I will explain, i was rather annyoed and taken a back to that i did not react at the time.
DD i went to the local value supermarket i won't name it.

We picked a loaf of bread and some tea bags, whilst at the till DD (6) took my money frm my hand £5 note, i let her as nothing unusual there, anyway i turned around and saw a bottle of flavoured cider on special, i picked it up and placed it on the conveyor belt.

This is where i get taken a back.

The cashier just glared at me, and top of her voice "YOU SERIOUS GET REAL"

DD turned around and dived on me to cuddle, she had no idea what to do, i took the money of her.

I am fully aware that kids can not purchase alcohol, i was not going to let her pay, she only had hold of the money she is only 6. i was taken a back, there are ways and means to let people know or remind them, i was so shocked at her attitude that i was not going to draw attention to the situation.

I returned home and emailed them, as it is not the first time i have seen her in action.

Thanks for reading i was in a rant

I'm not surprised you are annoyed, there was no need for her to speak to you like that.

Recieved an email, explaining that it has been passed on to the regional manager who looks after that store, and will be investiagted. I will get a response after that as well.

So at least something will be done, i would not mind, but she tends to have this attitude everytime i go, not with me, i tend to watch from a distance.

That's just ridiculous!!!!!

Fair enough if you weren't there but honestly :sad2: Hope you get a good result!

Hope you hear back with an apology as it sounds totally out of order to be spoken to in such a manner :(

Claire ;)

:headache: Grr there was no need for that attitude.
I hope you get an apology, and a nice reply back! Thats ridiculous.

Very rude...........hopefully you will receive a suitable response and an apology.

Ask for the Regional Managers Address so you can write to him as it's always helps to put pen to paper rather then relie on emails. Get his number also and even ask him to call you.
Hope DD is ok after this bad expirence

Hope you get an apology

Thanks guys its nice to know you feel the same, afterwards i thought i was been a little senstive.

I got an apology in the email lets hope i get one from the regional manager, i wonder what scandivan for sorry is!

I am not sure if it is just me but there seems to be getting more and more ill mannered people on the go :scared1: It is one on my pet peeves :headache:

Good manners cost nothing !

I'm glad you got an apology, the cashier shouldn't have spoken to you like that, that is very poor customer service skills.

I work in a supermarket & I know little kids love to hand the money over, my niece is the same. If alcohol or any age related items are in the purchase I just politely explain to the adult that it has to be them that hand over the money & explain the reason why. I never jump to conlcusions & would never speak to people the way you were spoken to.

Iwork in primark and this afternoon i walked into the fitting room and this elderly man shouted oy you to me because he wanted some help. I just looked round in horror and thought what a rude man. I am pleasant to customers its my way but when they speak to you like that it makes you wonder :lmao:
