, dang, I just realized I didn't factor in the tax I paid for it. There just went my $10 profit. I'm deathly afraid I will end up losing money on this and would have been better off sending it back to Disney. I do have a second Lucy so should things go well with this, I may put the other one up. I still have the Messenger too that I'm trying to decide on whether or not I want to put on eBay. I wasn't even going to bother with putting them on eBay, but someone said it might be worth it to someone who wants to see placement rather than ordering blindly from Disney.

Your placement on the Lucy bag on eBay is fabulous and that is why is stuck in my mind So what bags did you decide to keep?? Good luck with the auction

I would be shocked if you don't get more than your asking price. That bag has AWESOME placement and I would be all over it if I didn't have one I'm happy with. The LUCY is one bag that is perfect for ebay since it isn't available at the parks yet. Don't forget to factor in your return shipping to Disney (if you haven't already) when your try to figure out your break even point. Good Luck!

Hi, that wasn't me I would not have looked at you like you were nutzo-probably would have started talking about the bags We just got back Sunday from WDW and had the best time. I have some pictures of displays I'll post later.

I have not been to that Kroger's yet. Usually, go to the one on Watson or Publix.

Downtown Disney had a decent selection at Trend but the other store(I can't recall the name right now but it's the BIG store) is sooooooo crowded that it's hard to look-at anything.

Should have some pictures up tonight-still washing clothes from trip. I hate clothes that you have to wash by themselves and remember to air dry. From now on we are getting a room with a washer/dryer!

I have ran into a few people with Disney Dooneys around here though - never alked to them about them. I do get a lot of comments from store clerks about my Disney Dream Satchel.
