Jimmy Buffet's band,the Coral Reefer Band,will be opening for the Doobie Brothers on their Tour.

Has there ever been 2 bands whose names go together better!?lol

I suggest it be called the "FIRE IT UP Tour"!lol

A long time ago, I had to explain to my mom that The Doobie Brothers are not, in fact, brothers. Well, they are brothers - brothers in doob! My mom can be naive sometimes.

We were big fans of the Doobie Brothers in the 70s, I think we have been to 5 retirement concerts. Here they go again. To see these old bands with pretty much all new performers is just not worth the money, we now prefer Tribute Bands.

This tour of the Doobs is about as authentic as any band from that era still touring with Johnston, Simmons,McDonald and McFee.

But I agree,in general,most bands from that era are,in essence,Tribute Bands.

For example,Three Dog Night is now One Dog Night.lol

We still pay for earth wind and fire, 3 remaining members including the lead singer, they have a great show
