Dooney & bourke Disney collaboration part 2

I got one for my daughter. It is much cuter than I thought it would be. I keep telling her that I am going to borrow it one day.

I am not sure I like the idea of the "fuzzy" lettering. Do you feel it is holding up and still looking good?

Too bad the white has a reputation for turning yellow. That's a lot of money to spend on a bag that could possibly discolor.

That is what I was thinking too..it's hard to have a bag like that in white and keep it clean. I scored an overnight bag just like it at the Coach outlet in the signature black for $150...and it was close to a $500 bag.

My daughter doesn't use hers too much, not as an everyday bag or anything, but the lettering still looks nice. I was worried about that too. It feels really nice though, and I like how the denim is soft. The bag has a good weight, if that makes sense. It's comfortable.

Ditto - I got a "Mary" E-mail too - she must be one busy lady!
I didn't know my tag was missing 'till I got the E-mail - I kept the bag in the plastic it was shipped in & wrapped it up that way. Now I hope the tag gets here before Christmas or I'll have to give the "plan B" gift instead of the balloon wristlet ........ which I'll "unfortunately" just have to keep for myself!

so, i got another email from disneys presidential customer service saying that would like to speak with me. i told them tuesday would work for me ..so i will let all my friends here know what happens!
i have become so dissatisfied with their website i wish they i could boycott it completely however they really have a monopoly on their merchandise!
two weeks ago, i ordered a 9" limited edition vinylmation and it arrived MISSING ITS HEAD! i am so fed up with them!!!

I know at least one DIS'er here bought her balloon bag at Disney World and wonder if she has gotten the same "Mary" e-mail those of us who bought through Disney Shopping have been receiving It will be interesting to see how long it takes to get our hearts

southie chick, I love the way you are willing to make the sacrifice and keep the balloon wristlet for yourself I am curious as to how you are supposed to attach the heart medallion on the wristlet It will be very easy to put the medallion on the straps of the bags But when I look at my Wonder wristlet, the duck medallion leather piece has a metal part that goes right through the side of the wristlet as this is where the hook for the detachable strap is Please let us know if there is any information about that when you get your heart

Wish they had the balloon print when I was at Downtown Disney last month - THAT would have resolved all this "trouble"!
Just grabbed both my sketch & balloon wristlet to do a "stare & compare". The balloon wristlet has the loop to put the medallon on, but when I look at the medallion ....... it has no "cut" on the medallion (like a keyring has) to attach it to the leather loop. Plus, the loop is "bolted" to the bag so I can't just unsnap the loop & put the medallion on. So, I may have to get in touch with Disney or Dooney once the medallion arrives to see HOW I'm supposed to attach it.
The other "problem" is, if I have to return the wristlet (if I'm not able to attach the charm), will they "make" me return the cosmetic bag I also got since it was a "promotion" (but I paid for it). AND they don't just sell that individually, so I can't just order another cosmetic bag & pay for it. Plus, my return slip says any returns must be postmarked by 1/03 so I HOPE the medallion gets here soon. This should be interesting .....

i know RIGHT?! I cant believe ds.com sent me a snowglobe limited edition vinylmation WITHOUT A HEAD! And even when they allowed me to return it (vinylmations are generally not allowed to be returned) i couldnt get another one coz its SOLD OUT!

My co-worker had some issues with DS.com this year as well. She ordered a doll that arrived with a huge black streak across her entire one side of the face. The doll box was also all busted up on one end (while the shipping box was perfectly fine). Makes me wonder what the heck is going on!!

On a side note...I'm going to WDW in November, and am hoping to get the balloon wristlet, but I'm still so undecided as to what bag I actually want. Reading all the posts from you guys is helping A LOT! keep them coming!! Thanks!!

well I spoke to someone at merchandising and she said "in all the pictures, there aren't any hearts on them, maybe ours just aren't suppose to come with them" I told her how they are in the description on disney shopping online and they are now sending them out. She said maybe it's just made for them....I didn't say this..but it says on they are, made excusively for wdw and dl resorts. so how would disney shopping have them on it and not wdw. Anyways, honestly I hadn't even taken mine out of bag to check it until I stumbled across this thread. I didn't even notice at wdw and would have noticed when I was loading it up.

So she is giving to her manager to research and said it may take a few days to get back to me. I really hope that they do get back to me.

On another note, I shipped somethings back on the 10th and called today to see if I could get a tracking number (called a 2nd time) the person I got was snippy with me saying there is no way, it takes 10-15 business days and it's only been six. I specifically asked when shipping if I would have intime for Christmas..there are probably 10 presents in there for my kids! Anyways she came back w/shock in her voice stating I'd have it tomorrow. I said that's great, because I had asked when I shipped and they said I'd have intime for christmas. But the attitude I got, it was like I was bothering her. When she put me on hold to look it up she said "I doubt it, but I'll check anyways".

My last conversation with a DS CM involved her repeatedly saying "We don't have no (fill in the noun of your choice)...". Obviously a good command of the english language (and I'm not talking about foreigners) is no longer important.

You might want to call Dooney. I found them very helpful. They did ask whether I got it online or in a store though. At which point I think it begs the question, "Why are these the only bags that do NOT come with some sort of Dooney Medallion?" I suspect it's either cost cutting or Disney wanting less of a Dooney presence on the bags. I think either way they greatly underestimated the consumer.
