Can I use Disney Gift Card to purchase park tickets online? TIA
Yes you can. The only thing I couldn’t book with gift cards was the dessert partyCan I use Disney Gift Card to purchase park tickets online? TIA
Yes you can go to Disneygiftcard.com and combine the gift cards to one card up to $1000. If you have more than one $1000 to pay with you may need to call
If that card has ever been out of your sight (like paid for a table service meal) you are risking compromise. Gift Card funds are not legally protected, even if registered on the website. You can file police reports for funds that have been drained and then go to Disney to try to get the funds back but that rarely works out as they are usually long since spent and non-recoverable. Recommended procedure from those who use gift cards often is to kill the physical cards you use on your trip when you get home and order fresh cards from shop disney or retailer of your choice. This way way if anyone took a pic of your gift card without your knowledge and they try to nab the funds in the future they're out of luck....I have a pretty old physical GC I use as my main payment source while I'm in the parks, I go to the GC website and transfer to that card as I purchase the digital amounts...
Interesting. I’ve never had that issue. What do you recommend as an alternative? I have several older gift cards I’ve reloaded over the years, not just the one.If that card has ever been out of your sight (like paid for a table service meal) you are risking compromise. I buy physical GC form Disney store to transfer my funds to. $25 ones. After I take one on a trip and use it I trash it and start with a new one. The cards from Disney store are all a fun print making them easy to keep track of, and they are all hard plastic.Interesting. I’ve never had that issue. What do you recommend as an alternative? The new Disney gift cards are flimsy and terrible quality. They need to find a way to add to Apple wallet or something. I also think they ought to have tableside POS for payment like in Europe.
I may try that next time. The recent physical card I got was a Christmas gift and while technically plastic, I guess, it was flimsy.I buy physical GC form Disney store to transfer my funds to. $25 ones. I buy new cards from the Disney Store online with the minimum $25 load after I finish a trip. Don't think I've ever gotten the cardboard crap from them but if one design were to come cardboard I'd just order a different design. If you order a couple cards at a time like I do just pick different designs for each card.Interesting. I’ve never had that issue. What do you recommend as an alternative? It does not get you that 5% like Target. It's just the cost of doing GC deals for me. I do try and buy when there is a deal on one of my credit cards quarterly for 5% back via PayPal since they take PayPal.So you’re paying for everything using $25 increments or am I misunderstanding here? I know you can transfer from card to card. How are you keeping track of everything?
Also the Disney store online doesn’t give you the Target 5% off and when I’m buying $500 at a time, it’s a nice discount.
No need to carry 18 cards, are you spending $18,000 per trip? It's much less of a hassle to use a new card every trip than try to recover stolen funds that is for sure.Hmmm. I’m of course paranoid now. I’m glad I understand this better. However 3 trips since 2022 using only this GC to pay for everything and it’s been ok. I used it for 17 days in January this year and then for a day at DL in early Feb.
But, I’m all for security so I need to figure out a method here that’s more secure. I’m not going to carry 18 different cards around with me though.
I guess I’m not following your method. You mentioned continually buying $25 GCs. I am confused lolNo need to carry 18 cards, are you spending $18,000 per trip? It's much less of a hassle to use a new card every trip than try to recover stolen funds that is for sure.
You can go on the Disney Gift Card website and combine funds from multiple cards up to a max of $1000 onto one card. So I think that what PP is doing is buying a fresh gift card from Disney Gift Store and then transferring balances from other gift cards on to the fresh one.I guess I’m not following your method.
