Wow, I can't wait to see the new print coming out Sept./Oct. Our trip is 38 days out. I am trying not to get too excited in case we have to cancel. DH's father was diagnosed with agressive thyroid and lung cancer about three weeks ago and it has been rough. The treatment plan changes daily. First they were going to operate on his thyroid. But then that scrapped that and started him on radiation. Last week he had a shunt placed in his chest to start chemo yesterday. Then yesterday all of a sudden they said they are not going to go the chemo route just yet after all, that they want him to continue radiation for a month and possibly have surgery. Is this normal for the doctors to keep changing the course of treatment every other week? Or is their something my father in law isn't sharing because he doesn't want to worry everyone? This is the first time someone this close to us has been diagnosed with cancer so we are uneducated about what is routine and what isn't.![]()
I don't know if this is normal either but don't be afraid to question the doctors. I'm really sorry, sending positive thoughts and energy for you and your family!
