Dooney & Bourke Disney collaboration ~ part 3

Wow, I can't wait to see the new print coming out Sept./Oct. Our trip is 38 days out. I am trying not to get too excited in case we have to cancel. DH's father was diagnosed with agressive thyroid and lung cancer about three weeks ago and it has been rough. The treatment plan changes daily. First they were going to operate on his thyroid. But then that scrapped that and started him on radiation. Last week he had a shunt placed in his chest to start chemo yesterday. Then yesterday all of a sudden they said they are not going to go the chemo route just yet after all, that they want him to continue radiation for a month and possibly have surgery. Is this normal for the doctors to keep changing the course of treatment every other week? Or is their something my father in law isn't sharing because he doesn't want to worry everyone? This is the first time someone this close to us has been diagnosed with cancer so we are uneducated about what is routine and what isn't.

I don't know if this is normal either but don't be afraid to question the doctors. I'm really sorry, sending positive thoughts and energy for you and your family!

I know, I told my husband he needs to talk to the doctor. The problem is we live 6.5 hours away from my in-laws and they are very secretive. (They have only told their kids, two of my father in law's three siblings and one of my mother in law's eight siblings. Everyone is sworn to secrecy not to tell anyone who doesn't know.) So I don't think they will give the doctor permission to talk to their kids but I am going to mention it again to my husband. Thanks.

Back to Dooneys. I wonder what kind of "cartoon print" could be coming out? The sketch is already kind of cartoony IMO. I am hoping for a print with any or all of the following characters: Daisy, Stitch, Brer Rabbit and Thumper!

That is adorable. I wish they sold it at the Polynesian. I would definitely look for a wristlet or something without the actual building on it since I sadly don't have any Hawaii plans in the near future.

I also have a sketch wristlet to match my med sketch bag!! LOL! I use my sketch wristlet for all my store cards (frequent customer cards) and sad to say but I haven't ever used my DCL wristlet!!!! Earlier tonight I was thinking I should've used it while we were on the cruise.....

Ugh! I am so obscessing over that new Aulani white background purse. I have tried several ways to get it and struck out all three times. I asked a FB person who lives there to get it, no response. I called the mail order and they said you had to be a resort guest for them to order it for you. I contacted an ebay seller who is selling pins from the grand opening of the resort and he was willing to go today and get the purse for me, for $495, when the purse is $220. I think that is a bit much for profit
Okay, I am obscessing and I really wish people wouldn't tempt me by posting these things until they are more readily available. I love that purse and it is discriminating of Disney to not let us all enjoy it. Where is that making a magical day for me!They know how to get us. I feel like an addictThis is sad, sad, sad. The only bummer about this is they raised the "sale" price on some of the sale Dooneys. So it's not as good a deal as it could have been. Love the Dream satchel but I've never been on any of the Disney cruises!

I have the Dream tote and have never been on Disney cruise either, but the tote is adorable and I love it. I say go for it! Of course this is someone who just confessed absolute addiction to these things

How did you get yours? Did someone hand pick it for you or did you order at ds.com? Placement seems important on the Dream print.

Ebay, and I got it for $225 on bid. It was one of those few deals I have gotten on ebay. I think it retails for $295? I agree, placement is important and I waited awhile to get the right one.

The only thing I don't like about the Aulani sketch is that the color appears muted. I wonder if it is more vibrant in person? Oh, and I wonder if there are other styles other than the two Aulani bags posted here?
