Oh, yes!!!!! I had a Birthday Cake made for the girls at the CR and it was
Dooney & Bourke themed Sketch Cake!

Some ladies in the restaurant even figured what it was and loved it! Wanted to know how to order it and the Minnie bow and all!

Was thinking of all of you ladies when I was eating it!
(ha! Cause it was the same time the DL purses were being SOLD!!!!)

OMG!!! That cake looks fabulous, I bet it was soooo good!!! Everytime I've order a cake from WDW for a special occasion they have been the absolute best cakes ever, so good. My mouth is watering.

They don't even know what D&B is over there.
A couple of ladies have posted some nice things about the bow and the coconut though.

I actually saw it on the cake thread first, just haven't commented yet, I LOVE it!!!! I hope when I order one for next month mine turns out as well. I don't think my DH would care for a Dooney anniversary cake though LOL.

i really cant believe the yellow is the best selling in the colored sketch or though i must say, ive done my research on ebay and it seems the yellow sketch messengers have the BEST placement so did the merchandiser say when or if larger bags would be available?

I love the cake, what a great idea!

I'm also a bit surprised about yellow being an early top seller. It's funny though, what I thought would be my favorite color from looking at pictures definitely wasn't once I saw the bags in person. Who Knew?
Of course I haven't found a pattern placement I like on my new favorite color, so I'm still looking.

It would definitely be nice to have an in with someone high up in merchandising. I keep trying to get straight DB answers from CM's here on the West Coast, but to no avail. I don't think it's because they're witholding information, I think they honestly just don't know. It would be nice if they'd stop giving out misinformation though.

As of yesterday no new stock of letter carriers in the DL 55 pattern yet, and that's the only style that sold out, at least so far, from the initial shipment.

Every color of the sketch pattern in both letter carrier and wristlet was back in stock though, and they were supposedly sold out for awhile too. Go figure.

That cake is amazing and a great deal for the price you paid.

I can't wait for our trip next month so I can finally pick up on the purses for myself although deciding which one could be a very complicated procedure

I was in Dunkin Donuts today when the woman behind me complimented me on my Cindy sketch tote. I thanked her of course, then my 8yr old son proceeds to tell the woman "it's a Dooney & Bourke". She was surprised that Dooney made a Disney bag. I of course told her they made several different kinds. At this point my son pipes in that they make "a bigger one, a smaller one and some with different patterns". Then he told her "They cost a ton of money."

Needless to say, I was shocked to see how much my son had picked up on my obsession!

I have lurked on this thread since the very beginning....so I want to join the group, say hello, and tell you all that..

my name is Patty, and I am a disney dooney addict!

I got my first dooneys back in January with a 20% AP discount...I was only going to get a wonder tassel until a CM came in and told me the significance of the sketch #1, so I got the cindy too!

I went back in May with full intentions of walking away with a faces bag, but after looking at them, I couldn't bring myself to purchase one...the quality didn't seem to be as sturdy and I read on here that someone's strap had fallen off (on a tonal) and it turned me off. I was tempted by a Harvey bag as well, but DH didn't like it and I was iffy so I let that one go as well. I am, however, totally in love with the DL 55 messenger and I am patiently waiting for them to add it to their website (I figure they would be stupid not too, so I'm trying to be patient)

Anyway, the important part that I wanted to share was that I spoke to a manager at TrenD back in May and asked her about future styles. She never mentioned the new color sketches that are out now, so this release was a surprise to me, but she said she had seen concepts and photos of all kinds of merchandise with the sketch print, ranging from umbrellas to sneakers. Just wanted to add fodder for the fire girls...I meant to break that news earlier but I can't log on with my phone (I read updates on this during my commute) and I kept forgetting at home/work....

Just want to thank all you ladies for sharing your love of disney and fine handbags!!! I take comfort that I am not alone!

I know!! I'd love an umbrella...and can we get some sneakers, I'd totally rock some little Disney converse type shoes. But only if they aren't kinda goofy, they could go seriously wrong with those. I'm totally going to ask a manager about any updates on those when we are there in October!

Disneyshopping has broken down the Dooney collection into groups: The Sketch Collection, Tonal Collection and "other Collections" which has the pink minnie and the Wonder pattern.

I'm surprised that Tonal has it's own group and Wonder does not. Also makes you wonder if they're getting ready to add new bags....

I'm surprised that Tonal has it's own group and Wonder does not. Also makes you wonder if they're getting ready to add new bags....

hmm... that is interesting and WEIRD that the wonder doesnt have its own group . in january when i was at WDW in the Grand Floridian a CM there told me that wonder was going to be a limited time collection and only the sketch would be permanent. maybe that is why? I hope they add new bags soon!
