well i have to chime in here. i am so glad you all brought up this topic. i have been holding off on the princess tote for the same reasons the OP said and now i feel so much better about buying one! my ds is off to college this year too and i was worried about being too old for this pattern. a great big thank you to all who commented. i am off to find this princess tote! ps, i love disney and dh goes along with it to humor me. now i have to convince him it's ok to go back to wdw without a kid in tow. wish me luck

i know there don't seem to be princess totes around e*bay right now. maybe some will show up. i don't think they had them during the ds sale either, but i did order a wristlet then. i don't think i could pay over retail either. nope. guess patience is the word here. i tried a dooney bucket once and it was wayyyy too small for me. probably ok if you are petite and don't carry a lot, but the strap drop was pretty short as i recall. ah well, here's to all the princesses out there and hope everyone finds their perfect dooney tote

Does anyone know how much the discount typically is at the outlet stores? Also, I know I asked this question awhile back, but wasn't too serious in purchasing at that point. We are on our way home from WDW right now and have been researching for the past 5 hours or so. Can someone help me find the "right" bag for me? I would like it to zipper or have a secure closing (living in Chicago, I like the extra security, especially on public transportation), and be large enough to fit an iPad, wallet, cell, and keys. Fitting over my shoulder is a plus. I really love the sketch the best. I was looking at the Lucy, but I don't think it would fit the ipad. Anyone know? I kind of glanced at them at WDW and saw that the medium sketch would fit the iPad and have plenty of extra room, but I didn't really pay attention to the closure or the shoulder strap. I knew I would be asking for one at Christmas so I didn't spend time at the parks looking if I wasn't planning on buying. Now I'm kicking myself to not research while I was there. How secure is the medium's closure? Is the large tote HUGE? I've heard people compare it to a diaper bag. Also, can someone direct me to the FB page link? The one I tried just got me to Facebook.com. I am so jealous, I just noticed your going to the world in a little over a month. Wow, we are going in Jan. and that seems so far off. Although I would love to go soon I don't think I could take the heat, or so I tell myself. We are celebrating our 20th ann. soon and we went to the world for our honeymoon but we are possibly going this Sept or Oct to Disneyland to celebrate it, ALONE. I have never been to the California Park. I so hope we can work it out. Anyway, Enjoy your soon to be trip

Hi, the medium tote sketch has a closure in the middle on the outside but it has side snaps so it closes securely. It does fit over the shoulder easily. I love mine. Not huge but holds alot. I live in Kenosha, Wisconsin and go to Chicago a fair amount and understand the security issue esp on the public transportation. Keep us posted on what you end up getting. I think the one you have is actually considered the larger tote. The medium is the Cindy style which also has a buckle type closure in the middle but no side snaps. The handles are much shorter and more comfortable to carry as a true hand bag or over the arm, rather than the shoulder.

Hi, I do have the medium and the large. The medium has snaps. I just went up and looked. It matches the medium tote of the cruise one which also has snaps. The large sketch has side snaps that double it up and makes the top a little smaller. The medium just closes on the ends with snaps. I carry my medium tote over the shoulder all the time. I am not big across the shoulders but it carries over the shoulder well. If you go to the Disneystore website both purses are on there and the one medium for $195 does state it has side snaps. Again, I carry it on my shoulder all the time. The straps are harder in nature but it works on the shoulder, for me.

i know you prefer the sketch pattern, but the mickey wonder tassel tote has a zipper, fits over the shoulder and should hold an ipad i think. i have one and it is a really practical bag. also, it has the rainbow zipper which i like.

HI! I have the medium sketch and the wonder tote and my ipad fits in both. I'm not sure if the snaps on the sketch would close with my particular case. The sketch will comfortably hold my ipad, wristlet, iphone, keys and not too much more. I believe the ipad stands in the wonder tote (and the 40th bucket). I can't carry too much more in the bucket than in the sketch. My personal favorite when carrying the ipad is the Susannah balloon tote. You can really carry everything (I live in NY and NEED to carry water when taking public transport). There are pics a couple of pages back of the large sketch on mommytoallgirls' arm. I keep thinking I want that one then I see it and it looks huge! The Susannah doesn't seem so big...

Oh yes, you're right, I stand corrected! I had forgotten the snaps because I've been using my tonal Mickey Champsac lately. All this talk has me thinking of going and switching to my sketch bag for tomorrow.

I do the same thing. I read about someone and another purse I have and then I get out that one and start using it. It is another good reason to be a part of this group. It makes us use all of our purses and enjoy them all. I being such an addict have so many I need to organize how to use them so they all get equal time

wow, this thread has been active about princesses the past few days. I have been gone dealing with a daughter who had an allergic reaction, thankfully she is better and got to participate if festivities last night and today! Anyways, I am excited tomorrow I get my tonal mickey wallet and sometime this week I should get my sketch tote and harvey Minnie bag!!!!
