Hawky7, THEY CAME!!!!!!!!
I LOVE everything!!! Oh my goodness sake!! The hat is WONDERFUL! But I honestly not sure if I love the hat or the box more!!!My Dooney wristlets are adorable!!! My daughter and I both LOVE them!!!
Thank you!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Now I want a messenger.![]()
Uhhh yeah what everyone else has said. California is required to put it on basically everything!! They have it on walls in hotels, in parking garages, I'll admit the first time I saw it, I freaked, then we lived in San Diego for a year about 4 yrs ago, and it's on everything...so don't worry. Cali is crazy like that. And yes the Boy who cried wolf is a perfect representation of the whole causing cancer thing!!!
Almost everything here in CA has that warning. It's like the boy who cried wolf, hard to take seriously. I might be concerned if I were planning to ingest my handbag. The greater issue is probably with the workers in Mexico who handle the chemicals.
So true, couldn't have explained it any better.
OK, I'm back with my Disney Dooney report, as promised.
Hawky7 was 100% correct when she suggested sticking with Vault 28 for your Disneyland DB shopping if you want to pick out specific pattern palcements.
World of Disney had DL 55 bags in a display case today, so I asked a CM if I would be able to choose one that "spoke to me". She looked at me like I was crazy and said she'd be glad to get one from the back for me, but it would be sealed in plastic and wrapped in tissue and none of the packaging could be removed before purchasing it.
When I got to Vault 28 I made sure to mention how much I appreciate their shop and compare policy on DB bags. Another lady heard me, and she said she found a bag with the exact placement she wanted at a store in Disneyland, but the CM told her she couldn't have it; she would have to buy one that was sealed, because no one who spends that much money on a handbag wants other people touching it. She told the CM she would much rather buy the display bag, even though it had been handled, and know she was getting a pattern she liked, than spend that much money on a mystery bag... but it was a no go.
What do you guys think?
Personally I guess it would be kind of nice to get a bag no one else has handled, but not if it means not being able to check out the pattern placement.
The stray letter carriers Vault 28 brought out today were wrapped in plastic, and I probably could have picked one out without unwrapping it, although the big sticker on the back didn't help; of course I didn't have to since they unwrap and display them. But no trying to pick one out through plastic and tissue.
Uhhh - wasn't the purse handled when someone at the factory PUT IT IN THE PLASTIC??

ughhh that is the dumbest thing ive ever heard! you cant buy the display bag??? they cant unwrap another one for the display??? LAME! I work retail and the customer is ALWAYS right![]()
If you didn't like the placement on the wrapped bag once you unwrapped it, couldn't you keep exchanging those bags for one that you liked?
The messenger I got for someone was totally a Display bag!!! She looked at me more weird when I told her I wanted 3 more from the back to compare it to!!! And when she said, well what are you looking for I just looked at her and go, not sure, I'll know it when I see it! HAHA, then of course the display one was the best, it hadn't been on display even the entire day, so I took that one. And I also opened all the other plastic bags. That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard... Maybe a bunch of bitter cast members, not sure, but I didn't run into any of that when I bought the last messenger at the Watch Store on Main Street.
I do wonder if it had something to do with it being at World of Disney, since they are SOOO insanely busy compared to the other stores...I have no clue, I'm just grabbing at anything I can come up with them to treat you like that. So sorry!![]()
You are sooo very welcome!!!I know exactly what you mean about the hat box!!! Gorgeous right?? And it matches the new dooneys!!! I love it! You should have seen the look on my face when I saw that they had some left, the cast member was like what, what is wrong, and I'm like Ohhh myyyy ggooosshhhh, I thought these were completely sold out! She had 6 left and I bought 2
made my whole day! I knew you would love them! You seem to get my DL obsession, so I knew you'd be just as excited!!! Yay!!!
