Thanks Kurby and Rachel. :goodvibes

Their rating is 99.7. I don't see the duck medallion and now I notice there is a glare on the pic. Is it from light or is something on the purse? I dunno, I think I'll pass. Something tells me to wait.

What type of bag are you looking at? I think the DL55 wristlet does not come with the duck. There's someone on ebay who's giving duck charms with a Buy It Now only.

Is the letter carrier large enough to put a camera in? I do not consider my camera "pocketable", and although it doesn't have the large protruding lens, it does take up some space. Due to having 10X zoom, it isn't quite as sleek and thin as most compact cameras. Whatever bag I end up with needs to have space for my camera. I won't likely carry much in it besides that, but want to make sure that it will fit before buying. Thanks for all the info.

I think you may want to go bigger, the messenger size probably. In my letter carrier I was hard pressed to fit my very tiny camera, very thin card-holder type "wallet" and phone. The LC is flat, I guess that's the reason for the name--it's meant to carry letters! LOL

I just got my second LE DL55 cosmetic bag in yesterday! YEA!
It was a second chance buy at $110 and had a better placement than the winning bid of $113.

My first one I got for $128. I reaaaaaaly wanted it, ladies.

I ended up paying $315 for my $270 DL55 Tote, but I don't go out to CA much, so to me it was worth every penny and the seller had great feedback.
(turned to be the same seller on all three items! LOL)

anyways, both of those cosmetic bags are in my glass case. They are my collectables, not to be used. :cloud9:

LOL!!! :rotfl2: You are sooo like me!!! I don't even WANT to use my 55th tote, and I joke with my husband that I should put it in a glass case, he thinks I'm crazy!!!! Glad someone else does it!!!

Hi, if it for some reason was a fake-I have not looked at the listing but you would be covered by Paypal buyer protection. Even if the bag arrived not as described you would be protected. I sell a lot on eBay and I put no returns but I have done them. Some of the reasons were pretty stupid-example: a woman won an almost 20 year old Vera Bradley purse that was stated as used for $6.50 and when she got it she right away sent me a nasty email. What do you expect for a purse that old that has been used some? So, I refunded just to not have to deal with her.

Just be careful who you buy from and read about the buyer protection. I hope this helps some. I doubt they would have Disney fakes but you never know.

If they won't give you more pictures then I would find a different seller. It only takes a few minutes to send pictures.

Rachel

PLEASE never think that PayPal cares about protecting ANYONE but PayPal.

If the seller takes the money and runs and PayPal can't get it back you will be told "too bad"

I quit doing Ebay because of thier reliance on PayPal. Do some researech.... your puchase arrives in pices... well you got it says PayPal LOL!

I totally agree about this. If the money is not in the sellers account there is no way they can refund your money, even if they wanted to.

Hello all!

I just stumbled on this thread and can't believe how much I want a Disneyland 55th Anniversary bag. Since I live in NJ, does DL have merchandise phone orders for these bags? I would be interested in the Letter Carrier bag or the Wristlet. Does anyone know what the prices of these would be? If it isn't too too bad, I'd go up to the Messenger Bag. I am trying to play it conservative since I already had plans to get a sketch bag and a black princess bag in a couple weeks while at WDW.

Thanks in advance for the info!

I have had an exprience where the seller became a no longer registered user and I got my money back-all of it. Jeez-Do some research? In fact, I have gotten my money back on at least 2 or 3 items that I never received.

Not sure if you can do it over the phone...

wristlet $70
lettter carrier $155
messenger $255
tote $270

I do believe that the letter carrier is still sold out at the parks (someone local, correct me if I'm wrong) so your best bet is ebay for that.

Wristlet is $70
Letter carrier is $155
Messenger is $255
Tote is $270

They weren't taking phone orders when the bags were first released last month, but they might be by now.

Vault 28 finally got a new shipment in this weekend! :woohoo:
The CM I talked to said they just put the letter carriers out this morning, and they had been blowing through them like crazy. In the 10 minutes I was in the store they sold 5 of them! He also said he wouldn't be surprised if they completely sold out again. I have no idea how true that is though.

Of course WOD also had letter carriers in, and the CM there was great about going in back and looking for a specific placement for me.
(think they've been reading our thread? :lmao:)
It's much easier to do that with the letter carrier because you can see the front placement without taking off any of the packaging.

I assume stores in the parks have them in too, but no pass for me right now, so I couldn't check that.

It looks like I will have an extra letter carrier though, so if someone is looking for one, shoot me a pm and I'll send you pictures of it. No mark up of course. I'd rather pass it on to a Dis-er than list it on e-bay.

Just an update:
Was at DTD in Orlando yesterday and both TrenD and WoD had all the purses in all the colors. Over at Epcot MouseGears only had the pink Minnie, the Mickey faces and the tonal.
I was good and didn't buy the colored sketch. I'm holding out hope WDW will do a 40th anniversary print.

Ok! Just found this thread and have to have the DL 55 messenger bag! Anyone know the telephone number to phone orders so I can call and try and get one or does anyone have any other suggestions other than eBay?

Thanks everyone in advance!

I have examples and I was ripped by PayPal! Sorry! But I won't back down on this one. They are only interested in protecting PAYPAL! LOL! (Litereally my puchases arrived in 10 pieces... Seller "I sent it" PayPal "you got it. we don't care that it's broken" End of transaction

I have a friend who paid top dollar for a fake purse. Seller "it's real" PayPal "you got the purse" End of transaction!

I have had people return items to me and paypal always refunds them (even if I disagree with the return:rotfl:). Likewise I have returned items. I think the key is to return the item. I usually return with signature confirmation once the item has been returned to the seller I give them the opportunity to refund my purchase if they don't want to do that then I file a claim with paypal and provide my tracking information and signature confirmation, going this route I have never been denied a refund. Granted I've only done this twice but it has worked in my favor. If you read paypal's rules and follow them to a "T" you will be protected. I purchase items all the time on ebay with no concerns at all. Back before the economy took a dive I sold gymboree on ebay and made a pretty good living doing it. I've never had a problem that could not be resolved. Just do what your comfortable with and definately take time to look at a sellers feedback, I would never purchase from a seller with multiple negatives.

Tina, THANK YOU!!!:thanks:

I agree with you and that has been my experience as well. I never buy from a seller with a lot of negatives either.

There are some very good eBay sellers that sell the Disney Dooney and Bourke. One of them let me buy on the side and even picked up some flip flops I really wanted. I had bought some last time I was at Disney but they needed to be replaced.

I am curious to see if they release a new pattern before Christmas. We are going to WDW the week of Christmas and I want the discount from either the counter service coupon or if they have a discount for AP holders. I am taking my two kids without their dad-this will be an experience. Luckily, my dad lives close by and he is meeting us there. Thank God for grandparents:worship:

Husband leaves for Afghanistan in 8 days:sad1: Please keep him and all of the other Americans over there in your prayers. After what happened to the American doctors I am even more nervous.

Have a great trip!! That sounds like a blast!

I have had ebay sellers accomodate special requests for me as well. Their definately are some bad seeds but I'm comfortable saying that atleast 98% of them are legit! With all the buyer/seller protections implements within the last few years paypal is very secure.

I'll keep you DH in my prayers. My cousin is getting married Sept. 5 and then leaves for a 1 year deployment a couple of weeks later, he'll be in Iraq.
